Abstract

This community service initiative was carried out with MSMEs in Batu Kumbung Village, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. These MSMEs possess significant potential for development into a sustainable, fisheries-based alternative economic source. A key commodity is the catfish, which is widely recognised by the public and boasts high nutritional value. In West Lombok, the Batu Kumbung Village MSMEs focus on processing fishery products into items such as shredded fish (*abon*) and chilli sauce (*sambal*). Additionally, a biofloc pond system managed by the Batu Kumbung Fish Seed Centre (BBI) is utilised for catfish farming. However, the harvest from these ponds has traditionally been sold fresh without further processing, meaning the potential value-added benefits have not been fully realised. As part of this community service project, a team of lecturers from STIE AMM collaborated with the Batu Kumbung Village MSMEs to develop a new processed product: shredded catfish. The initiative included educational sessions and hands-on training in producing shredded catfish, aiming to diversify the MSMEs' product offerings. The project successfully enhanced knowledge and skills regarding catfish processing, which is expected to broaden the product range and boost the competitiveness of the Batu Kumbung Village MSMEs.

Abstract

This community service program is a follow-up to a previous mentoring activity on product development and marketing strategy for a mangosteen coffee MSME in Lombok. While the previous stage focused on the market side of the business, this stage addresses the internal side, namely, business financial management and the strengthening of raw material partnerships with local farmers. The methods used include a community socialisation session involving residents and coffee farmers, on-site business consultations, and intensive mentoring sessions covering the separation of business and household finances, simple bookkeeping, cost of production calculation, pricing, and raw material inventory management. The results show that the partner can record transactions consistently, understand the cost structure of each product variant, set prices based on cost calculation, and build a clearer supply arrangement with local farmers. These improvements complement the marketing capacity built in the previous stage and strengthen the overall sustainability of the partner's business.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the digital era presents both opportunities and significant challenges for village-level economies. Masbagik Utara Baru Village in East Lombok Regency possesses promising potential for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); however, the utilisation of digital technology for operational development and business marketing remains relatively limited. This community service initiative—conducted through a session on "Productive and Creative Technopreneurship"—aims to enhance the understanding, motivation, and practical skills of residents and business owners regarding the adoption of digital technology. The implementation process comprised three stages: (1) preparation and needs analysis; (2) execution, involving material presentations, interactive workshops, and simulations of digital marketing and app-based financial record-keeping; and (3) impact evaluation. The results indicate an 85% increase in participants' understanding of technopreneurship concepts, the creation of promotional content, and the optimisation of social media and e-commerce platforms. The initiative fostered a collective awareness regarding the transition from traditional business models to productive, creative, and sustainable technology-based entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Pest control in cocoa cultivation still relies heavily on chemical pesticides, which may negatively affect the environment. This community service activity aimed to improve farmers’ knowledge and skills in producing and utilizing botanical pesticides as an alternative pest control method. The activity was conducted in Buwun Sejati Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency through counseling, training, and hands-on practice using cloves, garlic, and galangal. The results showed improved farmers’ knowledge and skills in sustainable pest management. This activity also supports SDGs 2 (Zero Hunger), SDGs 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDGs 15 (Life on Land) through the implementation of more environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices.
