Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of pop-up book media in improving the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTsN 1 North Aceh in understanding explanatory text material. The research was driven by the need to enhance student engagement and comprehension through innovative instructional media. The central research question addresses whether the use of pop-up books can significantly improve students’ academic performance in explanatory texts. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, this study utilized both quantitative and qualitative approaches. A total of 25 students participated as subjects. In the first cycle, the average score was 74.16, with 68% of students meeting the minimum competency standard (KKM). In the second cycle, the average increased to 85.32, with 88% of students achieving the standard. These findings indicate a marked improvement in student performance, demonstrating that the integration of pop-up book media is effective in enhancing learning outcomes. The study concludes that pop-up books serve as an engaging and pedagogically valuable tool for teaching explanatory texts in the junior high school context.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has profoundly reshaped the manufacturing sector, boosting productivity while intensifying concerns over job displacement. This study investigates strategic measures to safeguard the workforce amidst increasing AI integration, using Indonesia’s manufacturing industry as a case study. Employing a qualitative research design, the study adopts a case study approach supported by in-depth interviews with key stakeholders and comprehensive policy analysis. The results indicate that effective workforce protection demands a multifaceted strategy encompassing reskilling initiatives, regulatory frameworks specific to AI, and cross-sector collaboration among government, industry, and academia. The study recommends enhancing digital skills training, offering incentives for industries that implement inclusive labor transitions, and establishing equitable AI governance. In conclusion, the research highlights critical pathways for fostering a balanced coexistence between technological innovation and labor security in the era of automation.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Portfolio Learning Model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 101788 Marindal 1 during the 2024–2025 academic year. The research employed a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups: Class V-A as the control group and Class V-B as the experimental group. Data were collected through tests measuring the application of the portfolio learning model (independent variable) and students’ learning difficulties (dependent variable). The findings indicate that the Portfolio Learning Model was categorized as effective, as evidenced by the average score of 82.2 in the experimental class, with a standard deviation of 9.06. In contrast, the average score for learning difficulties was 51.67, with a standard deviation of 7.81. Hypothesis testing using the product moment correlation formula revealed that the calculated t-value (tcount = 0.06) was lower than the critical value (ttable = 0.245), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. These results suggest a significant influence of the Portfolio Learning Model in reducing learning difficulties and improving academic performance among elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan aritmatika siswa sekolah dasar melalui studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka terhadap beberapa artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, serta motivasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam topik aritmatika. Model ini dinilai efektif karena melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui proyek yang kontekstual dan kolaboratif
