Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental factors, wage systems, coordination, and worker productivity on the completion time performance of government building construction projects in Pangkalpinang City. Using descriptive quantitative methods and multiple linear regression analysis, the results of the study indicate that these four variables simultaneously contribute 85.4% to project completion. The wage factor is the dominant factor with a contribution of 72.59%, indicating that an effective wage system can improve the efficiency of project completion. Possible solutions include providing wages based on skills, work duration, performance, type of work, and incentives to increase worker productivity. This study provides recommendations for project managers to optimize workforce management strategies to ensure projects are completed on time with optimal quality.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Indonesia. Early detection of the locally advanced stage is crucial for therapy selection and prognosis. This study evaluates the diagnostic value of the Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) from diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) in detecting breast cancer and assessing local advancement. A retrospective design was used with 50 patients who underwent breast MRI at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Hospital, Denpasar. ADC values were compared with histopathology for cancer confirmation and surgical reports for staging. At a cut-off of 1.088 × 10⁻³ mm²/s, ADC demonstrated excellent performance in distinguishing cancer from non-cancer (sensitivity 100%, specificity 96%, PPV 96.1%, NPV 100%, LR+ 25, LR- 0.0, accuracy 98%). However, for detecting locally advanced disease (cut-off 0.815 × 10⁻³ mm²/s), performance was lower (sensitivity 61.5%, specificity 75%, accuracy 68%). These results emphasize ADC's reliability in diagnosing breast cancer but suggest limitations in staging, highlighting the need for multimodal imaging and clinical assessment integration to improve accuracy and guide treatment decisions.

Abstract

Phubbing, or phone snubbing, refers to the tendency of individuals to ignore people around them by focusing excessively on their mobile phones. This phenomenon is increasingly common among college students, who are among the highest users of the internet and smartphones in Indonesia. Previous research indicates that psychological factors, particularly life satisfaction, may influence phubbing behavior. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether life satisfaction can predict phubbing among college students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a causal–correlational design. A total of 200 students aged 18–25 years were recruited using a convenience sampling technique. Life satisfaction was measured with the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), while phubbing was assessed using the Phubbing Scale. Both instruments showed adequate levels of validity and reliability. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression after classical assumption tests were met. The results indicate that life satisfaction does not significantly predict phubbing behavior, either in overall phubbing scores or in its dimensions of communication disturbance and phone obsession. These findings suggest that life satisfaction alone cannot explain the occurrence of phubbing, and other psychological factors such as loneliness and flow may play a more critical role. In conclusion, life satisfaction is not a predictor of phubbing among Indonesian college students. Theoretically, this study contributes to the literature on digital behavior and positive psychology. Practically, the findings provide insights for educators, parents, and policymakers to design strategies that address phubbing behavior more effectively.

Abstract

Copyright is an essential component of Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) that provides exclusive protection to creators and rights holders, including in the context of broadcasting rights for international sports events. In the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, PT Inter Sport Marketing (ISM) obtained an official license from FIFA for the Indonesian territory, including the authority to grant sub-licenses to television stations and public viewing service providers. However, in practice, numerous infringements occurred, such as hotels, restaurants, and cafés organizing public viewing events without official authorization, resulting in economic losses for the license holder. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection available to the licensee of World Cup broadcasting rights under Undang-Undang Nomor 28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta and contract law principles. The research employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach based on secondary legal materials. The findings reveal that legal protection is provided in two forms: preventive, through licensing requirements and royalty payments, and repressive, through litigation in commercial and criminal courts. This study underscores the importance of consistent law enforcement to ensure legal certainty, prevent economic losses, and strengthen perlindungan hak cipta in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of employee adaptation to STARA (Smart Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Algorithm) on service performance, considering the mediating roles of job crafting, job insecurity, and work engagement. Employing an explanatory quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data were collected from 249 frontline employees in Jabodetabek who interact with customers and utilize STARA in their work. The results reveal that STARA awareness as a challenge appraisal positively influences service performance, whereas hindrance appraisal has a negative effect. Work engagement and job crafting significantly mediate the positive relationship between challenge appraisal and service performance, while job insecurity exacerbates the negative impact of hindrance appraisal. The study offers theoretical contributions by clarifying adaptive mechanisms to STARA in the service sector. Practically, it suggests organizations enhance training and psychological support to boost work engagement, implement job crafting programs to reduce job insecurity, and adopt clear communication strategies to position STARA as an opportunity rather than a threat.

Abstract

Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) affects approximately 45–95% of women of reproductive age in Indonesia and may interfere with daily activities. Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological disorder caused by an imbalance of progesterone in the blood, leading to pain. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), dysmenorrhea is referred to as tongjing and is often associated with yang deficiency syndrome. Ginger and palm sugar decoction has natural warming, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects, making it suitable for treating cold-type menstrual pain based on TCM principles. Objective: To determine the effect of ginger and palm sugar decoction on reducing primary dysmenorrhea in adolescents with yang deficiency syndrome. Methods: A quantitative study using a single-group pretest-posttest design without a control group. A total of 20 adolescent girls aged 10–18 were given the decoction three times a day for two days. The study was conducted at Mitshaqul Ummah Islamic Boarding School, Cianjur Regency. Results: The average pain score decreased from 4.10 to 1.75 after intervention. The Paired Sample T-Test showed a t-value of 14.104 (df = 19) with a significance level of p < 0.001, indicating a statistically significant reduction in pain. A 50% decrease was also found in seven key indicators of yang deficiency symptoms, based on a TCM physical constitution questionnaire. Conclusion: Ginger and palm sugar decoction significantly reduces the severity of primary dysmenorrhea and alleviates symptoms of yang deficiency. These findings are consistent with TCM principles, which emphasize warming the body and strengthening yang energy to relieve pain.

Abstract

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) represents the world's largest regional trade agreement, encompassing ASEAN, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, covering 30% of the global economy. This study analyzes opportunities from the RCEP agreement for ASEAN's economic and non-economic gains through the lens of neoliberal institutionalism and international cooperation theory. The research methodology compares the RCEP agreement with existing relevant agreements, analyzes trade data and trends between RCEP members, and identifies opportunities based on regional issues. Methods include comparative analysis of trade agreements, examination of trade in goods and services data, and evaluation of regional cooperation frameworks. Results indicate that ASEAN can leverage e-commerce growth to strengthen extra-regional integration, gain strategic positions in production chains, and increase trade-in services value through small and medium enterprise development. For non-economic aspects, enhanced international trade within RCEP can help maintain regional stability and address data security challenges. The study finds no evidence of state centrality requirements in RCEP, contrary to common arguments about regional leadership dynamics. The RCEP framework provides ASEAN with opportunities to enhance both economic competitiveness and political security through multilateral cooperation without requiring hierarchical leadership structures.
