Abstract

The problem formulation in this research is “How is Children’s Expressive Language Ability using Audio Visual Media in Group A Children Of TK ABA Dehuwalolo, Limboto Subdistrict”. This rsearch aims to describe the expressive language ability of children using audio-visual media in group A (15 children) of TK ABA Dehuwalolo, Limboto subdistrict. This is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects were the principal, educators, students in group A, and parent. Observation, interviews, and documentation were carried out using data collection techniques. Based on the research and discussion results, it can be concluded that teachers and parents have successfully applied children’s expressive language skills using audio-visual media. In some indicators of expressive language skills, some children can use it expressively and others’ skills have started to appear and can express their languages. Children’s expressive language skills using audio-visual media can be seen through how children were able to use short sentences, describe pictures or what is in the video, speak when needed and know when to ask and argue, and use more than two question words.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of cutting activities on the fine motor skills of Group B children at TK State Pembina KH Dewantoro Kindergarten, South City, Gorontalo City. An experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was used. The study was conducted over two months, involving 21 children as the sample. Data collection was carried out using a performance test. A pre-test was performed to measure fine motor skills before the intervention, followed by the implementation of a cutting activity with paper for eight sessions. After the intervention, a post-test was conducted to assess changes in the children's fine motor skills. The results showed that the average score of fine motor skills before the intervention was 56.75, which increased to 88.76 after the intervention. The t-test revealed a t-statistic value of -24.720 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating that the p-value is less than the established significance level (0.05). Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, indicating that the cutting activity had a significant effect on improving the children's fine motor skills. These findings confirm that the cutting activities applied were effective in improving the fine motor skills of children at TK State Pembina KH Dewantoro Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Diva cartoon videos on reading literacy skills at TK Perwati Kindergarten, Kota Tengah District, Gorontalo City. The researcher used quantitative research with an experimental method, specifically a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study results, with a sample size of 16 children, showed a difference in the average scores between the pre-test and post-test, which were 13.69 and 29.13, respectively. Furthermore, the hypothesis testing indicated that the hypothesis (Hi) was accepted, with a linear regression test showing a significant value of 0.000, which was less than 0.05. This proves that Diva cartoon videos significantly affect children's reading literacy skills at TK Perwati Kindergarten, Kota Tengah District, Gorontalo City.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of an English extracurricular program as an initial foreign language for children aged 4-5 years at TK Muslimat NU 200 Kureksari. Through this program, it is expected that children can be introduced to English in a fun, interactive, and developmentally appropriate manner. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the research show that the English extracurricular program is capable of improving children's language skills, although several challenges in its implementation remain, especially related to teaching methods and limited time.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of flag ceremonies at Taman Kanak-Kanak Muslimat NU Bunga Harapan Lamongan and its impact on developing children's self-confidence. The flag ceremony is a formal ritual involving the raising of the national flag, conducted regularly in various educational institutions. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to depict the phenomena and social interactions within the ceremony activities. Data collection methods include observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that engaging children as alternating officers during flag ceremonies can enhance their self-confidence. Children feel proud and happy when chosen by teachers to perform these roles, contributing to their character development and independence. Therefore, the application of flag ceremonies in educational settings positively influences children's personality formation

Abstract

The Influence of Busybook Media on Letter Recognition Ability in Group B Children at Aster Kindergarten, Molosipat W Village, Kota Barat District, Gorontalo City. Early Childhood Education Teacher Education. Principal Supervisor I: Drs. Yakob Napu, M.Pd; Co-Supervisor II: Sri Wahyuningsi Laiya, S.Pd, M.Pd. This study aims to determine the effect of Busybook media on the letter recognition ability of Group B children at Aster Kindergarten, Molosipat W Village, West City District, Gorontalo City. This research used a quantitative approach with an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling, and data collection methods include tests and observation, where children’s letter recognition abilities were measured before and after the treatment using Busybook media. The instrument used in this study to assess letter recognition ability based on three indicators. The subjects of this study were children aged 5-6 years, with a sample size of 15 children. Data analysis results indicated a significant increase in children's letter recognition ability after the implementation of Busybook media. The t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 with α = 0.05; since the significance value from the t-test is smaller than α (0.000 < 0.05), the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. It can be concluded that Busybook media has an effect on children's letter recognition ability and can be considered an effective teaching method in early childhood education. Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the problems of using gadgets in early childhood, the factors that cause problems in using gadgets in early childhood, parents' efforts to overcome the problems of using gadgets in early childhood during the COVID-19 pandemic, Environment V, Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District . This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were parents of children aged 1-6 years in Environment V, Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District. The researcher's data collection process used interview, observation and documentation methods. Analysis of the data obtained by the author uses the Miles and Hubermen concept, namely data analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research reveal: 1) the problem of using gadgets in early childhood during the COVID-19 pandemic is that children are addicted to watching YouTube, children's emotions are uncontrolled and children are less responsive when called; 2) the factor causing problems in using gadgets in early childhood during the COVID-19 pandemic is the busyness of parents to make their work easier and seeing the family environment playing with gadgets; 3) parents' efforts to overcome the problem of using gadgets in early childhood during the COVID-19 pandemic include providing alternative games, giving gadgets when the battery is low, hiding gadgets from children, being strict about prohibiting children, not filling internet quotas.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Islamic children's music extracurricular activities in supporting the language development of children aged 4-5 years at TK Muslimat NU 200 Kureksari. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews with teachers and documentation of extracurricular activities. The results of the study indicate that Islamic children's music activities consisting of religious songs and Islamic prayers are effective in improving children's vocabulary, articulation, and understanding of language concepts. Children who participate in this extracurricular activity show significant improvements in speaking skills, mastery of new vocabulary, and understanding of the meaning of Islamic words used in songs. This study concludes that Islamic music has an important role in the language development of early childhood and can be an effective tool in fun language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) What strategies do teachers use in implementing offline learning at RA Ahsanil Hasna (2) What strategies do teachers use in implementing offline learning at RA Ahsanil Hasna (3) Why are these strategies used in implementing offline learning at RA Ahsanil Hasna. This research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach, with research subjects: School Principals, Teachers and Students. In collecting data, researchers used interview, observation and documentation methods. The research results can be concluded: (1) The strategy used during the pandemic at RA Ahsanil Hasna was, expository strategy, where in this strategy, the teacher was the main source and provider of information. (2) Implementation of learning using the shift method is divided into 2 learning waves. This was obtained based on interviews with school principals and teachers at RA Ahsanil Hasna (3) The use of the shift method in offline learning activities at RA Ahsanil Hasna is more effective than learning via Whatsapp .

Abstract

The purpose of this journal is because there are still many kindergartens/RAs that do not fully understand the management of learning environments. This paper aims to understand and describe the findings of observations conducted at RA An-Nur Babalan regarding the management system of learning environments. Based on the findings of the study, RA An-Nur Babalan has successfully implemented a learning environment system. The stages of this research are descriptive qualitative research, where researchers try to describe and explain the object of research according to existing knowledge. The methods used in this study are observation and interviews. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through several steps, namely data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that RA An-Nur Babalan can create a learning environment that involves students (invites them into the classroom), encourages them to be independent, and has implemented the process of using the learning environment, as well as applying several principles of the learning environment. This study can be used to support the idea that the learning process, which includes teaching students about their social, emotional, and intellectual environments, has a general purpose of providing a means for them to engage in various activities.
