Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate potential of antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory and acute toxicity study of ethanol root extract of Asparagus racemosus Linn (ASR). The antioxidant activities were evaluated using in vitro Ferric reducing power, Free radical scavenging activity by DPPH method, hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, Nitric oxide radical scavenging activity, Super oxide Anion Radical Scavenging Activity and total antioxidant capacity. The anti-inflammatory potential was also evaluated using Hyaluronidase inhibition assay. The effect was compared with a known antioxidant agent (BHA/Ascorbic acid). It was found that the extract at different concentration exhibited a significant dose dependent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect. Acute toxicity study was performed in Wistar rat and an OECD guideline 423 was followed, No sign of toxicity was observed after treating with 2000 mg/kg of ASR.Keywords: Asparagus racemosus, Free radical, acute toxicity, Hyaluronidase inhibition.

Abstract

The -teaching method is one of the modern methods in which all curricula have been taken ,It is one of the methods of teaching that has emerged in the field of modern teaching, which is a method of developing student XSTAP teaching skills, because it is a real teaching is not much different from full teaching training, it contains all the elements of teaching known .The fencing sport is one of the oldest known sports in the world, which has gradually expanded its attention to the increasing interest in its education and training. The researchers used the experimental approach on the students of the third stage in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science University of Kufa (61) students, the tests were used to measure the physiological level of testosterone and to measure the level of performance of the most important skills in the duel. The researchers performed tribal tests and measurements on 27/11/2016, which included the withdrawal of a blood sample to measure the physiological level Testosterone, and then test the performance of basic skills in dueling and the preparation of units for teaching the method of -teaching and conduct post-tests. The researchers concluded that the use of the method of teaching micro-give the results of learning better, helping to achieve the objectives of educational exercises, the use of micro-teaching impact on the secretion of testosterone level, which reflects the strength of personality, and recommended the use of the method of teaching -achieving the objectives of educational exercises ,the use of micro-teaching in the development of personality traits, because the method of teaching -works to develop personal aspects ,and the use of the micro-teaching method with other samples of beginners in learning and with learners in the development of the skillful performance of the fencing .Keyword: Micro -teaching method, Testosterone, Learning , Basic skills and fencing .

Abstract

Objective: This study was aimed to determine the potential of 1,8-cineole to reduce the amount of malondialdehyde (MDA), interleukins (IL)-8 and neutrophils in MMA-exposed lung alveolar cells. Methods: Thirty mice were divided into five groups: a normal control group (K0), a negative control group (K1) and a treatment group, further subdivided into P1, P2 and P3, whose members were administered 5 mg, 10 mg and 15 mg doses of 1,8-cineole. The treatment group subjects were placed in a glass cage containing 150 ppm MMA vapor that has been nebulated by 1.8-cineole vapor for 120 minutes. The mice were subsequently terminated, and tissue removed from their lungs. Observation of MDA and expression of IL-8 was conducted during immunohistochemical examination. Neutrophils was observed using Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) staining. Results: MMA exposure significantly increased MDA, IL-8 and neutrophil counts. Meanwhile, administration of 1, 8-cineole successfully reduced MDA numbers. Fifteen milligrams of 1, 8-cineole constituted the only dose which proved capable of reducing the expression of IL-8. Administration of 1, 8-cineole in all groups also decreased the number of neutrophils. Conclusion: 1, 8-cineole, especially at a dose of 15 mg, can reduce the levels of MDA, IL-8 and neutrophil in the lung tissue of mice following exposure to MMA vapor.Keywords: MMA, 1, 8-cineole, Inflammation, ROS, MDA.

Abstract

Through the experience of the researcher as a teacher working to develop the thinking of the student and give students freedom to think as well as to encourage them to participate positively in the classroom and learn the basic skills in an interesting and enjoyable so used the activities of enrichment and its connection to the process of positive thinking, and the utility of enrichment activities to transfer students from the status of the recipient Negative to the state of positive interaction during the course of the study and because of the recent enrichment activities and use in other materials such as mathematics, chemistry and Arabic use within the classroom, and the introduction of these activities in the enrichment curriculum. One of the contemporary trends in the development of the curriculum of sports in different stages of education, in order to achieve the principle of sport for all and so the researcher remained only to achieve the objectives of this study, which came as follows - to know the degree of positive thinking among fifth-grade students prepare - the number of educational units enrichment activities to learn to target of stability, and the high level of basketball in the fifth grade preparatory students. The research community was determined by the students of Al-Adhamiya for the fifth grade of Literary Literacy, which were 90 students divided into three groups (A + B + C). The research community was determined by the intentional method. The sample was randomly selected in the drawing method, and the number of (60) students distributed equally to the two divisions. Experimental Division A and Division C were withdrawn and pretest tests were conducted with selected skills and then the proposed curriculum was implemented. With 9 weeks. The number of educational units per week reached two educational units, (18) educational units. Different exercises were adopted, different from basketball activities and skills in warm-up and aim to avoid boredom and introduce the element of suspense and fun in the hearts of students. After completion of the curriculum, the researcher conducted post tests under the same pretest conditions, data and statistical treatment and concluded that the use of enrichment activities in the curriculum for the teaching of physical education for female students has a direct and significant impact on the learning of students, skills in question. Enrichment activities also helped to open the door for dialogue and discussion and to express opinions freely through the division of one class into small groups, which in turn helped to learn the skills studied, and the leadership of each group helped to learn the courage and strengthen the personality of the female student.Keywords: Enrichment activities, Positive thinking, High-dribble and the scoring of stability.

Abstract

All over the world cholelithiasis is a main reason of morbidity. Gallstones are public between the general people; many people are ignorant of their presence because they not commonly cause symptoms. The detached of this revision was to conclude the chemical conformation of gallstones and any relationship between the composition of the stone and initiation of acute cholecystitis. For 50 patients (13 males and 37 females), the chemical composition of gallstones was tested. (46 %) of the sample are in age groups (40-50) years old. A seventy four of study participants were female. In 50 gallstone, cholesterol stones 27 (54 %), mixed stone 20 (40 %)   and pigment stones was 3 (6 %). The modifier of female:  male was (5.3:1). The  studying  shown  that Cholelithiasis occurrence  in  the age  group 40-50   ( 23 cases)   is  maximum  follow them   13, 9 and 5 cases for  age  groups  30-39,  51-61  and  62 years  old and  more respectively. About 62% of patients  with  cholelithiasis have  acute  cholecystitis Conclusion: In Al-Kut city  cholesterol gall stones  is  great   incidence   as  associated  to mixed  & pigmented  gall stones and  most patients with cholelithiasis have  acute cholecystitisKeywords: Gall stone, Cholelithiasis, Cholesterol, Bilirubin, Calcium.

Abstract

Objective: Perceived seriousness is considered to mothers in making decisions for the sake of protective attempts upon children suffering from avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). This study aimed to identifyy the predictor factors of motherly skill in managing eating disorder on children with ARFID. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive survey was held to 245 mothers taking care of children with ARFID. This research was conducted in 3 subdistricts and three community public health centres in Malang.  Data were collected by questionnaires of perceived seriousness and a managing eating disorder. Data were processed descriptively, using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression (level of significant 0.05). Results: Factors in respect of motherly skill of managing eating disorder included the feeling of fear of children’s condition (p= 0.006), feeling of failure to contribute when children suffered from malnutrition (p= 0.010), serious condition (p= 0.017), and the whole-life changes (p= 0.002). The multiple-linear regression revealed that factors influenced motherly skill of managing eating disorder covered education (β = 1.089, p = 0.022), the number of children (β = -1.582, p = 0.025), and perceived seriousness (β = 0.097, p = 0.020). Conclusion: This current research had indicated that perceived seriousness was a significant factor to influencing mothers in making decisions for the sake of protection upon their children. Thus, we recommend that motherly belief is fostered in the event of health promotion.Keywords: Perceived seriousness, The skill of managing an eating disorder, ARFID.

Abstract

The aura is one of the desired principles of new criticism school. It can be known as a quality that the art works should have. According to a special place that Hafez’ poetry has found in the mind and language of world, it is considered as one of the outstanding examples for studying the aura element. Since it is essential for Mission of the school of new criticism not to understand the quiddity of aura but how to be created it in a work of art, in this literary investigation we have studied the features that create the aura in Hafiz’ poetry; we examined the factors that cause these features and introduce each of these factors with some examples. The other achievement of this article is to explain the linguistic structures and intellectual factors that generate the aura of Hafez’ poetry.Keywords: New criticism, Luminosity, Linguistic constituents, Intellectual themes.

Abstract

A new ligand complexes have been synthesis from reaction of metal ions of MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII and PdII with schiff base [(E)-1-((2-amino-5-(3, 4, 5-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidin-4-ylimino) methyl) naphthalen-2-ol [HL)]. The prepared [HL] was characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, 1H-13C-NMR spectra Mass spectra and melting point. The compounds were characterized by techniques UV-Vis and FT-IR spectral studies, micro analysis (C.H.N), determination of atomic absorption, chloride content, molar conductivity measurements, magnetic susceptibility and melting point. The ligand acts as a monobasic tridentate, coordinating through deprotonated phenolic O and azomethine N atoms. The compounds are neutral electrolytic in dimethylsulfoxide. The analytical and spectral data for these compounds indicated to (1:2) (metal: ligand) mole ratio. The metal content and magnetic moment suggest the square planar geometry for the palladium ion, but the other metal complexes show six-coordinate. Compounds were having been screened for their antimicrobial activities against various bacteria and fungi organisms using inhibition method.Keywords:  Preparation, Characterization, Azomethine, Inhibition method.

Abstract

Laccases are a model for multi copper oxidases and contribute in several applications such as biopulping textile, bioremediation, food industries and pharmaceutical compounds. In this work, factorial parameter was used to study the optimization of production conditions yielded an enzyme .The fungal laccase which produced by Pleurotus ostreatus using barley bran under optimization condition by solid state fermentation was purified by DEAE-Cellulose (IEXC) and this purified laccase enzyme was effected to pH and temperatures to determine the pH optimum and temperatures for laccase activity using syringaldazine as substrate. Results showed that the optimal conditions for enzyme production were incubation temperature: 35 oC, inoculum size: 3mm discs moisture ratio: 1: 10 W\V, Incubation period: 22 days. Whereas the optimal enzyme activity was at temperature 45°c and the enzyme remain stable at the same temperature.  Further the optimal pH for enzyme activity at 5.6 and more stable in pH 6.6.Keywords: Laccase, Pleurotus ostreatus, Optimization, Laccase production.

Abstract

Ginseng bugis (Talinum panicullatum Gaertn.) leaf is traditionally used in the treatment of diarrhea, ulcers, wounds and skin infections by the people of South Sulawesi province. The leaves contain chemical compounds such as saponins, alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids and triterpenes which can be a source of antioxidants and bactericidal. This study aims to determine the antimicrobial activity of ginseng bugis leaf extract against the microbes. The test microbes used were Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Propionibacterium acnes, Streptococcus mutans, and Candida albicans which has been matured. The antimicrobial activity test used agar well diffusion method with ginseng bugis leaf extract solution with a concentration variation of 0.1%; 0.5%; 1%; 2%; 4%; 8%; 16%; and 32%. The inhibition zone observations were carried out on bacteria incubated at 37oC for 24 hours and fungi incubated at 25oC for 72 hours. The results of the inhibition zone measurement showed that the higher the concentration of the test solution for the ethanol extract of ginseng bugis leaves, the greater the inhibition zone given. Based on the results, the ethanol extract of ginseng bugis leaves had antimicrobial activity at the minimum inhibitory concentration of 1% against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Propionibacterium acne, Candida albicans and a minimum inhibitory concentration of 4% against Streptococcus mutans.
