Abstract

This study examines the da'wah strategy employed by the Instagram account @penting_ngaji_, which features a question-and-answer (Q&A) approach to fiqh issues based on trusted Islamic reference books (mu'tabarah). Amid the rise of digital da'wah content that often emphasizes sensationalism and virality, this account presents a model of da'wah that is respectful, scholarly, and ethical. The aim of this research is to explore how this account has developed an effective da'wah strategy that communicates effectively while remaining grounded in Islamic moral principles. The research uses content analysis of 20 video reels published between February 1 and June 1, 2025. Each piece of content is analyzed based on communication style, use of references from Islamic texts, message structure, and ethical values reflected in the delivery of the da’wah. The analysis applies communication ethics theories, specifically deontological and teleological approaches. The deontological approach focuses on the moral duties and principles involved in delivering da’wah, while the teleological approach emphasizes the outcomes achieved from the da’wah delivery, particularly in terms of achieving beneficial goals for the audience. The findings show that @penting_ngaji_ has successfully developed a value-based preaching model that is adaptable to social media, without compromising the substance and ethics of the da’wah. This model uses simple, logical language grounded in trusted Islamic texts, addressing relevant issues faced by Muslims today. The study is expected to contribute to the development of higher-quality digital da’wah, serving as a reference for digital preachers to maintain ethics and the validity of religious sources in the modern era. It emphasizes the importance of ensuring that da’wah remains consistent with authentic Islamic teachings, even when delivered through digital platforms that often prioritize speed and popularity.

Abstract

Recommendation systems have become an essential part of improving user experience, particularly in movie selection. With the ever-increasing number of movie titles, users often experience difficulty in determining which movies suit their interests and needs. Mismatches in movie selection, particularly in terms of age classification, can have negative impacts, particularly for children exposed to inappropriate content. Therefore, a recommendation system is needed that not only considers user preferences but also takes into account age restrictions. This study aims to build a movie recommendation system using a content-based filtering approach, considering two main aspects: genre and age classification. In its implementation, the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method is used as a word weighting technique for movie content information. This weighting is then used to calculate the level of similarity between movies using the Cosine Similarity method. This system is designed to be able to recommend relevant movies based on user preference input, such as the desired movie genre and the appropriate age classification. An evaluation was conducted to measure the extent to which the system is able to provide recommendations that match user preferences. The evaluation results show a similarity value of 1.00 for the genre aspect and 1.00 for the age classification aspect. This score indicates that the system successfully recommended highly relevant films that met the user's specified criteria. Therefore, the developed recommendation system effectively filters and suggests films that are not only content-appropriate but also safe for viewing based on the specified age restrictions.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive world of work, companies are required to have a fast, efficient, and objective employee selection process to get the best candidates. However, the high number of job applicants often causes the administrative selection process to be slow, inefficient, and prone to subjective errors in assessment. Therefore, a technology-based solution is needed that is able to systematically classify job applicants based on relevant criteria. This study proposes the application of the K-Means Clustering method to group job applicants based on three main variables, namely last education, work experience, and selection test scores. A total of 20 applicant data were analyzed using the K-Means algorithm with the stages of initial centroid initialization, Euclidean distance calculation, and iteration until the convergence point was reached. The results of the grouping resulted in three main categories: prioritized, considered, and doubtful applicants. Each group has its own characteristics that can help the HRD team in compiling a more selective and accurate list of candidates. This system is implemented in the form of a web-based recruitment platform that makes it easier for companies to conduct early selection automatically, structured, and data-based. The use of this method also increases accuracy and transparency in decision-making and reduces the potential for bias that often occurs in manual selection. These findings prove that K-Means Clustering is an effective and applicable method to support strategic decision-making in the field of human resources, especially in the early stages of employee selection. Additionally, this method can be easily adapted to the needs of other companies that have different selection criteria, making it flexible and widely applicable. The potential for the development of this system is also open to integration with other technologies such as machine learning or big data analytics in the future.

Abstract

Internal communication is a strategic component that plays a crucial role in supporting organizational success, particularly in creating work-life balance and employee performance management. This study aims to analyze the internal communication strategy of PT ABC, an information technology company, to simultaneously improve both aspects. A dynamic work environment characterized by tight deadlines and a project-based work culture creates high levels of stress for employees, leading to an increased risk of burnout and decreased satisfaction with the performance management system. Based on internal company data, fluctuations in work-life balance scores over the past three years have been found, as well as a consistent decline in the assessment of the performance management system. This study uses a qualitative case study approach, where data were obtained through in-depth interviews and analysis of internal company documents. The results indicate that structured, two-way, and adaptive internal communication plays a significant role in strengthening employees' perceptions of the fairness of the performance system and supporting their well-being. A participatory communication strategy bridges the gap between organizational policies and employee needs, creating a healthier and more productive work environment. These findings confirm that internal communication serves not only as a means of conveying information but also as a strategic instrument for increasing long-term employee loyalty and retention. Furthermore, this study also shows that transparency in internal communication is crucial for building trust between management and employees. When information regarding performance management policies, rewards, and efforts to improve work-life balance is communicated openly, employees feel valued and more involved in the decision-making process. This not only increases job satisfaction but also reduces dissatisfaction, which can lead to employee turnover.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital library applications in the era of information technology necessitates a systematic evaluation of user experience. Online user reviews contain valuable information that can be analyzed to measure service effectiveness. This study aims to identify user perceptions through sentiment analysis and compare the performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classification algorithms. This applied research collects 6,000 reviews via web scraping from the Google Play Store, focusing on two applications: iPusnas and Gramedia Digital. The data processing begins with text preprocessing to clean the text data, followed by feature extraction using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) to identify relevant features before classification with both algorithms. The performance of the algorithms is evaluated using a confusion matrix to measure accuracy based on the number of correct and incorrect predictions. The results show that the SVM algorithm achieves higher accuracy, with 77.78% for iPusnas and 79.34% for Gramedia Digital. In contrast, KNN only achieves 40.06% accuracy for iPusnas and 60.54% for Gramedia Digital. From these results, it can be concluded that SVM outperforms KNN in processing digital library application user reviews. This indicates that SVM is more effective in handling large and complex review data. Based on these findings, it is recommended that digital library application developers utilize SVM in sentiment analysis systems to enhance service quality and user experience. Future research may consider aspect-based approaches or a combination of algorithms to achieve more optimal results in sentiment analysis.

Abstract

Catur Insan Cendekia University (UCIC) currently utilizes manual processes involving Google Forms and Excel for tracer study implementation, resulting in inefficient alumni data collection and processing characterized by error susceptibility and fragmentation. The existing alumni portal further fails to deliver value-added resources—such as statistical tracer study analytics or structured alumni databases—impeding curriculum evaluation and evidence-based decision-making. This research develops a web-based tracer study system employing Lean Software Development (LSD) methodology to enhance data management efficiency and accuracy. The technical architecture incorporates Laravel framework (PHP), MySQL database management, and Visual Studio Code. System design utilizes UML diagrams—including use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams—to ensure functional alignment with stakeholder requirements. Blackbox testing validation confirms optimal performance of core functionalities: user authentication, questionnaire completion, alumni data administration, and tracer study monitoring across predefined scenarios. The system successfully replaces manual workflows, mitigates data loss risks, and streamlines alumni status tracking with improved questionnaire response rates. Consequently, this solution demonstrates viability for implementing structured and integrated tracer study processes at UCIC. System design utilizes Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams—including use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams—to ensure functional alignment with stakeholder requirements. These diagrams guide the development team in creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface, ensuring that all stakeholders—such as alumni, administrative staff, and faculty—are able to easily interact with the system and access relevant data. Blackbox testing validation confirms optimal performance of core functionalities: user authentication, questionnaire completion, alumni data administration, and tracer study monitoring across predefined scenarios. The system's rigorous testing process also includes stress tests to ensure it can handle large volumes of data without performance degradation.
