Abstract

The rise in electronic product demand and consumption has led to an increase in electronic waste, posing a challenge to reducing environmental impacts and achieving sustainability. Therefore, transition efforts towards a circular economy, involving various parties including consumers, are needed. This research aims to determine the relationship between factors influencing consumer purchase intentions towards circular economy products, focusing on refurbished electronics and recycled electronics. This research extended the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) by adding environmental concern, perceived risk, and receptivity to green communication variables. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires distributed online using non-probability sampling. Analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Based on a data sample of 289 respondents, the results show that attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, and receptivity to green communication variables significantly influence consumer purchase intentions regarding refurbished and recycled gadgets. Another finding is that environmental concern emerges as a positive driver across all TPB factors, while perceived risk negatively impacts consumer attitudes. The research implications suggest that companies should focus on building positive consumer attitudes through quality assurance programs, leverage social influence through environmental campaigns, and develop transparent communication strategies to address perceived risks while highlighting the environmental benefits of circular products.

Abstract

Safety in fuel oil (BBM) distribution is a top priority given the high risks that can occur, such as fires, spills, and accidents due to mechanical failures. This study analyses the factors that cause operational incidents at PT ABC, specifically truck operational accidents in fuel distribution, by applying the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods. Data collection was conducted through field studies and interviews with stakeholders, including drivers, mechanics, and logistics management. The results showed that the main causes of incidents included suboptimal vehicle maintenance, inappropriate tyre pressure, driver fatigue, and brake system failure. Risk analysis showed that tyre bursts had the highest risk level with a score of 10 on the risk matrix. The implementation of risk control measures, such as daily inspections (P2H), the use of tyre pressure gauges, and safety training for drivers, contributed significantly to lowering the number of operational incidents and improving on-time delivery. The implementation of stricter safety procedures resulted in improved operational efficiency at PT ABC, with a decrease in the number of incidents and the achievement of 100% on-time delivery by the final quarter of 2024. In conclusion, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), regular vehicle maintenance, and increased driver safety awareness are key factors in creating a safer and more sustainable fuel distribution system

Abstract

Gunung Keling Village, located in Cigugur Subdistrict, Kuningan Regency, West Java, has great potential for managing dairy cattle waste into organic fertilizer, as there are about 700 cows in the village. BUMDes Gunung Keling was established in 2018 to support the village’s economic development, but it still faces various challenges, including the lack of a clear business profile. This business profile is essential to identify the village’s potential, attract investors, and develop long-term work programs. One proposed solution is processing cattle manure using EM4 (Effective Microorganism 4) technology to produce high-quality compost. This compost can enhance soil fertility and support farming activities, which is expected to create a sustainable ecosystem in Gunung Keling Village. Through collaboration between students, BUMDes, village officials, and the community, the village’s economic potential can be developed optimally, balancing economic development with the preservation of local resources.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a framework and matrix for Key Risk Indicators (KRI) to address significant risks, thereby supporting the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within press organizations. Employing a qualitative methodology, the study adopts a case study approach focusing on the primary business process of PT PPI, specifically its news production activities. The investigation is motivated by challenges confronting the press industry amidst rapid digital technological advancements, which have reshaped public consumption patterns of mass media. PT PPI, a newly established press company leveraging cutting-edge technology, currently lacks adequate tools for risk monitoring. To address this gap, the study applies a Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) framework to identify and analyze the risks faced by the organization. Among the 82 risks identified, 26 were deemed critical, with 10 exhibiting a substantial impact on the company. These risks were categorized into four main groups: operational, legal, reputational, and technological risks. The study culminated in the design of 24 Key Risk Indicators, providing a structured and systematic approach to enhancing risk management practices.

Abstract

Generation Z now constitutes the largest segment of Indonesia's workforce, bringing distinct values and expectations to highly structured sectors like state-owned construction enterprises (BUMN Karya). However, performance and engagement surveys indicate Gen Z scores lower in both job satisfaction and performance compared to other generations, highlighting a critical need to understand the drivers of their workplace effectiveness. This research aims to investigate the impact of harmonious passion, work environment, and role clarity on job performance among Generation Z employees in Indonesia’s state-owned construction sector, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, using data from 265 respondents collected via online questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was applied for analysis. The findings indicate that role clarity and work environment significantly affect job performance both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. Harmonious passion, while not directly influencing performance, enhances job satisfaction, which in turn partially mediates its effect on performance. The research underscores the importance of fostering a supportive work environment, ensuring role clarity, and nurturing intrinsic motivation to improve job satisfaction and performance among Gen Z workers. Practical implications include recommendations for organizations to enhance communication, provide meaningful work, and create conducive working conditions to boost productivity and retention.

Abstract

The construction of dams is part of a national strategic project that requires optimal resource management in order to improve contractor performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of various project resource factors—such as human resources, materials, equipment, implementation methods, information technology, and the environment—on the performance of contractors in dam projects in Java. The research method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approaches. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to 125 respondents who were directly involved in four dam projects, namely the Cijurey, Jragung, Cabean, and Bago Dams. The results of the analysis show that not all resource variables have a significant effect on the performance of contractors. The variables that have a significant influence both in terms of importance and performance are equipment, implementation methods, and environment, while human and material resources do not have a significant influence. These findings confirm the importance of optimizing the management of equipment and working methods as well as adjusting to the project's environmental conditions. This research makes a practical contribution in the management of multi-dam projects, especially in determining the priority scale of resource management that has an impact on improving the overall performance of contractors.
