Abstract

Abstract Kepulauan Seribu has high enrollment rates, namely 99.51% for elementary school, 98.91% for junior high school, and 75.66% for senior high school. The high of enrollment rates needs to be supported by great quality of teachers as educators. Conducting research and writing papers is one way to improve the quality of teachers. Research in education can improve the pedagogic competence and professionalism of teachers and enhance knowledge. In conducting research, statistical analysis is important but many teachers still have problems when it comes to statistical analysis. The One Way ANOVA method is a statistical method used to compare the mean of more than two data groups. This method has been applied in many studies, including research on education. Consider the importance of doing research and writing papers for teachers and how this method can be applied, One Way ANOVA training was carried out in Kepulauan Seribu. Based on the questionnaire before and after the training, the results represented that the training was able to improve the participants' abilities in analysis using the One Way ANOVA. Participants felt they had gained new knowledge, understood the material well, were motivated for further learning, and received new ideas for developing research in education. Abstrak Angka Partisipasi Sekolah di Kepulauan seribu termasuk tinggi yaitu 99,51% untuk jenjang SD, 98,91% untuk jenjang SMP, dan 75,66% untuk jenjang SMA. Tingginya APS perlu diimbangi dengan baiknya kualitas guru sebagai pengajar. Pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru sebagai pendidik. Penelitian dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesionalitas guru, serta memperluas cakrawala ilmu pengetahuan. Analisis statistik memegang peranan penting dalam penyusunan penelitian namun masih banyak guru yang terkendala. Metode One Way ANOVA adalah salah satu metode statistika yang digunakan untuk membandingkan lebih dari dua kelompok data. One Way Anova mampu menguji kemampuan dari signifikansi hasil penelitian. Metode ini telah diterapkan pada banyak penelitian termasuk penelitian tentang pendidikan. Melihat pentingnya penulisan karya tulis ilmiah bagi guru serta bagaimana metode One Way ANOVA dapat diterapkan maka dilaksanakan pelatihan One Way ANOVA di Wilayah Kepulauan Seribu. Berdasarkan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan didapatkan hasil bahwa pelatihan One Way Anova ini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam analisis menggunakan metode One Way Anova. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan hasil kuesioner setelah pelatihan yang nilainya lebih tinggi dari pada sebelum pelatihan. Peserta merasa mendapatkan pengetahuan baru, memahami materi dengan baik, termotivasi untuk pembelajaran lanjutan, dan mendapat ide baru untuk pengembangan karya ilmiah.

Abstract

Abstract The current rapid and extensive development of rail-based transportation systems, both operationally and in terms of their infrastructure, raises the question of the readiness and awareness of the public, especially among the younger generation, to keep pace with these advancements. The swift evolution of technology, coupled with the increasing complexity of rail networks and the growing number of stations, often leaves train users, especially newcomers, bewildered. This confusion stems from the fact that the procedures for boarding, as well as the ethical culture and safety practices associated with each type of train, vary and have their own specific regulations. Therefore, there is a need for educational efforts in the fields of station literacy, social and ethical culture, and safety.The objectives of this initiative are as follows 1) Introducing various types of trains, including their corporate logos and mascots; 2) Enhancing knowledge about station literacy; 3) Promoting an ethical culture within train stations; 4) Disseminating safety messages at train stations and level crossings. The outcomes of this community-based empowerment program include 1) Increasing the knowledge of our partners, encompassing the readiness of children as the future generation to use trains operating in Indonesia; 2) Fostering polite and rule-abiding ethical behavior in trains and train stations; 3) Cultivating safety-conscious behavior among children and teachers in trains, train stations, and level crossings. Educational aids for this endeavor will employ play-based media designed in accordance with the learning outcomes for Early Childhood Education and Elementary School, encompassing three aspects: Religion and Morality, Self-Identity, and Fundamentals of Literacy and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Abstrak Perkembangan dan pembangunan moda transportasi berbasis rel saat ini berlangsung sangat cepat dan masif baik dari aspek operasional maupun sistemnya. Lalu yang menjadi pertanyaan bagaimana kesiapan (readiness) dan kesadaran (awareness) masyarakat dalam mengikuti perkembangan tersebut terlebih lagi generasi anak-anak. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, diiringi dengan semakin kompleksnya jalur jaringan kereta dan bertambahnya jumlah stasiun sering kali membuat pengguna kereta apalagi pengguna baru kebingungan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh informasi cara naik serta budaya beretika dan keselamatan untuk masing-masing jenis kereta akan mempunyai perbedaan dan peraturannya masing-masing. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan edukasi di bidang pendidikan mengenai literasi stasiun, bidang sosial budaya (budaya beretika) dan bidang keselamatan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu 1) Memperkenalkan berbagai jenis kereta dari logo perusahaan dan maskot; 2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan literasi stasiun; 3) Meningkatkan pengetahuan budaya beretika di stasiun; 4) Menyampaikan pesan keselamatan di stasiun kereta dan perlintasan sebidang. Luaran dari pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat ini yakni meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra meliputi 1) Kesiapan anak-anak sebagai generasi mendatang agar dapat naik kereta yang beroperasi di Indonesia; 2) Terciptanya perilaku beretika yang santun dan sesuai aturan yang diberlakukan di kereta dan stasiun kereta ; 3) Terciptanya perilaku berkeselamatan di kalangan anak-anak dan juga guru di kereta, stasiun kereta, dan perlintasan sebidang. Media alat bantu ajar yang akan dipakai menggunakan media berbasis bermain yang akan didesain sesuai dengan capaian Pembelajaran untuk Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dan SD yang terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu Agama dan Akhlak, Jati diri, dan Dasar-Dasar Literasi dan STEAM.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia is a fertile country because the area is located in the tropics and is crossed by a series of volcanoes. Tropical climate conditions allow Indonesia to have types of vegetation that can survive for agricultural cultivation. Based on data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), West Java Province is in third place. A total of 5.2 million tons of rice is produced from this region. The area of agricultural rice fields constitutes 26 percent of the total area of West Java. Of the various cities and regencies in the West Java region, Subang Regency is in third place with the largest area of agricultural land. However, farmers in Subang still experience various difficulties, such as, (1) Farmers are always at a disadvantage when commodity prices fall; (2) Farmers still use the "latah" pattern in their farming business; (3) Farmers still often experience problems in controlling pests and plant diseases; (4) Farmers have not been able to maintain continuity of production. Based on the existing facts, this time the community service wants to develop an information system that can be used as a reference by farmers in the Subang area. The information developed supports upstream to downstream activities in the agricultural sector, such as providing information on sales of fertilizers, and machinery, planting information on each land, establishing partner collaborations, and online markets. This application can be used by everyone, both people who don't have land and farmers who already have land. Abstrak Indonesia merupakan Negara yang subur, karena daerahnya yang terletak di daerah tropis dan dilewati rangkaian gunung api. Kondisi iklim tropis memungkinkan Indonesia memiliki jenis vegetasi yang dapat hidup untuk budi daya pertanian. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Jawa Barat menempati posisi ketiga. Total 5,2 juta ton beras dihasilkan dari wilayah ini. Luas lahan sawah pertanian tersebut merupakan 26 persen dari total wilayah Jawa Barat. Dari berbagai kota dan kabupaten yang berada di wilayah Jawa Barat, terdapat Kabupaten Subang yang berada di posisi ketiga daerah dengan luas lahan pertanian terbesar. Kendati demikian petani di Subang masih mengalami berbagai kesulitan seperti, (1) Petani selalu dalam posisi dirugikan ketika harga komoditi anjlok; (2) Petani masih saja menggunakan pola “latah” dalam usaha tani mereka; (3) Petani masih sering mengalami kendala dalam pengendalian hama dan penyakit tanaman; (4) Petani belum mampu menjaga kontinuitas produksi. Berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ada maka pengabdian masyarakat kali ini ingin mengembangkan sistem informasi yang bisa dijadikan acuan oleh para petani di lingkungan Subang. Informasi yang dikembangkan mendukung aktivitas hulu ke hilir bidang pertanian, seperti menyediakan informasi penjualan pupuk, alsintan, informasi penanaman di tiap lahan, menjalin Kerjasama mitra, dan pasar online. Aplikasi ini dapat digunakan oleh semua orang baik untuk orang yang belum memiliki lahan maupun petani yang sudah memiliki lahan.

Abstract

This training emphasizes the implementation of the Project Based Learning model and Wiggle Bot as learning tools to enhance teacher engagement as training participants with knowledge about the STEM approach in modern education. In this training session, the teachers worked in groups to design and create a Wiggle Bot, which will then be integrated into the curriculum. After successfully making the Wiggle Bot, the teachers identified the STEM components present in it. This aims to enable teachers to create various STEM projects that align with the learning and concepts of the material taught in class, thereby capturing the students' attention and indirectly engaging them actively in classroom learning. The active involvement of teachers as participants indicates positive feedback from this training. This training not only enhances teachers' skills but also deepens their understanding of STEM concepts and approaches.

Abstract

STEM education is critical in current teaching because it combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a unified learning experience. STEM education focuses on educating students for the changing profession by developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while also addressing gender inequalities in STEM disciplines. Robotics, an important component of STEM education, provides hands-on learning experiences that pique students' curiosity and practical application of STEM principles. To overcome the scarcity of talented individuals in STEM industries, educators must get STEM and robotics training. This publication describes a STEM-Robotics training program meant to help science instructors incorporate robotics into their teaching techniques. The program seeks to improve instructors' robotics education skills, create new teaching techniques, bridge theory and practice, and improve student engagement and learning results. By combining hands-on robotics activities into the curriculum, the program hopes to foster dynamic learning settings that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. This book describes the STEM-Robotics training program's rationale, organization, aims, and expected impact, emphasizing its importance in educating students for future employment in technology, engineering, and other STEM-related disciplines.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of an Android-based multimedia application as a chemistry learning media for visually impaired students on the topic of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This multimedia application is named Chemistry Access. Chemistry Access was developed to meet the needs of inclusive learning media for visually impaired students. The application development process includes needs analysis, design, creation, testing, and evaluation. The results showed that Chemistry Access could improve visually impaired students' understanding of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions materials. The students and teachers' responses to this application were also positive. Based on the evaluation results, it can be concluded that Chemistry Access is effectively used as an inclusive chemistry learning media that meets the special needs of visually impaired students.  Abstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang pengembangan aplikasi multimedia berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran kimia untuk siswa tunanetra pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Aplikasi multimedia ini diberi nama Chemistry Access. Chemistry Access dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan media pembelajaran yang inklusif bagi siswa tunanetra. Proses pengembangan aplikasi meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain, pembuatan, uji coba, hingga evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Chemistry Access mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tunanetra terhadap materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Respon siswa dan guru terhadap aplikasi ini pun positif. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Chemistry Access efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia yang inklusif bagi kebutuhan khusus siswa tunanetra.

Abstract

One of the main challenges faced by partners in this community service program is the lack of understanding among PKK and Posyandu cadres in Jatinegara Kaum Urban Village regarding how to provide appropriate services and stimulation for children with special needs. As individuals who frequently interact with parents and young children, it is crucial for them to understand how to deliver proper stimulation to support the development and growth of these children. Moreover, appropriate stimulation can also help strengthen the bond between parents and their children, preventing unwanted neglect. Some Posyandu cadres are also parents who actively participate in Posyandu activities. Therefore, improving the quality of services they provide is expected to encourage more families with children with special needs to utilize Posyandu services optimally. To support this, the community service program organized a training session for Posyandu cadres on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, and Thursday, June 22, 2023. This training was conducted over two days with different themes each day: identification and stimulation on the first day, followed by counseling and a stimulation workshop on the second day. The event was attended by approximately 60 Posyandu cadres who showed great enthusiasm, both in listening to the material and participating in the question-and-answer sessions. On the second day, several participants also actively practiced the stimulation techniques they had learned. Based on the evaluation questionnaire completed by the participants, most of them expressed a desire for the continuation of similar programs focused on handling children with special needs.  Abstrak Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh mitra dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman kader PKK dan Posyandu di Kelurahan Jatinegara Kaum dalam memberikan pelayanan dan stimulasi yang tepat bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Sebagai pihak yang sering berinteraksi dengan orang tua dan anak usia dini, penting bagi mereka untuk memahami cara memberikan stimulasi yang sesuai guna mendukung perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak-anak tersebut. Selain itu, stimulasi yang tepat juga dapat membantu mempererat hubungan antara orang tua dan anak, sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya pengabaian yang tidak diinginkan. Beberapa kader posyandu juga merupakan orang tua yang aktif dalam kegiatan posyandu. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas layanan yang mereka berikan diharapkan dapat mendorong lebih banyak keluarga dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus untuk memanfaatkan layanan posyandu secara optimal. Untuk mendukung hal ini, program pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengadakan kegiatan penyuluhan bagi kader posyandu pada Rabu, 21 Juni 2023, dan Kamis, 22 Juni 2023. Penyuluhan ini berlangsung selama dua hari dengan tema yang berbeda setiap harinya, yaitu identifikasi dan stimulasi pada hari pertama, serta konseling dan workshop stimulasi pada hari kedua. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh sekitar 60 kader posyandu yang menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, baik dalam menyimak materi maupun saat sesi tanya jawab. Pada hari kedua, beberapa peserta juga aktif mempraktikkan stimulasi yang telah dipelajari. Berdasarkan hasil angket evaluasi, sebagian besar peserta berharap adanya kelanjutan program serupa yang berfokus pada penanganan anak berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

Nowadays, the spread of news has become increasingly easy with the use of gadgets. However, this also increases the risk of misinformation whether disinformation, which is deliberately misleading, or misinformation, which is spread unintentionally. Kampung Sawah, a Betawi community, is unique for having three places of worship located close to each other. The residents, who follow Islam, Christianity, and Catholicism, have lived in harmony since before Indonesia’s independence. This unity has been maintained over generations due to shared traditions, culture, and language, despite religious differences. Amid the rise of hoaxes on social media, residents of Kampung Sawah including teachers, students, and parents of elementary school students in Jatimurni need to develop the ability to distinguish facts from misinformation and act wisely in preventing its spread. To support this, a training session was conducted, accompanied by educational posters, focusing on identifying hoaxes that could affect the values of harmony and tolerance. These posters play a crucial role in improving digital literacy, helping the community recognize factual information, classify misinformation, and prevent its dissemination. Furthermore, they aim to foster a more thoughtful approach in receiving, managing, and sharing information, ensuring that people are not easily influenced by fake news on social media.  Abstrak Saat ini, penyebaran berita menjadi semakin mudah dengan adanya gawai, tetapi hal ini juga meningkatkan risiko penyebaran informasi yang keliru, baik disinformasi yang sengaja dibuat menyesatkan maupun misinformasi yang tersebar tanpa disengaja. Kampung Sawah, sebagai komunitas masyarakat Betawi, memiliki keunikan dengan keberadaan tiga tempat ibadah yang berdekatan. Masyarakat di sana terdiri dari pemeluk Islam, Kristen, dan Katolik yang telah hidup berdampingan secara harmonis sejak sebelum Indonesia merdeka. Kerukunan ini tetap terjaga berkat kesamaan adat, budaya, dan bahasa, meskipun terdapat perbedaan keyakinan. Di tengah maraknya hoaks di media sosial, warga Kampung Sawah, termasuk guru, murid, dan orang tua murid SD di Kelurahan Jatimurni, perlu memiliki kemampuan untuk mengenali fakta serta bersikap bijak dalam menyikapi dan mencegah penyebaran informasi yang tidak benar. Untuk itu, diadakan pelatihan yang dilengkapi dengan poster sebagai media edukasi, terutama dalam mengenali berita hoaks yang dapat memengaruhi nilai kerukunan dan toleransi. Poster ini berperan penting dalam meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat, membantu mereka membedakan fakta dari informasi yang salah, serta mencegah penyebarannya. Selain itu, poster ini juga diharapkan dapat membentuk sikap lebih bijak dalam menerima, mengelola, dan menyebarkan informasi agar tidak mudah terpengaruh oleh berita bohong di media sosial.

Abstract

This training on developing STEM-based teaching modules aims to equip science teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to create teaching materials, such as modules, that will be used in classroom learning. The development of modules is not only relevant to the curriculum but also capable of integrating STEM concepts. This STEM-based teaching module can enhance critical thinking skills and foster students' creativity to face the challenges of the 21st century. The method in this training session began with the presentation of material on STEM education, guidelines for module development, explanations of examples and types of teaching modules, and provided teachers with the opportunity to collaborate or discuss with the facilitators. Because the module that has been developed is expected to integrate STEM concepts into learning materials both in the classroom and during independent study.  Thus, in this training, it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on both teachers and students so that it can be implemented effectively in the classroom with a more interactive and innovative approach, thereby increasing students' interest in learning and enhancing their ability to solve complex problems.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the writing competence of the community, especially youth organizations and local youth. Apart from that, the writing skills that will be carried out are not just ordinary writing, but utilizing technology and its application based on current developments through copy writing. This starts from a lack of understanding and utilization of writing activities other than formal activities such as school. In this case, introduction, knowledge and training regarding copy writing skills are carried out which can be utilized in the economic and business fields such as marketing. Currently, the search for information, knowledge, product introductions or advertisements is not just about images, but needs to be accompanied by the use of appropriate words and sentences. Therefore, basic knowledge is needed and how to develop appropriate writing according to the objectives. The implementation is carried out for one day which consists of delivering material, exercises and discussions to achieve the expected competencies.    Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat, terutama karang taruna dan pemuda setempat. Selain itu, kemampuan menulis yang akan dilakukan bukan sekadar menulis biasa, namun memanfaatkan teknologi dan penerapannya berdasarkan perkembangan saat ini melalui copy writing. Hal ini berawal dari kurangnya pemahaman dan pemanfaatan kegiatan menulis selain dilakukan pada kegiatan formal seperti sekolah. Dalam hal ini dilakukan pengenalan, pengetahuan, dan pelatihan terkait copy writing skill yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam bidang ekonomi dan bisnis seperti pemasaran. Saat ini pencarian informasi, pengetahuan, pengenalan produk atau iklan bukan hanya sekadar gambar saja, namun perlu disertai dengan penggunaan kata serta kalimat yang tepat. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pengetahuan mendasar dan bagaimana mengembangkan tulisan yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan. Untuk pelaksanaan dilaksanakan selama satu hari yang terdiri dari penyampaian materi, latihan, dan diskusi untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan.
