Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: The background of this study highlights the increasing awareness of the importance of investments aligned with Sharia principles, alongside challenges related to limited financial literacy in the Sharia domain. This research aims to analyze the development of Sharia mutual funds in Indonesia in 2023, which have experienced significant growth in line with rising public interest in Sharia-compliant investments. Research Methods: The study employs a qualitative approach by analyzing secondary data obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports, relevant publications, and the latest statistical data. Finding/Results: The findings reveal that the net asset value of Sharia mutual funds reached IDR 42.78 trillion in 2023. This growth was driven by financial technology innovations and efforts to improve financial literacy among the public. Despite this positive trend, challenges persist, such as limited accessibility to products and inadequate public understanding of Sharia mutual funds. Conclusion: The study concludes that Sharia mutual funds hold substantial potential in supporting Indonesia's Sharia economy. However, more effective strategies are needed to enhance education and accessibility to Sharia-compliant financial products, thereby encouraging broader public participation in Sharia investments.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Poverty remains a significant challenge for Indonesia's economic development, further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, making the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) a key strategy for sustainable solutions. This study aims to analyze government strategies for poverty alleviation in Indonesia through MSME empowerment during the period 2020–2023. Research Methods: The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review, encompassing articles, scientific journals, books, and official government reports, to identify policies, programs, and challenges encountered. Finding/Results: The findings reveal that (1) financial assistance and subsidies for MSMEs helped sustain businesses during the pandemic; (2) MSME digitalization programs, including e-commerce training and digital platform provision, enhanced the competitiveness of local products; and (3) entrepreneurial training and market access expansion improved MSME capacities, although implementation remains uneven across Indonesia. Key challenges include limited digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure in remote areas, and weak oversight of aid distribution. Conclusion: This study concludes that MSME empowerment holds significant potential for poverty reduction if supported by sustainable policies, infrastructure strengthening, cross-sector collaboration, and continuous literacy and mentoring initiatives.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Rice consumption in Indonesia reflects the socio-economic dynamics of society and serves as an important indicator for assessing national food security, including at the local level. This article aims to analyze the Trends in Rice Consumption and Its Implications for Food Security in Ponorogo from 2021 to 2023. Research Methods: The study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and other relevant sources, such as local government reports. The analysis is conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach, involving the evaluation of consumption trends, prices, and rice demand elasticity. Finding/Results: The results show that per capita rice consumption in Ponorogo has declined from 1.436 kg/week (2021) to 1.390 kg/week (2023). Key factors include food diversification, increased awareness of healthy eating habits, and changes in purchasing power. Rice demand is inelastic to price increases, indicating that rice remains an essential and irreplaceable staple. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the decline in rice consumption reflects a shift in consumer food preferences towards more diverse options. The implication of these findings is the need for an effective food diversification strategy to maintain food security. Government policies should consider local socio-economic dynamics when designing food programs.

Abstract

The sustainability of a company depends on the effectiveness of financial management, particularly profitability and capital structure. Return on Assets (ROA) measures a company's efficiency in generating profit from its assets, while the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) indicates the balance between equity and debt. The balance between these two factors plays a crucial role in financial stability and the company's competitiveness. This study aims to determine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on firm value, both partially and simultaneously. The research sample consists of PT Indosat Tbk’s financial reports for the 2014-2023 period, using a saturated sampling method. This study employs a descriptive quantitative research method. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that, partially, ROA has no significant effect on firm value, and DER also has no significant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, ROA and DER do not have a significant effect on firm value.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Halal packaged food is a growing market segment, particularly among middle-class consumers who value religious and ethical considerations. This study examines the role of taqwa (spiritual consciousness) in influencing purchasing decisions for halal packaged food and its mediating role between intention and behavior. Methodology: Using the BDI (Belief, Desire, Intention) model, this study identifies how taqwa impacts purchasing decisions. A quantitative survey was conducted with 152 middle-class respondents, and structural analysis was used to examine the relationships between variables. Findings: The results show that taqwa significantly influences halal packaged food purchasing decisions. Belief and desire shape purchase intentions, with taqwa acting as a mediator. These findings highlight the importance of taqwa in shaping consumer behavior and suggest that spirituality plays a crucial role in halal product decisions. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the need for producers and marketers to address spiritual values in halal product marketing. By aligning their strategies with consumers' spiritual and functional needs, businesses can build stronger trust and engagement, enhancing their position in the halal market.

Abstract

This study examines how sales growth can be influenced by total asset turnover, net profit, and profitability. By using financial report data listed on the IDX, and using multiple regression analysis methods, it is found that all independent variables affect the dependent variable simultaneously and partially. Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Net Profit Margin, and profitability play an important role in driving sales growth. TATO shows the efficiency of asset usage to generate sales, while Net Profit Margin reflects the company's ability to manage costs to gain profit from sales. Both together with profitability support the continuous increase in sales volume and value.

The results showed that service quality was related to patient satisfaction (p = 0.026) as well as facilities related to patient satisfaction (p = 0.038). In multivariate the relationship between service quality and satisfaction is more dominant with the value of service quality (Exp (B) value: 2.798 (positive), CI 95%: 1.133-6.912, and facilities (Exp (B) value: 2.600 (positive), CI 95%: 1,043 - 6,483.
