Abstract

The legal, sociological, and practical aspects of stopping human trafficking and modern slavery in Indonesia are examined in this study. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining in-depth interviews with key informants from several sectors participating in anti-trafficking operations with normative analysis. The interviews provide rich insights from legal experts, law enforcement authorities, government representatives, NGOs, judicial staff, journalists, international organizations, and social workers; the normative analysis highlights the advantages and disadvantages of Indonesia's legal system. The results highlight difficulties such as a lack of resources, problems with coordination, and socioeconomic variables that increase susceptibility. Regular evaluations of the legal framework, improved coordination, victim-centric strategies, responsible media coverage, and international cooperation are among the recommendations. This study adds to the larger conversation about preventing human trafficking by providing a thorough grasp of the complex issues and viable solutions in the Indonesian setting.

Abstract

This research delves into the multifaceted landscape of intellectual property protection within the Indonesian creative industries. Through qualitative analysis, interviews with 10 key informants elucidated the challenges faced by businesses, including rampant piracy, inadequacies in legal frameworks, and enforcement issues. Businesses responded with diverse legal strategies, encompassing copyright protection, trademark registration, industry collaboration, and technological solutions. Case studies provided tangible examples, showcasing the effectiveness and challenges of these strategies. Recommendations for legislative reforms, strengthened enforcement mechanisms, industry collaboration, and technological innovation are proposed. This research contributes valuable insights into the dynamic interplay between legal challenges and strategic responses in safeguarding intellectual property within the vibrant Indonesian creative industries.

Abstract

This study conducts a bibliometric evaluation of open access publishing in the realm of intellectual property rights (IPR), aiming to provide insights into the landscape, trends, and potential research directions within this domain. Utilizing data spanning from 1970 to 2024, encompassing 1000 papers with 9684 citations, the analysis employs network visualization, cluster analysis, and trend examination techniques. The results highlight the collaborative nature of scholarly endeavors in IPR, with key themes emerging around the economic implications of IPR, its intersection with global trade, biotechnology, and human rights. These findings offer valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, facilitating evidence-based decision-making and promoting transparency and accessibility in the dissemination of IPR-related knowledge.

Abstract

Cyberbullying, also known as cyberbullying, is any form of violence experienced by a child or adolescent and perpetrated by peers their age through the internet or cyberspace. If a child or teenager is teased, insulted, bullied, or humiliated by another child or youth through the medium of the internet, digital technology, or cell phones, this is also known as cyber bullying. This research uses a literature study approach to explore it, this approach involves the disclosure of a comprehensive literature to sources relevant to cyberbullying cases in the United States. In achieving the research objectives, the main focus will also be given to factors affecting cyberbullying and protection efforts from cyberbullying as well as the United States' policy in handling cyberbullying cases among adolescents. There are several factors that can influence the occurrence of cyberbullying in adolescents. Some of these include individual factors including experience of violence, perception, gander, age, psychological control, and additive use. Family factors include parenting, family support, and parental stress. The friend factor is support. The school factor is the type of school. The last factor is the use of the internet in the form of intensity and competence of ethical media. There are also cyberbullying protection measures for adolescents and U.S. policies in handling cyberbullying cases among adolescents. Cyberbullying is an increasing concern affecting young people around the world, particularly in the United States. To address this issue, it is important to develop comprehensive strategies and support systems that address the root causes of cyberbullying and encourage positive social interactions.

Abstract

This article explains the foreign policy of the Republic of the United States in the Asia Pacific region which is studied through analysis of epistemological, ontological and axiological aspects. This article tries to look at the reasons for the United States changing the focus of its foreign policy from the Middle East to the Asia Pacific Region. In the regional dynamics that occur, China plays an important role along with increasing its national capabilities. In this regard, this article will discuss and provide an explanation of the foreign policy created by America, namely the Asian Pivot, using an analytical framework based on the Balance of Threat theory with the application of the United States' offshore balancing strategy to the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, this article analyzes funnel causality, namely the sources that form the basis of United States policy making in the Asia Pacific. The United States is a very unique country in terms of its political system both at home and abroad, its foreign policy is able to influence the world political landscape. This research is qualitative in nature using a textual study method by analyzing secondary data from various related literature. The results of the literature study show that changes in the focus of American foreign policy were due to factorsChina's increasing national capabilities are seen as a challenge to United States national interests.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of Zakat law in Indonesia and its implications for empowering the Islamic community's economy. Zakat, an obligatory form of almsgiving in Islam, holds significant importance in Islamic finance and social welfare systems. The study utilizes qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, and content analysis, to explore the challenges and opportunities in implementing Zakat law and its impact on economic empowerment. Key findings highlight the importance of governance, transparency, and accountability in Zakat administration, as well as the role of Zakat in poverty alleviation, livelihood enhancement, and community development. The study provides actionable recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of Zakat administration and promoting sustainable economic development within the Islamic framework in Indonesia.

Abstract

This bibliometric study provides an in-depth analysis of the research landscape in children's rights over the past three decades, utilizing a variety of visualization tools to map out author collaborations, thematic clusters, research trends, and potential areas for future exploration. Through the analysis of key publication databases, this paper identifies robust networks of collaboration among authors and highlights predominant thematic areas such as child protection, legal frameworks, and the impacts of global health policies on children. The temporal analysis reveals a noticeable shift in research focus, from traditional protection measures to more contemporary issues such as digital safety and global policy initiatives. Furthermore, areas with less research concentration, including the integration of sports in rights promotion and the implications of digital advancements on children, are identified as potential opportunities for future studies. This study underscores the dynamic nature of children's rights research and its evolution in response to both enduring and emerging challenges affecting children globally.

Abstract

This research examines the ethical and legal implications of deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems in law enforcement, with a particular focus on potential human rights violations in Indonesia. Utilizing a normative analysis approach, the study evaluates existing ethical frameworks, legal principles, and human rights standards to assess the governance and implications of AI-driven policing. Key findings indicate significant ethical concerns, including bias, discrimination, lack of transparency, and privacy violations. The legal analysis reveals gaps in Indonesia’s regulatory framework, highlighting the need for specific legislation to address AI’s complexities. Human rights implications, such as threats to privacy, freedom of expression, and equality, are critically analyzed. Comparative case studies from other jurisdictions provide empirical insights and underscore the importance of robust ethical and legal frameworks. The research proposes several recommendations, including the establishment of clear ethical guidelines, strengthening legal frameworks, enhancing transparency and accountability, promoting public engagement, and conducting regular impact assessments to ensure responsible AI governance in law enforcement. This study aims to contribute to the development of ethical AI governance frameworks and inform policy recommendations for responsible AI deployment in law enforcement practices.

Abstract

General Election (Election) Young generation or millennials. General elections are a process to achieve integrity and legal authority which is carried out with the participation of candidates as well as the control process of the agency or field of supervision, to obtain legality by the public which is approved by the established law. Become an underlying part of democratic instruments. The general election indicator is community involvement and participation. This is with the involvement of young people or the millennial generation. The participation or involvement of young people or the millennial generation in general elections is very crucial because, apart from being large in number, these young people are also one of the nation's next generations. However, in terms of participation efforts and indications of what possibilities could have an impact on an outcome, it will certainly be influenced by the participation or involvement of young people. It needs to be identified so that in the future it can help their efforts regarding ways or procedures to take part in a correct election. This research was conducted in Jekan Raya Village, Palangkaraya City. The research findings illustrate that social media has a big influence on the millennial generation, especially in recognizing the profiles of candidates running for office.
