Abstract

Journalistic communities play a strategic role in shaping young journalists, one of which is Generasi Radar Banten. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the Generasi Radar Banten community in guiding its members in writing news and articles, identify the training methods used, and examine the challenges faced in the journalistic learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis related to the community’s activities. The findings reveal that the community has a structured mentoring system through workshops, discussions, and field practice in news coverage and writing. The applied learning methods adhere to journalistic principles such as the inverted pyramid, feature writing, and editing techniques. Challenges encountered include limited resources, varying skill levels among members, and adaptation to digital media changes. Nevertheless, the community has successfully enhanced members' writing skills and expanded their professional networks. In conclusion, Generasi Radar Banten plays a significant role in training young journalists by providing effective learning programs. This study recommends strengthening the mentoring system and adapting to media technology developments to improve the quality of learning in journalistic communities.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of TikTok social media in building the brand image of Mie Gacoan restaurant. PT Pesta Pora Abadi has a subsidiary company engaged in the food sector, namely Mie Gacoan, which focuses on selling spicy noodles. Mie Gacoan is the No. 1 Spicy Noodle brand in Indonesia, Mi Gacoan relies on social media as the main tool in marketing their products. Platforms such as Instagram and TikTok are important means to reach the target market, especially among young people. Therefore, in this study, researchers use qualitative methodology with a literature study approach model, namely to find out about the role of social media in building a brand image (Mie Gacoan case study). The system used is carried out through searching, reading, listening, taking notes from significant previous research, which is sourced from national books and journals. The focus of this research is how the role of TikTok, the strategy used, and the impact of its use of social media on the image of the Mie Gacoan brand. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of TikTok, identify the strategies used, and evaluate the impact on the brand image and company performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges faced by cobek aren craftsmen in Kampung Lamping, Ciamis Regency, in marketing their products after the pandemic. Aren Creativity emerged as a solution through the implementation of a hybrid marketing communication strategy that combines offline and online marketing methods. This study aims to explore how this strategy plays a role in empowering craftsmen and expanding the market for handicraft products. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and direct observation of business actors and local craftsmen. The findings show that the hybrid marketing communication strategy implemented by Aren Creativity successfully expanded the market reach of cobek aren products and encouraged the active involvement of craftsmen in the marketing chain. The combination of conventional and digital marketing has led to increased sales volume, strengthened local branding, and improved the welfare of the craftsmen. The research was analyzed using the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) theory by Don E. Schultz, which is relevant in describing message consistency and integration across communication channels. The implications of this study indicate that the hybrid marketing communication strategy is effectively applicable in the context of rural UMKM as an effort to empower communities and adapt to the digital era.

Abstract

Building a children’s character is an important aspect in the development of their personality in the future. In addition, building children’s character also requires a consistent and sustainable approach. Moral and ethical values are not enough to be taught theoretically, but must also be applied in everday life. And interpersonal communication can also strengthen children’s social skills. When parents or other family members become models of respectful communication, children will imitate this pattern in their interactions outside the home, such as the school or in the play environment. This study aims to determine how parental interpersonal communication builds children’s characterin Bojongla Village, Rancaekek Distict. The type of research used by the researcher is qualitative, namely using data obtained through in-depth interviews with three parents as the main informants who have elementary school aged children. The results of the study showed that interpersonal communication carried out by parents to children includes verbal and nonverbal communication, with a communication style that is open, empathetic, and supportive.

Abstract

Digital technology plays an important role in improving the competitiveness of businesses. HashMicro, as an ERP software provider, utilizes content writer strategies as part of digital marketing to increase brand awareness and attract business people to their products. This research aims to analyze the content writer strategy implemented by HashMicro in the context of B2B marketing. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and analysis of published articles. Data were analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that HashMicro integrates the AIDA principle (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) in its content writer strategy, with a focus on keyword research, the preparation of educational and emotional articles, and the use of attractive visuals to facilitate audience understanding. In addition, SEO-optimized article writing succeeded in increasing visibility and audience engagement, thus strengthening HashMicro's position in the digital market. This research provides insight into the effectiveness of content writer strategies in increasing brand awareness and interest of business audiences and provides recommendations for other companies in optimally utilizing content marketing.

Abstract

Autoimmune skin diseases are conditions in which the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin tissue, causing inflammation, tissue damage, and changes in skin color. The similarity of symptoms among various autoimmune skin diseases, such as psoriasis, lichen planus, vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa, and dermatomyositis, presents a challenge for accurate and timely diagnosis. This study was conducted to support the diagnostic process by utilizing deep learning technology, specifically the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method with the DenseNet121 architecture. Data augmentation techniques were also applied in this study to increase dataset variation, allowing for a performance comparison between the original dataset and the augmented dataset. The results show that the CNN model with the DenseNet121 architecture, configured with a batch size of 32 and 60 epochs on the augmented dataset, achieved a high accuracy rate of 92.43%. The model was then implemented into a web-based application and integrated using the Flask framework.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpersonal communication anxiety experienced by Communication Science students of Universitas Medan Area (UMA) from the 2020/2021 cohort during the thesis supervision process. Communication anxiety is one of the main barriers in academic interactions between students and their supervisors, directly affecting the effectiveness of supervision and thesis completion. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, involving 12 purposively selected informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Braun & Clarke’s thematic analysis. The findings reveal various forms of anxiety, including nervousness when speaking, fear of criticism, confusion in expressing ideas, and avoidance of supervision, both in person and via digital media. The causes stem from internal factors (such as low self-confidence and academic perfectionism) and external factors (such as rigid communication styles of supervisors and limited access to communication). The impact of anxiety includes thesis delays, decreased motivation, and reduced academic productivity. Several adaptive strategies were identified, such as seeking peer support, preparing notes before consultations, and choosing appropriate times for communication. This study provides valuable insights for educational institutions to foster a more supportive and responsive supervision environment that addresses students' psychological needs.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the application of smart tourism as a digital transformation strategy to attract tourists in samosir districts. Using a mix mix approach (qualitative and quantitative), the study examined three key aspects: (1) the application of smart tourism in support of the digital transformation of the tourism sector, (2) the motivations, perceptions, and preferences of tourists, and (3) the contributing factors and implementation barriers. Research shows that web-based digital strategies, samosir tourism applications, and social media have been able to increase tourist attractiveness, with 89.8% of those who rely on digital technology for travel planning. However, challenges such as unequal digital infrastructure and low local UMKM participation on digital platforms are still a hindrance. USES and drivers theory are used to understand how tourists actively use digital technology. The study concludes that smart tourism does have a significant impact on the increase in tourist visits, while also offering recommendations for expanding Internet networks, leveraging apps, and empowering local businesses through digital training. These findings favor samosir districts as a continuing modern tourist destination.

Abstract

With the rapid advancement of information technology, maintaining a stable and efficient computer network has become essential, particularly in educational settings. SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya encounters difficulties in managing its limited bandwidth because of the large number of users accessing the network simultaneously. This research focuses on applying bandwidth management through the Queue Tree technique combined with Per Connection Queuing (PCQ) on the school's computer network using Mikrotik hardware. The approach aims to enhance network performance by improving throughput, minimizing delays, and stabilizing jitter. Evaluation of Quality of Service (QoS) indicators—including throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter—demonstrated favorable outcomes, with all metrics categorized as good. Findings confirm that using Queue Tree and PCQ methods contributes to fairer bandwidth distribution, mitigates network congestion, and improves overall network quality in the educational environment. This study offers a practical solution to support teaching and administrative processes by providing a more reliable and efficient network infrastructure.

Abstract

Pests are a major challenge for rice farmers because they can reduce the quality of the harvest. Manual pest control which is still widely used tends to be less effective and requires large costs and energy. With the advancement of technology, there is a more effective innovative solution, namely Node MCU-based devices that utilize renewable energy, such as solar cells. This device is able to repel pests automatically and is environmentally friendly, making it a more modern and sustainable alternative. This study aims to design a Node MCU-based rice pest repellent system with energy from solar cells. The results of this study showed that the tool ran smoothly, indicated by the absence of errors when turning on the tool, and had 2 failures during the command execution process from 20 tool trials, therefore the percentage of resistance to malfunction of 90% was obtained from the number of failed trials multiplied by 100, and the results multiplied by the total number of trials. It can be concluded that the tool functioned normally during the trial in the rice field area.
