Abstract

According to the Regulation of the Minister of Agrarian Af airs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2022, Green Open Space (RTH) is defined as areas that function for plant growth, considering ecological aspects, water absorption, economic factors, socio-cultural elements, and aesthetics. In Balikpapan, a rapidly growing city, RTH plays a crucial role in addressing urban environmental challenges. The availability of RTH in Balikpapan is only about 12.92% of the city’s total area, far below the minimum target of 30% according to Law Number 26 of 2007. Additionally, regulations regarding the provision of RTH have not specified priority locations. Therefore, a thorough analysis is necessary to identify appropriate RTH locations. Utilizing the Indonesian Blue-Green Index (IHBI), this study employs both quantitative and descriptive analyses to determine the RTH needs. The analysis reveals an area of 825.7 hectares with a high demand for RTH

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the gap between the number of available houses and the number needed by the community, often measured through the housing backlog. The housing backlog includes ownership backlog, which is the percentage of households that own their own homes; and occupancy backlog, which is the ideal condition where one house is occupied by one family. With the rapid population growth and urbanization in Indonesia, estimating housing needs becomes crucial to ensure the availability of adequate and decent housing for all segments of society. This research examines approaches that can be used to apply the Life Cycle Matrix (LCM), first introduced in Japan in the 1980s, to estimate housing needs based on changes in household life cycles, such as changes in household size and the age of the household head. The research method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and analytical methods. The data used are secondary data, namely the Population Census Results from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS, formerly known as the Central Bureau of Statistics). The analysis stages include data availability verification and data cleaning. Then, housing backlog calculations are carried out, as well as the development of approaches that can be developed for Estimating Housing Needs for the Indonesian Community through the application of the Life Cycle Matrix.

Abstract

This study analyzes changes in land surface temperature (LST) in Pati Regency between 2017 and 2024 using Landsat 8 satellite data. The analysis results show a significant increase in surface temperature over the period, with the lowest temperature rising from 19°C to 21°C and the highest temperature rising from 39°C to 42°C. The temperature increase mainly occurred in the foothills of Mount Muria and the southern part of Pati Regency, likely influenced by land use changes and dry season conditions. Additionally, the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis indicates a decrease in vegetation density in most areas, contributing to the rise in surface temperature. These findings provide crucial insights for policymakers in formulating sustainable spatial planning strategies in Pati Regency.

Abstract

Livability is an important concept in urban planning that encompasses various aspects, such as housing quality, access to infrastructure, and social and environmental comfort. In Indonesia, the issue of adequate housing remains a challenge, especially in major cities like DKI Jakarta, which faces rapid population growth and limited land availability. To address this issue, the government has implemented various settlement revitalization programs, one of which is the Kampung Deret Program, aimed at improving the quality of slum settlements through infrastructure upgrades and housing improvements. Kampung Deret Petogogan is one of the locations where this program has been implemented and has undergone various physical and social changes since its implementation. Although the program has had a positive physical impact, evaluations of livability often remain limited to objective indicators, such as building conditions and the availability of facilities. However, subjective indicators such as sense of community, sense of safety, and participation also play a crucial role in determining the quality of life in a settlement. Therefore, this study aims to examine the livability of Kampung Deret Petogogan more holistically by considering subjective indicators. Through this approach, it is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the program's effectiveness and the factors influencing the livability quality of the settlement area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the revitalization of Senaken Market on traders and visitors based on aspects of revitalization, including physical, management, economic, and social aspects. The revitalization of Senaken Market, which has been ongoing since 2022, is a response to various physical problems in the market, such as damage to market buildings due to fire, squalor, and disrupted circulation within the market. This study is a mixed-method research using a quantitative survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 visitors and 94 vendors. Analysis was conducted using the Likert scale scoring method to measure perceptions of the revitalization's impact, followed by a descriptive interpretation of the scoring results. The results of the study indicate that the impact of revitalization is generally perceived as positive, particularly in terms of physical aspects and some social aspects. However, in terms of economic and management aspects, several challenges remain, such as the uneven increase in vendors' income and the suboptimal empowerment of vendors by market managers.
