The term community service refers to activities that utilize relevant science and technology to advance the welfare of the community and educate the nations life. This journal publishes articles with topics such as theoretical innovations or methods or strategies for implementing community service activities, community service management innovations, university-community partnership strengthening programs, as well as other topics related to the impact and best practices in the implementation of community service to society. Praxis accepts article submissions from all over the world. All accepted articles will be published for payment of an article processing fee, and will be available free of charge to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage. Praxis accepts article manuscripts with the following types Research Article: contains a quantitative, qualitative, or combination method study that shows the impact of community service projects on local communities, students, lecturers, or institutions. Reflective Essays contain sharp reflections on current issues or ideas related to community service based on literature. Projects with Prospects contains a description of the early stages of a community service project with an initial indication of its impact long-term evaluation plan a plan for how the project will remain sustainable; and best practices for readers to emulate. Book Reviews contains reviews of books related to community service which are more than just content descriptions, in order to analyze and extract their implications for theory and practice.

Abstract

Gymnastics is physical exercise that is deliberately and planned, arranged systematically to shape and develop the body in harmony. This activity has become a popular sport among the public. Maintaining physical health is very important for the entire community, therefore we carry out a real work program, namely training assistance for gymnastics instructors. The aim of the gymnastics instructor training assistance activity every Sunday morning which is held by PLB students at Jorong Guguak Gadang Nagari Padang Magek every Sunday morning, is so that children can become gymnastics instructors at their school. This research method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the research involves the participation of children and PLB students. The conclusion from the results of this service is the implementation of gymnastics instructor training and the achievement of mastery and teaching of gymnastics for children in Padang Magek.

Abstract

Effective and efficient teacher data management is an important aspect in supporting education management at Madrasah Aliyah (MA). In this context, MA Al-Falah Palembang faces challenges in managing teacher data manually which often causes delays, data errors, and less than optimal data-based decision making. Therefore, training on the application of educational information systems was held as a solution to increase the efficiency and accuracy of teacher data management. The aim of this training is to provide knowledge and skills to administrative staff and education personnel at MA Al-Falah in using technology-based educational information systems for processing teacher data. The methods used include presentations, live demonstrations, and practical sessions with information systems that have been designed according to needs. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' understanding and ability to operate educational information systems. Apart from that, the information system implemented has been proven to be able to simplify the process of processing teacher data, such as managing personal data, teaching schedules and performance assessments. As a result, school management can focus more on improving the overall quality of education. With this training, it is hoped that MA Al-Falah Palembang can continue to optimize the use of technology in education management, so as to achieve work efficiency and improve the quality of service to teachers and students.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dengan tema "Positive Discipline: Mendidik Anak Tanpa Kekerasan" dilatarbelakangi oleh masih tingginya kasus kekerasan dalam pengasuhan anak di lingkungan keluarga. Banyak orang tua yang masih menganggap hukuman fisik sebagai cara efektif untuk mendisiplinkan anak, padahal hal ini dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan anak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi, meningkatkan pemahaman serta menumbuhkan kesadaran orang tua mengenai dampak negatif kekerasan dalam mendisiplinkan anak dan memberikan alternatif disiplin positif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi kepada 30 orang wali murid di TK Hidayatullah Jambi dengan menggunakan metode pendidikan masyarakat. Materi sosialisasi meliputi konsep dasar disiplin positif, dampak negatif hukuman fisik, alternatif pendisiplinan yang lebih mendidik, serta tips komunikasi efektif dengan anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, yang tercermin dalam keaktifan mereka selama sesi diskusi dan pemahaman yang meningkat terkait pentingnya mendidik anak dengan kasih sayang. Program ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan perubahan pola pengasuhan menjadi lebih positif, mendukung perkembangan fisik, mental, dan emosional anak, serta membangun generasi masa depan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The problem of lack of access to education and quality of education for children at the An-Nahl Alfarizqi Barkah Foundation, Desa Leuweung Kolot, is a significant challenge. This is influenced by parents' low level of education and a less supportive environment. Community service activities through the Sustainable Management Capstone program with a direct instructional method, which is carried out through discussion and practice, aim to build strong, disciplined, and adaptive characters to create an environment that supports sustainable character education. Learning is focused on seven main programs, namely Environment, English, Outbound, Agriculture, Mathematics, and Pancasila and Citizenship Education which are guided by field supervisors. Overall, the results of community service activities through the Sustainable Management Capstone program have added to the provision of skills and values ​​that are relevant to the education of children at the An-Nahl Alfarizqi Barkah Foundation.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya asupan gizi dalam waktu yang cukup lama. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan stunting adalah kurangnya asupan gizi pada bayi maupun pada ibu balita. Salah satu upaya untuk penanganan dan mencegah stunting adalah dengan cara Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) dengan memanfaatkan tanaman yang tumbuh di sekitar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai stunting dan pemberian makanan tambahan melalui olahan daun kelor seperti nugget. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan tentang pencegahan stunting dan pemanfaatan daun kelor sebagai olahan makanan yang berkhasiat. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai stunting dan pemberian makanan tambahan berbahan dasar daun kelor sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

The era of digitalization makes the use of digital financial applications contribute to the development of MSME businesses, especially from a financial aspect. MSME activists can actually use advances in digital financial technology to finance and strengthen business capital. However, the lack of digital financial literacy makes it difficult for MSME activists, especially digital ones, to use digital financial services properly, so that many are exposed to illegal online loans. In community service in the Tembong Village, Serang City which was held on 5th March 2023, assistance was provided on the importance of digital financial literacy for digital-based MSME activists. From the results of this activity it is known that MSME activists still have low understanding regarding digital financial literacy. This makes it difficult for some digital MSME activists to develop and worsens business performance. The success of this activity can be seen from digital MSME activists who have utilized various digital financial applications to increase working capital through digital financial financing patterns. MSME activists can also get to know digital financial governance, so they can carry out digital transactions as an effort to strengthen the financial aspects and digital business ecosystem.

Abstract

The celebration of independence day is a reflection of the people's gratitude for independence. In practice, the form of celebration is often injured by activities that actually tarnish the value of independence itself. Sasak Panjang village, Tajurhalang sub-district, Bogor is one of the villages that has a fairly large area, and is inhabited by residents who come from various different regions in Indonesia. The diversity of backgrounds of the residents in this village of course needs to be fostered and maintained a sense of togetherness. In fact, we still hear a lot of negative news about the occurrence of brawls between regions, the entrenchment of one ethnic group from a certain area feeling superior to other regions, the control of territory or land by a certain regional stronghold, etc. One of the anticipatory steps taken by the Sasak Panjang village government is organizing a carnival celebration, because it contains meaning, significance and important values ​​in uniting the nation and developing the level of creativity by involving all ages of the community and students who are carrying out Real Work Lectures.

Abstract

This community service aims to equip elementary school-aged children dealing with the limited Face-to-Face Learning (FFL) of the covid-19 pandemic and provide knowledge related to clean and healthy living behavior. This activity used a demonstration method in which the facilitator team provided instructions and practices to participants maintaining personal hygiene in facing limited Face-to-Face Learning (FFL). The result of this community service is that participants are able to understand the things which must be prepared in facing limited face-to-face learning in each school specifically maintaining clean and healthy living behavior. Abstract

The target of the solid soap workshop community empowerment is the Fatayat NU in Bogor City. The needs of the actors of change (members of Fatayat NU Bogor City) in the form of normative needs can be met by the target community (Fatayat NU Bogor City) with the efforts of the target community to seek various services for their members through solid soap workshops is active involvement in fulfilling basic needs household. The solid soap workshop is tailored to the needs of the community who use soap for their daily needs. Solid soap workshops use materials and tools that are cheap and easy to find in households, namely: cooking oil, caustic soda, fragrance, scales and soap molds. Workshop participants were representatives of 6 PAC Fatayat NU Bogor City. The workshop was held at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia (Unusia). The resource persons came from lecturers from the Unusia Agro-Industry Technology Study Program assisted by 2 students. The method used in carrying out the service was counseling and practice on how to make solid soap. The workshop participants will receive a module on how to make soap, training on making soap and soap made by each participant. After the workshop is finished, an evaluation will be carried out by distributing questionnaires to the workshop participants to find out how far the effectiveness of the workshop is and the level of satisfaction of the participants in the soap making workshop. evaluation through a questionnaire obtained the following results: (1) 92.3% of participants could easily accept and understand the solid soap workshop material; (2) 76.9% of participants stated that the resource person mastered the workshop material well; and (3) 69.2% of participants stated that the training material n delivered in order and clearly systematically. From the questionnaire it was also known that the workshop participants hoped that there would be other empowerment workshops that would support the economic independence of the participants. In general, the hope of this empowerment is to fulfill basic household needs that can be fulfilled on their own in a sustainable manner so as to foster economic independence and improve people's welfare.

Abstract

Kontribusi sosial merupakan rangkaian akhir kegiatan Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka 2 (PMM2). Kegiatan kontribusi sosial dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2023 di Panti Asuhan Al-Ikhwan Gowa, Makasar, Sulawesi Tengah. Adapun kegiatan kontribusi sosial yang dilakukan ialah berupaa penyerahan sembako dan bermain games untuk meningkatkan motivasi hidup anak-anak panti. Kegiatan kontribusi sosial bermanfaat untuk anak-anak panti dalam membangun motivasi hidup dan memberikan pelajaran tentang nilai-nilai sosial.
