Abstract

Handling customer complaints is a crucial aspect of maintaining loyalty, especially in manufacturing industries such as ceramics. PT Primarindo Argatile faces various complaints from agents, particularly regarding product defects and delivery issues. This study aims to examine the communication strategies implemented by the company in addressing complaints and to identify the challenges encountered in the process. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews and documentation of customer complaints over the past six months. The results show that the company’s communication strategy has been systematically designed, emphasizing openness, empathy, and professionalism. The company implements a standard operating procedure (SOP) for handling complaints, utilizes multiple communication channels (telephone, WhatsApp, email, and social media), and conducts regular evaluations to improve services. Within the CRM framework, this communication strategy includes the role of marketing staff in building relationships (people), the application of SOPs and follow-up procedures (process), and the use of digital technology (technology). Nevertheless, several obstacles remain, including differences in understanding due to technical terminology, emotional challenges when customers are upset, time constraints caused by internal procedures, customer dissatisfaction despite provided solutions, and inconsistent responses among staff.

Abstract

The Field Experience Practice (PPL) is a key component of the Information Technology and Computer Education program at UIN SMDD BKT, designed to provide students with direct teaching experience and opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in real contexts. However, assigning suitable PPL locations can be challenging as various factors must be considered to match student abilities and conditions. This study develops an expert system using the Sugeno-type Fuzzy Logic method to assist in determining PPL placements objectively. The system evaluates four main indicators: students’ residence, microteaching scores, religious scores, and practice scores. After development, the system underwent validity, practicality, and effectiveness testing. The results showed a validity score of 0.9, indicating very high reliability; a practicality score of 0.78, showing ease of use; and an effectiveness score of 0.76, confirming the system’s ability to support decision-making in PPL placement. These findings demonstrate that the expert system is valid, practical, and effective, making it a reliable tool for assigning students to appropriate teaching locations. Consequently, the system is expected to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the placement process by ensuring that students are positioned in environments aligned with the established criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of informative advertisements and sales promotions on consumer purchase decisions, as well as to measure the partial effects of informative advertisements and sales promotions on purchase decisions, and to simultaneously assess their combined effect on consumer purchase decisions. In this study, the variable X1 represents informative advertisements, which include dimensions such as informing the market about new products, explaining how a product works, and suggesting new ways to use a product. The variable X2 represents sales promotions, which include dimensions such as coupons, price packs (money-off deals), and event marketing or event sponsorship. The variable Y in this study is consumer purchase decisions, which consist of dimensions like problem recognition, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase behavior. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and data collection through questionnaires given to 144 respondents who are followers of the Instagram account @theoriginote. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, with sampling using the simple random sampling technique. The results indicate that the informative advertisement variable has an effect of 51.2%, while the sales promotion variable has an effect of 66.6%. Simultaneously, both informative advertisements and sales promotions have a combined effect of 67.9% on consumer purchase decisions, with the remaining influence coming from external factors not covered by the study.

Abstract

The research presents an examination of Ohm’s Law in practice through the development of a simple MATLAB-based program named OHM1.m. The program is designed to calculate the electric voltage based on the current and resistance values entered by the user. The program structure consists of a few concise lines of code, including screen clearing, variable initialization, input retrieval, voltage calculation using the equation V = I x R, and formatted result presentation. The analysis shows that the program has several advantages, such as simplicity, interactivity, organized output, and strong relevance to education. Nevertheless, some limitations exist, including the absence of input validation, lack of batch data support, and the unavailability of graphical visualization. Potential enhancements include adding input validation, integrating V–I plotting, supporting vector input, and developing a graphical user interface (GUI). The program execution results are consistent with Ohm’s Law theory, making it an effective learning tool for both Electrical Engineering and Informatics students. Therefore, this program can serve as a foundation before progressing to more complex circuit simulations.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has provided great opportunities to improve the quality of educational management, particularly in terms of teacher performance evaluation and monitoring. At SMA Katolik Santa Maria Homba Karipit, the process of monitoring teacher performance is still conducted manually through written reports and administrative assessments, which often causes obstacles such as delays in data processing, information redundancy, and a lack of transparency in presenting evaluation results. This research aims to design and implement a web-based teacher performance monitoring information system that facilitates data collection, information processing, and report presentation more quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner. The research applies the waterfall system development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The web-based system was developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database, allowing it to be accessed flexibly through the internet. The results of the study indicate that the developed system successfully improves the efficiency of teacher performance data management, accelerates report generation, and provides real-time access for the school management, including principals and evaluation teams. Furthermore, the system also supports greater transparency and accountability, as all data are well-recorded and easily traceable. Therefore, the implementation of this web-based teacher performance monitoring system is expected to be an effective solution in supporting school management quality and promoting teacher professionalism at SMA Katolik Santa Maria Homba Karipit

Abstract

The motorcycle industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, marked by the increasing number of two-wheeled vehicles every year. Dealer Dinamika Motor Kupang, also known as PT. Dinamika Sejahtera Motor, is one of the authorized Honda motorcycle dealers in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Dinamika Motor Kupang faces the challenge of predicting market demand in order to design a more effective business strategy. Based on the number of motorcycle sales from 2022-2024, there are increases and decreases in the number of motorcycle sales. Therefore, a system is needed to predict motorcycle sales so that it can determine the sales level in the following months and years. This study aims to make a prediction of Honda motorcycle sales using the Autoregressive (AR) method. This method was chosen because it is able to analyze historical data patterns and provide accurate sales estimates. This study uses Honda motorcycle sales data for the period 2022–2024. Based on the test results, the MAPE value obtained was 22.73% with the normal distribution AR model, and 7.81% with the binomial distribution AR model. These results indicate that the binomial distribution AR model is more optimal in predicting motor sales on Beetle Motor Dynamics.

Abstract

Cucumber is a horticultural crop with numerous benefits, both in the food and industrial sectors. One of the main driving factors is the infestation of plant diseases such as yellowing leaves, powdery mildew, and root rot, which impact crop yields and farmer income. To address this issue, an expert system capable of detecting cucumber plant diseases using Mamdani Fuzzy Logistics (FUZZ). The Mamdani Fuzzy Logistics method was chosen because of its decision-making capabilities and its easy-to-understand linguistic-based rules. This system is designed to enable farmers to detect diseases early, take appropriate mitigation measures, and reduce the risk of crop failure. Implementing this technology is expected to increase efficiency in agricultural management and maintain cucumber production. Testing results on 20 cucumber plant data samples using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) yielded an error of 10%. The results showed that two cucumber plant samples showed diagnostic inconsistencies. With this system, farmers are expected to be able to more quickly identify the types of diseases that endanger cucumber plants and also obtain recommendations for appropriate solutions to handle the problem, thereby being able to maintain agricultural productivity.iceable decline in recent years. Abstract

Various species of Capsicum plants belong to the chili pepper genus, but five main species are most widely cultivated. Chili peppers are primarily grown for their fruits, which are important agricultural commodities. However, chili pepper productivity often declines due to pest and disease attacks. Because of this circumstance, a system that can help farmers promptly and precisely identify and manage plant diseases is required. In order to handle ambiguity in the reasoning process, this work aims to develop an expert system that uses the Certainty Factor (CF) method to identify infections in chili plants. The system is built on a knowledge base obtained from agricultural experts, covering five types of diseases and 18 main symptoms. The application is designed as a desktop-based software with a simple user interface and a maximum of seven selectable symptoms to improve diagnostic accuracy. A 10% error rate was obtained from testing 30 chili plant data samples using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), with three samples exhibiting diagnostic differences. This system is expected to enable farmers to more  rapidly identify the types of diseases affecting chili plants and to obtain appropriate handling recommendations, thereby helping maintain agricultural productivity.

Abstract

Public sector digital transformation requires a deep understanding of the digital readiness of each administrative region. The Electronic Government System (EGIS) Index is used by the Government of Indonesia as a measuring tool to assess the digital maturity of government agencies. This study aims to cluster districts/cities in West Java Province based on their 2023 EGIS scores to identify hidden patterns of digital readiness. Three unsupervised learning algorithms—K-Means, DBSCAN, and Agglomerative Clustering—are used to explore data-driven regional segmentation. The analyzed dataset includes 27 administrative regions and a number of numerical features related to the EGIS dimensions. The results show that each method is able to form clusters that reflect variations in digital readiness, with DBSCAN producing the most detailed segmentation and being able to detect outliers. Agglomerative Clustering shows good hierarchical separation, while K-Means provides a fairly representative general division. This study provides an analytical basis for contextual and targeted cluster-based policy making in developing regional digital transformation.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of the rise of influencers that have sprung up on social media by focusing on how to communicate beauty influencers on Youtube social media or better known as Beauty Vloggers with its followers.  These beauty vloggers are invited to work together in promoting a product to improve the brand image to the target sales of the brand company concerned.  In its performance in promoting the product, Beauty Vlogger as a trendsetter affects its audience by communicating persuasively wrapped in the word product review as a form of promoting it.  The way they communicate this will later affect the audience response to be interested to buy a product.  Research uses a quantitative method approach.  The data analysis used is a simple linear regression analysis model with the population in this study is the viewer of the Beauty Vlogger video on YouTube, especially on the @livjunkie channel.  The number of samples in this study was 100 respondents, the results were obtained based on calculations using the Slovin formula on the number of followers of the @livjunkie channel.  The results of this study indicate the influence of persuasive communication by beauty vlogger on consumer buying interest.  This result was obtained based on the coefficient of determination with a value of 62.1% which indicated that variable X had a significant and positive effect on the Y variable.
