Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of promotion and word of mouth on the decision to use Aya Makeup services through Instagram with service quality as a moderation variable. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 105 respondents who had used Aya Makeup's services. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, while the data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results of the study show that promotion has a positive and significant effect on the decision to use services. In addition, word of mouth and service quality have also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on service usage decisions. Service quality has the greatest influence on improving service usage decisions compared to other variables. However, the quality of service is not able to moderate the relationship between promotion and the decision to use the service nor the relationship between word of mouth and the decision to use the service. A determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.840 indicates that promotion, word of mouth, and service quality are able to explain 84% of the variation in service usage decisions. These findings indicate that increasing the effectiveness of promotions, strengthening consumer recommendations, and providing quality services are important factors in encouraging consumer decisions to use Aya Makeup services.

Abstract

The digital transformation has driven the emergence of digital talent pool systems such as Diploy, developed by Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs to bridge Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) graduates with industry demand. However, evaluation has become urgent because the platform shows very low effectiveness; only about 1% of DTS graduates have been successfully recruited through Diploy. This indicates a substantial gap between the platform's strategic goals and its actual performance. Before designing appropriate improvement strategies, it is crucial to understand the factors that drive employer partners to discontinue using Diploy. This study aims to analyze the key factors influencing discontinuance decisions, focusing on two dimensions: experiential and external factors. Using a quantitative approach, the study applies Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that poor system quality has a statistically significant effect on platform discontinuance (p = 0.015), underscoring the importance of technical reliability in retaining users. Other variables, such as information quality, service quality, talent mismatch, and trust, do not exhibit statistically significant influence. This insignificance may stem from varied user experiences and a lower perceived urgency compared with the immediate impact of technical issues on recruitment. Therefore, improving system performance should be prioritized, alongside long-term efforts to enhance platform credibility and talent fit.

Abstract

Theopurpose ofothis studyois toodetermine the analysis of non-physical work enviironment, motivation, and workload on employeoperformance withojob satisfactionoas an interveningovariable. Theoresearch methodoused inothis studyois a quantitativeoresearch method with a descriptiveoandoverification approach. Dataocollection techniques in thisostudy are interviews, questionnaires, andoobservations with a population of 90 drivers. Theosampling techniqueoused in thisostudy is a non-probability samplingotechnique with sensus sampling. The analytical tool in thisostudy is SmartPLS 4 for verification analysis. Testing of measurement models or outer models in this study is convergentovalidity, discriminantovalidity, AverageoVariance Extractedo (AVE), compositeoreliability, Cronbachoalpha. The structural model or inner models tested in this study were the coefficientoof determinationo (R2) and predictiveorelevance (Q2). Theoresults of thisostudy indiicate thatothe non-physiical work enviironment and motivation have a positiive and signiificant effectt on job satisfactiion partially, while workload has no effectt on job satisfactiion partially. Workload and satiisfaction have a posiitive and signifiicant effectt on peerformance, while the non-physiical work enviironment and motiivation have nooeffect onoperformance partially. Simultaneously, the effect is 76.1%, and the remaiining 23.9% is inflluenced by other facttors. Job satisfaction can mediate the non-physiical work enviironment and motivation on emplloyee perforrmance, but cannot mediate the effect of workload on emplloyee peerformance.

Abstract

Pizza Gaza is a culinary MSME that produces and distributes frozen pizzas through a reseller network with social media engagement in the form of humanitarian contribution to Palestine. The main issues facing this enterprise are suboptimal digital marketing and declining sales performance during a specific period. This research aims to implement a digital marketing plan at Pizza Gaza to expand market reach, increase brand visibility, and encourage sales improvement. The research uses a qualitative approach with a business coaching method. Primary data is collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the frameworks of Business Model Canvas (BMC), Value Proposition Canvas (VPC), PESTEL, VRIO, SWOT, and gap analysis. Based on the results of this analysis, a digital marketing plan is designed and implemented through brand positioning, content pillars, content calendars, marketing funnels, and paid social media advertising campaigns through Meta Ads and TikTok Ads. Research results show that implementing this plan successfully increased Pizza Gaza brand visibility and reached a wider audience. TikTok Ads demonstrated superior performance in reach and engagement, while Meta Ads proved more cost-efficient. There is evidence of improved sales post-campaign, marked by 13 new transactions and increased unit sales across various product variants. These findings demonstrate that targeted, data-driven digital marketing effectively supports MSME marketing performance.

Abstract

Solar energy is a promising renewable resource in Indonesia due to the country’s high year-round solar availability. In rooftop photovoltaic systems, solar irradiation is a key factor affecting panel output, particularly on the DC side. This study addresses the limited integration of satellite-based irradiation analysis, technical data processing, statistical modeling, and household electricity consumption in a single framework for rooftop photovoltaic planning. The study aims to analyze the characteristics of solar irradiation in Depok City, estimate the DC output of a 400 Wp monocrystalline module, and simulate the contribution of rooftop photovoltaic systems to reducing grid-imported electricity and household electricity bills. A quantitative approach was applied using hourly NASA POWER data for January 2025 to January 2026 and actual residential electricity bill data from the same period. The irradiation dataset was cleaned and processed using Python, then analyzed in SPSS through descriptive statistics, assumption testing, correlation and simple linear regression. The results indicate that NASA POWER data can provide a reliable basis for estimating rooftop photovoltaic performance and that solar irradiation has a strong relationship with DC output. The simulation further shows that rooftop photovoltaic deployment can significantly reduce electricity imported from the PLN grid and lower household electricity costs under selected capacity scenarios. These findings support the use of integrated data driven methods for rooftop photovoltaic planning in urban residential settings.

Abstract

The problems that exist in Indonesia, which require the state to attract foreign investment, are also caused by other factors, particularly the benefits or profits received by the country. The form of research used in this thesis is normative juridical research, which refers to legal norms contained in laws and regulations. This study employs a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The data in this study were analyzed qualitatively, meaning that the research method refers to legal norms contained in statutory regulations. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between business law and immigration law in relation to foreign investment is regulated under Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation. Philosophically, and in the spirit of globalization, the use of foreign workers in developing countries is intended to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology. This is in line with the continuity of business and investment in Indonesia. The issuance of Limited-Stay Visas for foreign investment, from the perspective of business law, constitutes a form of state sovereignty within a rule-of-law state, which has full authority to determine and regulate the limits for foreigners residing in a country. Restrictions on residence permits are intended to protect national interests in social, cultural, economic, employment, security, and public order aspects.

Abstract

Flight delays represent a critical challenge in air transportation, affecting passenger satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes. This study develops predictive models for flight delay duration at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM) networks integrated with a Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) interpretability method. The research utilized 242,638 flight observations spanning January 2023 to October 2025, incorporating flight operational and meteorological variables. The dataset was partitioned into training (62.35%), validation (9.01%), and testing (28.64%) subsets. After Min-Max normalization and preprocessing, models were designed with varying hyperparameters through grid search optimization. Performance evaluation employed Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). Results demonstrated that LSTM with two hidden layers and sixteen neurons achieved superior performance, with an MAE of 15.657 minutes and an RMSE of 20.859 minutes on test data, slightly outperforming BiLSTM (MAE of 16.705 minutes and RMSE of 21.709 minutes), establishing LSTM as the optimal model. SHAP interpretation revealed that operational factors, particularly the association with major airports and routes (Jakarta and Surabaya), flight type, and airline, represent the dominant predictors of delays, whereas meteorological factors such as wind speed and temporal factors such as scheduling time have a relatively minor effect. Although the model's predictive power remains limited, this research provides valuable interpretability insights into delay determinants, enabling data-driven decision-making for airport management and airlines to enhance punctuality and operational efficiency.

Abstract

The integration of photovoltaic (PV) generation into power systems presents operational challenges due to the temporal mismatch between daytime solar production and nighttime peak demand. This issue is particularly critical in tropical systems with limited local generation flexibility, such as Guluk-Guluk, Madura, where a PV–battery energy storage system (PV-BESS) is planned to support nighttime peak load demand. This study aimed to determine the optimal PV-BESS capacity configuration under a PV-only charging scheme, in which the battery is charged solely by PV generation without grid support. A 25-year time-series simulation based on historical solar resource data was integrated with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to minimize the Net Present Cost (NPC) while penalizing unmet energy demand. Battery degradation was modeled using calendar and cycle aging, and the impact of Power Conversion System (PCS) charging capacity was evaluated through sensitivity analysis and re-optimization. The baseline optimal configuration consisted of 75.36 MWp of PV capacity and 570.98 MWh of initial BESS capacity with a 50 MW PCS, achieving 83.85% reliability and an NPC of USD 269.18 million. The results indicated that battery aging was not the dominant factor limiting system reliability; instead, daily solar variability and PCS charging constraints had stronger impacts. Increasing PCS capacity from 50 MW to approximately 56 MW significantly improved reliability, while further increases yielded diminishing returns as the system transitioned from power-limited to energy-limited operation. These findings emphasize the importance of integrated PV, BESS, and PCS planning for renewable peaker applications in tropical power systems.

Abstract

A long standing English language school in Indonesia called ITTR English Course has seen flat profits even though student numbers have remained steady, which suggests there are deep problems with the quality of its services. The goal of this research is to assess current service standards and develop strategic improvements that will boost student satisfaction, increase retention, and lift the institution's financial performance. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods approach, this research combined quantitative SERVQUAL surveys analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with qualitative NVivo analysis to pinpoint service issues. Problems were diagnosed using Fishbone and Current Reality Tree (CRT) methods, ranked through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and addressed by developing action strategies with the House of Quality (HOQ) and the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) framework. Based on the study, student satisfaction is most heavily influenced by the reliability and assurance aspects of service quality. Satisfied students then become loyal customers, which directly supports the institution's bottom line. The author recommends focusing on teacher training, classroom facilities, and communication speed, alongside implementing scheduled feedback systems. In conclusion, managing service quality effectively is demonstrated to be the best way to secure ongoing student fulfillment, retention, and profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy on readiness for digital change, both directly and indirectly through resistance to change as a mediating variable, among Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) at the Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BPSDM) of the Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Kemkomdigi). The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory, cross-sectional design. Data were collected through a 5-point Likert-scale online questionnaire administered to 282 ASN respondents from BPSDM, selected using a proportional quota sampling technique from a population of 945 ASN across 15 work units. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results showed that digital literacy had a positive and significant effect on readiness for digital change (β = 0.226; p = 0.001), digital literacy had a negative and significant effect on resistance to change (β = −0.605; p < 0.001), and resistance to change had a negative and significant effect on readiness for digital change (β = −0.568; p < 0.001). In addition, resistance to change was found to partially mediate the relationship between digital literacy and readiness for digital change, with an indirect effect (β = 0.344) greater than the direct effect. These findings confirm that enhancing ASN readiness for digital change depends not only on strengthening digital competencies but also on organizational efforts to manage employees' psychological resistance to change.
