Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design a website-based employee attendance system at SMP Santo Leo as a solution to the weaknesses of the manual attendance system which is prone to recording errors, data loss, and inefficiencies in recapitulation and attendance monitoring. The design method uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach to systematically visualize system needs and workflows. The system developed has the main features in the form of recording attendance in and out of the house, applying for permits, and making automatic attendance reports. The system test is carried out using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method based on five aspects: functionality, ease of use, suitability, system performance, and interface display. The test results show that the user satisfaction rate is in the range of 85% to 92%, which is categorized as "Excellent". The evaluation concluded that the system was in accordance with the design, ran stable, was easy to use without special training, and was able to improve efficiency and accuracy in employee attendance management. This system is declared feasible to be implemented operationally within the Santo Leo Junior High School environment and has the potential to support managerial decision-making based on attendance data. The study also recommends further development through integration with payroll systems and automated notification features to improve the functionality and usability of the system.

Abstract

Fresh water is one of the essential needs in ship operations, used for daily needs such as cooking, bathing, and washing, as well as supporting the function of equipment in the engine room. Fresh water distribution on ships is generally carried out using hydrophore tanks, which are pressurized tanks that utilize compressed air to distribute water throughout the system. However, in practice, hydrophore tanks often face problems in the pressure system due to reduced air volume, which can disrupt the smooth distribution of fresh water and reduce the ship's work efficiency. To address these problems, this study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method by designing an Internet of Things (loT)-based control and monitoring system. The system is designed through the integration of pressure sensors, water level sensors, ESP32 microcontrollers, solenoid valves, and buzzers. Testing is carried out in stages through static tests, dynamic tests, and actual integrated testing to ensure system reliability. The test results show that the system is able to monitor air pressure and water level in real-time, as well as control solenoid valves and pumps automatically when the pressure is below the minimum limit or exceeds the maximum threshold. Sensor data was successfully transmitted via WiFi to a web server and Android app, allowing ship operators to perform remote monitoring and receive notifications when overpressure or underpressure occurs. Thus, this loT-based hydrophore pressure control system has proven effective in maintaining pressure stability and improving the efficiency of freshwater distribution on board ships. This system also has the potential to be further developed by adding a cloud-based data storage feature for more comprehensive long-term pressure trend analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how Universitas Fajar (Unifa) utilizes Instagram as a communication tool to deliver information regarding New Student Admissions (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru/PMB). The focus of this research encompasses the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy applied through five elements: advertising, public relations, direct marketing, digital marketing, and sales promotion. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews with social media managers and public relations staff, as well as observations of the university’s official Instagram content.The findings indicate that Unifa implements advertising through paid Instagram ads to broaden the reach of information across various regions in Sulawesi. Public relations strategies are carried out by maintaining timely publication and consistency in the campus’s visual identity, ensuring messages are professional and reinforce brand image. Direct marketing is evident in the form of responsive two-way communication in comment sections and direct messages, while digital marketing is optimized through the use of hashtags, collaborations among departmental accounts, and paid content optimization. Sales promotion strategies include offering scholarships, tuition discounts, and enrollment wave promotions as additional incentives for prospective students.These findings confirm that the effective implementation of an integrated communication strategy not only enhances campus visibility but also builds trust, interaction, and brand awareness among prospective students. The study recommends more consistent and responsive social media management to further optimize promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the creative process of the Teater Kafha team in raising stakeholder awareness regarding environmental issues through the theater performance "Re(kognisi)". The focus of this research is to understand how environmental messages are constructed within the performance, how communication strategies are manifested through elements of the performance such as the script, symbols, actors, artistic direction, and audience interaction, and how the audience interprets and responds to these messages. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation for data collection. The results indicate that Teater Kafha develops a collaborative creative process by combining the ideas of the director, artistic team, and actors to translate environmental issues into communicative stage symbols. Communication strategies are realized through the composition of a reflective script, the use of strong visual symbols, deep actor expressions, and spatial arrangements that create an immersive experience for the audience. Audience responses to the performance show a new understanding and critical reflection on environmental issues, particularly regarding the impact of a geothermal project that serves as the backdrop of the performance. This study emphasizes that performing arts, particularly theater, can function as an alternative communication medium that effectively articulates social and environmental issues. Through this approach, theater plays a significant role in broadening public awareness of important and urgent environmental issues.

Abstract

The development of digital communication technology has drastically transformed human interaction patterns, especially through social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube. While digital connectivity has increased, a paradoxical phenomenon known as alone together has emerged, where increased online interaction is accompanied by a decline in face-to-face communication. This study aims to analyze how the intensity of Facebook and YouTube usage influences the formation of alone together culture among students at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Buddha (STAB) Nalanda. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was used, and a sample of 100 respondents was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that both Facebook (β = 0.41; p < 0.05) and YouTube (β = 0.37; p < 0.05) significantly influence the alone together culture, with a combined contribution of 62% (R² = 0.62). These findings support the Uses and Gratifications theory, which suggests that social media use can fulfill communication needs but also create a paradox where online connections rise while face-to-face closeness declines. The study underscores the importance of digital literacy in balancing social media usage with direct interpersonal interaction, ensuring that communication quality is maintained while minimizing the negative effects of alone together

Abstract

Efficient and transparent inventory control is increasingly crucial for sustaining supply chain performance in the digital age. Conventional systems often face challenges such as poor visibility, vulnerability to data manipulation, and inefficiencies in stock monitoring. To address these issues, this research proposes a novel inventory management framework integrating Python, MySQL, and blockchain technology, following a Research and Development (R&D) methodology involving need assessment, system design, implementation, testing, and validation. The framework utilizes Python as the core programming language, MySQL for structured data management, and blockchain as a decentralized security layer to ensure data integrity and traceability. The system architecture consists of six main modules: inbound stock management, outbound stock management, blockchain-based storage, validation mechanisms, a user-friendly interface, and reporting tools. Black-box testing confirmed that all modules met their specifications, while security evaluations showed that the blockchain layer, with the SHA-256 hashing algorithm, effectively detected simulated data manipulation attempts. Performance testing revealed a linear increase in processing time relative to transaction volume, with the framework maintaining stability under medium-scale operational loads. This study contributes to the literature on blockchain-enabled inventory systems by introducing a structured, integrative model, and provides a practical framework that enhances efficiency, transparency, and accountability in inventory management. Future research is encouraged to explore scalability challenges and optimize consensus mechanisms for large-scale applications.

Abstract

Advertising is one of the forms of external cyber public relations carried out by companies in promotion both through mass media and sosial media. Technological advances have created new forms of interaction and sosialization, one of which is the innovation of communication technology in the form of sosial media. One of the most popular and trending sosial media is YouTube. Advertising is an effective form of promotion of a product or service by using sosial media YouTube as done by Nature Republic. Nature Republic used youtube to promote and introduce the Brand Ambassador NCT 127 in improving the Brand image through the display of an advertisement Nature Republic with NCT 127, on youtube in wide coverage, and better known by the public. As far as the formula of the problem of this study is to find out how much influence the media nature republic with NCT 127 on the Brand image nature republic study of the case of the display of Advertising Nature Republic with NC T 127 on sosial media Youtube. The study uses a quantitative method with an approach to the survey method, using Taro Yamane to obtain the sample with a total of 83 respondents, non-probability sampling techniques, while data collection techniques use the distribution of questionnaires through googleform. The results show that there is a positive and significant influence between media influence on Brand image and moderate influence.

Abstract

Limited access to public information in rural areas is a barrier to achieving transparency and responsive government services. This study aims to design the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) of a mobile-based village service application to facilitate public access to services and information digitally. The Double Diamond approach was used to identify problems and develop user-centered design solutions. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method on five respondents with diverse age, occupation, and digital literacy backgrounds. The study focused on developing key features, such as letter submission, village announcements, public complaints, budget transparency, village news, and integrated health post (Posyandu) schedules. The results of the study were an application prototype with a simple, easy-to-use interface that aligns with the digital habits of village residents. Based on the SUS testing, the prototype obtained an average score of 85, indicating excellent usability and user acceptance. These findings suggest that a user-centered design approach can improve the quality of digital public services at the village level. For future research, it is recommended to involve more respondents from diverse backgrounds and consider other evaluation methods, such as the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) or Heuristic Evaluation, to gain a deeper understanding of the quality and comfort of the user interface. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political framing strategy employed by Verrell Bramasta through his personal Instagram account during the 2024 Election campaign, utilizing Robert N. Entman's framing model. Social media, particularly Instagram, was selected as it serves as a strategic platform for young politicians to build their image, foster emotional connections, and garner public support. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive method, employing digital documentation techniques on five Instagram posts from @bramastavrl that received the highest interactions during the campaign period. The analysis was conducted using Entman's four framing indicators: defining the problem, diagnosing the cause, making moral judgments, and offering treatment recommendations. This study reveals that: 1) A distinct framing pattern exists on Verrel Bramasta's Instagram account. 2) Overall, the content shared during the campaign period conveys a positive image of Verrel Bramasta as a young politician capable of representing the younger generation in the political arena. 3) Verrel Bramasta effectively utilizes Instagram through captions, photos, videos, and jingles to shape favorable public perceptions and secure political support.

Abstract

This research explores the effectiveness of TikTok advertising in enhancing brand awareness among Generation Z students at IAI AL-AZIS. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation to capture comprehensive insights. The analysis is framed using Uses and Gratifications Theory, the Hierarchy of effects Model, and Persuasive Communication Theory. Findings indicate that TikTok advertising successfully builds brand awareness through three stages: cognitive, affective, and conative. Advertisements that appear authentic, light, and contextually relevant to students are considered the most impactful. However, several challenges emerge, such as monotonous content, overpromising messages, and a lack of transparency, which can reduce credibility. The research further emphasizes that TikTok, while commonly perceived as an entertainment platform, has shifted into a strategic medium for marketing communication, particularly for young audiences. Importantly, when integrated with Islamic values—such as honesty, usefulness, and simplicity—TikTok advertising not only influences consumer perception but also contributes to ethical communication practices in a digital context.
