Abstract

Waste is still the main problem faced by the residents of Jatibaru village. The accumulation of garbage in several locations in Jatibaru village causes an unpleasant smell and becomes prone to disease. In addition, the scenery of Jatibaru village becomes unsightly to the eye. Public awareness and the absence of adequate landfill sites are problems with the accumulation of waste. This Ecobricks training aims to provide solutions to Jatibaru villagers to reduce the accumulation of plastic waste into a useful object. Ecobricks techniques are a practical and inexpensive solution to reduce plastic waste. The results of this training gave positive results to reduce the accumulation of plastic waste. However, there is a need for public awareness to sort plastic waste.

Abstract

The method of this activity is in the form of training and assistance in writing articles and publishing research results to students of the Physical Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mulawarman University. Final semester students are guided to write articles and publish research results in order to improve their abilities and train students to write and publish the results of the scientific work they make. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that students' interest in writing scientific papers is quite high. However, their initial knowledge of scientific papers and writing methods is still lacking. Therefore, this scientific writing training activity is indeed needed to improve students' knowledge and ability to compile scientific papers.  Participants experienced an increase in knowledge and writing skills.  The results of this service show that this training activity is effective in helping students improve their knowledge and ability to write scientific papers. Training in writing scientific papers can be used as a continuous activity. In addition, currently there are various software for writing references for scientific papers. Therefore, it is necessary to hold training on the use of mandeley software for reference so that writing becomes better

Abstract

Not a few people are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is the impact felt on the economic aspect. The risk of lack of income and loss of livelihood has been felt by residents of the Batu Belimbing Tourism Area, Nyarumkop Village, Singkawang City. The purpose of community service is carried out in order to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit by providing counseling related to economic improvement. One of the counselling activities is by providing skills training in batik. The result of this activity is that community members have and develop batik skills that can be used to build new businesses to increase people's income

Abstract

This community service activity aims to help the BIINMAFO organization grow well in East Java. The form of service is in the form of training, assistance for BIINMAFO administrators in East Java. The activity was carried out for two consecutive days involving 15 core BIINMAFO administrators. The topics of the study presented were Organizational Philosophy, Organizational Governance, and Identification of Organizational Problems to find alternative solutions that were useful for the advancement of BIINMAFO. The result of this activity is that BIINMAFO's core management is able to map problems, grow awareness of the organization's philosophy, and how to design good governance for BIINMAFO. Of course, it is not easy to realize good organizational governance. A follow-up program is needed as an effort to create a good BIINMAFO organization in East Java.

Abstract

This workshop is aimed at providing participants with the skills to create internal HR dashboard applications without the need for programming or coding skills. The workshop will cover the creation of internal HR dashboard applications using KNIME and Appsheet for android platforms, integrating data from various sources, and displaying data in an easily readable and understandable format. The methods used include direct learning, group discussions, and independent practice. Participants who can attend this workshop include HR staff, HR managers, or other staff who wish to learn how to create internal HR dashboard applications. Through this workshop, participants will benefit from being able to create internal HR dashboard applications without the need for programming or coding skills, managing HR data more effectively and efficiently, and increasing the effectiveness of HR management in the organization

Abstract

The principle of the Indonesian Red Cross service is the spirit of neutrality and independence, having a major role in providing safe, ready-to-use blood in sufficient quantities so that it can meet the demands of patients in need. The purpose of this activity is the implementation of blood donor activities in the community as an effort to maintain health. Activities in community service include health education and blood donation. The number of residents identified as registering to become blood donors was 61 people. After being screened by the Blood Transfusion Unit officers, 49 people were eligible to donate their blood. Public understanding of the importance of blood donation has increased and blood donation activities can be carried out smoothly as expected. People who cannot donate blood should be given an education

Abstract

The incidence of diarrhea in Indonesia was 3.0% in children aged 5-14. The incidence of diarrhea in South Sumatra in 2017 reached 174,808 and has increased to 94,563 million every year. The behavior of washing hands with soap, especially after contact with feces, can reduce the incidence of diarrhea by 42-47%. Snacks pose a risk to health because their handling is often unhygienic, contaminating the snacks. This activity aims to educate children about the relationship between personal hygiene and snack consumption patterns with diarrhea. This activity observed 57 students of SD Darul Fadhli Palembang. This activity concludes that there is an increase in personal hygiene, snack consumption patterns, and the knowledge of diarrhea. It is recommended that schools pay more attention to children during snack time and collaborate with health centers for routine counseling about diarrheal diseases and their prevention

Abstract

Luwuk Village is a  village located in the Gunungsari district,  Serang regency. The vital agriculture in this village is melinjo.    Meanwhile,  animal husbandry, buffalo, goats, and chickens are the main attractions in this village. The purpose of this service is to empower the Luwuk Village community to utilize household waste,  livestock and agricultural waste that can be used as organic fertilizer.   Organic fertilizer is expected to reduce the consumption of chemical fertilizers and increase soil fertility. It can control plant-disturbing organisms to increase the production of melinjo, which is the primary commodity for the people of Luwuk Village.   The service method used is in the form of socialization and training in making organic fertilizers. The results achieved in the implementation of the service of the Application of   Appropriate  Technology for the  Manufacture of Organic Fertilizer in Luwuk Village,  Gunungsari District, Serang  Regency are (1) the community can take advantage of waste into fertilizer;(2) utilization of fertilizer from household organic waste for agriculture; (4) environmental cleanliness from organic waste. The benefits of this service activity are: (1) For lecturers, they can contribute their knowledge and thoughts to the community; (2) For people in the  Luwuk Village area,  Gunungsari District,   Serang Regency,  they can produce compost independently and relatively cheaply from the processing results organic waste as a support for the processing of agricultural processes and agricultural products

Abstract

Occupation, including fishermen, is one type of work that has potential hazards and risks of accidents and occupational diseases because fishing activities are carried out in the middle of the sea or along the coast. Fishermen can experience work accidents such as drowning, drifting, ship damage, injuries due to fish spines, low back pain, fever and others. Fishermen need personal protective equipment to reduce the risk of accidents and occupational diseases. The objectives of holding education to increase knowledge and behavior of fishermen's occupational health safety regarding personal protective equipment in fishermen settlements in Galang District, Batam City are: 1) increasing knowledge of occupational safety and health of fishermen regarding fishermen's personal protective equipment. 2) improve fishermen's occupational safety and health behavior towards personal protective equipment. 3) fishermen can use standard personal protective equipment.

Abstract

A location with shady greening is indeed very much needed by every region, one of which is Sedati Gede Village in Sedati Sidoarjo district. The rapid access in this village has a bad impact on the empowerment of existing parks. Therefore, participants of the Real Work Lecture from PGRI Adi Buana University Surabaya carried one of their programs, namely the creation and maintenance of the Sedati Gede green park. This park will later become a place with a source of clean air, comfort, and as an interacting area for the community and other living things. These benefits are also supported by good waste management efforts in the park area by doing 1) reduce, reuse, recycle 2) reduce plastic waste, and 3) reduce food packaging waste. With these efforts, maintenance, and regular maintenance, Sedati Gede park is ready to become a green acre that has a positive impact on the community and others
