Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe and find out about: 1) instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul Izza mosque teenagers, 2) strategies for instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul Izza mosque teenagers, 3) methods of instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul mosque teenagers Izza. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research used is phenomenology. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Then the data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display/data presentation and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the technique for checking the validity of the researcher's data uses: triangulation and member check. The results of this research show that: 1) instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul Izza mosque teenagers are a) honest values, b) trustworthy values, c) patient values, d) sincere values, e) polite values, f) responsible values answer, g) tolerance value. 2) strategy for instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul Izza mosque teenagers is a) strategy for choosing the right time, b) strategy for speaking according to what is being done, c) strategy for taming the heart, d) strategy for preparing facilities and infrastructure. 3) the method of instilling religious character education values ​​in Baitul Izza mosque teenagers is a) the personal approach method, b) the lecture method, c) the example method, d) the habituation method, e) the Advice method.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the factors that contribute to a lack of self-confidence in English speaking among students. It also sought to present possible strategies to help students overcome this lack of self-confidence. The study used a qualitative research approach and was conducted at SDN Singosari. The participants were the English teacher and fifth-grade students at SDN Singosari during the 2023/2024 academic year. Data was collected through observations and interviews. The data analysis involved three steps: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings revealed that the key factors leading to a lack of self-confidence in speaking English were anxiety, shyness, fear of making mistakes, and insufficient vocabulary. To address these issues, the study proposed several potential strategies, including lowering students' anxiety in the classroom, improving their vocabulary, boosting their self-confidence, and facilitating group discussions.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of short video presentations on children's listening skills. Early childhood is a critical period for brain and language development. With the rise of digital technology, short videos from platforms like YouTube and TikTok have become prominent in children's lives. This research aimed to determine the effect of watching short videos on listening skills among students at UPT Satuan Pendidikan SDN Pusungmalang I in Pasuruan Regency. A quantitative approach was used, involving 28 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected via observations, questionnaires, literature study, and internet research, and analyzed using normality, linearity, heteroscedasticity tests, and simple linear regression analysis. Results indicated that short videos significantly enhance children's listening abilities, including pronunciation, comprehension, and accuracy. However, challenges such as limited internet access and technical issues were noted. The study concludes that short videos positively influence listening skills and recommends integrating them into educational programs to optimize learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low problem-solving ability of students. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems related to integer operations in the fourth-grade class at SDN 2 Klaling. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. fourth-grade teachers at SDN 2 Klaling, and secondary data in the form of books, journals, documentation, and references about students' problems in the integer operations material. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique in this study uses the interactive data analysis model of Miles & Huberman, which explains that interactive data analysis techniques consist of three components: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that students still have difficulty understanding the meaning of symbols and parentheses when working on integer division problems. Students also experience difficulties in operating numbers with negative signs in the material on subtraction and addition of integers. The difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts are due to both internal and external factors.

Abstract

Learning activities in classes with diverse students, where there are students with special needs, challenge teachers to pay more attention and fulfill all students, and develop learning through internalizing the values ​​of Islamic Religious Education learning between training students in developing attitudes since elementary school with elements of activities. in class with a commitment to nationality, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodating to local culture. Teachers get used to stimulating students by showing honest, disciplined, responsible, caring, mutual cooperation, cooperation, tolerance, peace, polite, responsive and proactive behavior as part of the solution to various problems in interacting effectively with the social and natural environment and placing self as a reflection of the nation in various world relationships.

Abstract

The Comparing to other states, quality of education in Indonesia including Islamic education has not shown significant progress. It can be verified from the report of PERC, World Bank, and data from UNDP. It is a regret to find the decrease of our education quality. It occurs because supervision of education is done in conventional manner, rigid, and formality limited. Moreover, it may also because instructional activities have not been optimal yet and management of education institution which is less professional. In order to solve the problem, some solutions are offered. One of them is that the implementation of supervision has to be done optimally, procedurally, and professionally. In this case, supervision takes its role as, (1) academic supervision: teacher partner, innovator, and pioneer, instructional and education consultant, teachers counselor, and motivator, (2) managerial supervision: concept drafter, programmer, composer, reporter, and builder. Furthermore, manager (headmaster) has to be able to concentrate and supervise the effort to have a good input through very good process to produce excellent output: moderate input through excellent process produces very good output; and the lower input through a very excellent process resulting better output.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of social media application usage intensity and duration of social media activities on the academic performance of students at Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi Medan. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, this study involved 99 randomly selected students as samples. Data was collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the intensity of social media use has a significant negative effect on academic performance, with a t-count value of -8.062, which is greater than the t-table (1.66) and a significance of 0.000. Conversely, the duration of social media activities has a significant positive effect on academic performance, with a t-count value of 7.342, which is greater than the t-table (1.66) and a significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, both variables also show a significant influence on students' academic performance, with an F-count value of 54.505, which is far greater than the F-table value (3.09) and a significance of 0.000. These findings indicate the importance of a balanced approach to social media use, with educational institutions needing to encourage constructive and academically-oriented social media use.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of prosocial behavior on the psychological well-being of students. The research was conducted on 60 active students at University X. The measuring tool used in this research used a prosocial behavior scale which refers to aspects of prosocial behavior and psychological well-being. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis. Regression coefficients, significance values ​​will be evaluated to understand the extent to which prosocial behavior variables influence psychological well-being variables. The research analysis results show a p-value of >.001, which is smaller than the alpha value of 0,05, indicating a significant influence of prosocial behavior on psychological well-being. The R Square result indicates that the prosocial behavior variable influences the psychological well-being variable by 20,7%. And there is no significant difference between males and females in levels of prosocial behavior and psychological well-being.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and obtain information about the implementation of the murāja’ah method in strengthening Qur’an memorization in the Qur’an reading and writing program for class IV C students at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2023-2024 academic year and to find out the implications of the murāja’ah method in strengthening Qur’an memorization an in the Qur’an reading and writing program for class IV C students at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2023-2024 academic year. The results of the research concluded that the murāja’ah method in the Qur’an reading and writing program for class IV C students at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2023-2024 academic year was carried out during literacy hours. Memorizing the Qur’an is carried out once a week, namely on Tuesdays. Every Tuesday, students are required to memorize at least one verse. the implications of the murāja’ah method in strengthening Qur’an memorization an in the Qur’an reading and writing program for class IV C students at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2023-2024 academic year is that student Qur’an memorization becomes stronger and more maintained. This murāja’ah method can also improve students memorization of the Qur’an. So that there are several students whose memorization has exceeded the target set by the BTQ teacher.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there was a problem that some of the class V students at Mensemat State Elementary School 02 tended to be inactive, learning was monotonous so that students felt disinterested, bored and sleepy when studying. Students do not like mathematics lessons, because they think that learning mathematics is difficult and scary for students, giving rise to a lazy attitude towards learning. By implementing this cardboard media, students are encouraged to be actively involved and increase understanding and make students enthusiastic in receiving learning material. The aim of this research is to determine the planning, implementation and implications of the fifth grade teacher in using cardboard media. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. The results of the research are planning, preparing a learning implementation plan (RPP), preparing teaching aids or media, paying attention to students' strengths and weaknesses. Implementation, conveying learning objectives, connecting the material that has been studied with the material that will be delivered, utilizing media and learning resources, conveying the steps and tasks that must be completed, asking several questions, drawing conclusions and giving a post-test. And the implications of media can attract students' attention, learning is more interactive, time is more efficient, the learning process can take place anytime and anywhere, and students' positive attitudes towards learning material and the learning process can be improved.
