Abstract

Classification technique on remote sensing images is an effort taken to identify the class of each pixel based on the spectral characteristics of various channels. Traditional classifications such as Maximum Likelihood are based on statistical parameters such as standard deviation and mean, which have a probability model of each pixel in each class. While the object-based classification method, one of which is the Decision Trees, is based on rules for each class with mathematical functions. This study compares the Decision Trees and Maximum Likelihood algorithms for land cover classification in the Surabaya and Bangkalan areas using Landsat 8 data. This research begins with creating Regions of Interest (ROIs) and Rules on images with greater than and less than functions for Decision Trees. The ROIs test was carried out using the Separability Index and matching each class using the Confusion Matrix. The experimental results show that the accuracy value resulting from the Confusion Matrix calculation is 90.48%, with a Kappa Coefficient Value of 0.87. The Decision Trees method produces land cover nigher to the actual condition than the Maximum Likelihood method. The difference in the class distribution of the two ways is not significant. This study is limited because the validation uses manual interpretation results. Future research is expected to use the large-scale classification results from the relevant agencies to verify the classification results and use field data, larger samples of ROIs, and the use of high-resolution imagery in order to improve the classification results.

Abstract

The implementation of Geographic Information System (GIS)-based technology in urban spatial planning is increasingly important in supporting the management and proper decision-making. Effective spatial planning requires access to accurate and easily accessible spatial data. GeoNode is an open source platform for spatial data management and sharing, which can provide effective solutions in supporting digital-based spatial information systems. This study aims to develop and implement GeoNode as a supporting tool in spatial management in Balikpapan City. The methods used include spatial data collection, GeoNode infrastructure development, and integrating data from various sources. The results of the study indicate that GeoNode can improve efficiency in accessing, visualizing, and creating spatial data. GeoNode can be a reliable geoportal in providing real-time access to more inclusive spatial data. The application of GeoNode technology as a medium for sharing and disseminating spatial data can be a model for the development of spatial information systems in Balikpapan City.

Abstract

Globalisasi dan modernisasi telah menggeser gaya hidup masyarakat, termasuk dalam hal pemenuhan kebutuhan kesehatan. Masyarakat perkotaan, seperti di RT 61 Kelurahan Sepinggan Baru, Kecamatan Balikpapan Selatan, cenderung bergantung pada obat-obatan kimia buatan pabrik yang sering kali mahal dan memiliki efek samping. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) sebagai sumber daya kesehatan mandiri. Melalui sosialisasi, penanaman, dan penyerahan pengelolaan TOGA, masyarakat diajak untuk memanfaatkan lahan kosong di lingkungan mereka sebagai "apotek hidup." Program ini berhasil menanam 300 bibit TOGA dan membentuk kelompok pengelola yang bertanggung jawab atas keberlanjutan program. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dapat menjadi solusi berkelanjutan untuk mendukung kesehatan masyarakat berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Taman aktif sebagai bagian dari ruang terbuka hijau publik berperan penting dalam menunjang kualitas hidup masyarakat kota. Di Kecamatan Balikpapan Kota, keberadaan taman seperti Taman Bekapai, Monpera, dan Wiluyo Puspoyudo I dan II menunjukkan potensi tinggi sebagai ruang interaksi dan rekreasi, namun belum seluruhnya dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh masyarakat. Eksplorasi terhadap faktor-faktor penentu minat kunjungan dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis faktor eksploratori terhadap 23 indikator persepsi pengunjung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan empat kelompok faktor yang mempengaruhi ketertarikan masyarakat untuk mengunjungi taman aktif, yaitu 11 indikator faktor daya tarik utama, 1 Indikator faktor penunjang strategis, 9 Indikator faktor pendukung sekunder dan 2 indikator faktor potensi pendukung. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi antara kelengkapan fasilitas, kenyamanan ruang, dan kemudahan akses menjadi faktor krusial dalam membentuk ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap taman aktif. Penguatan faktor-faktor ini penting untuk mendukung fungsi taman sebagai ruang publik yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Wilayah DAS Ampal/Klandasan Besar adalah salah satu DAS perkotaan yang rentan terhadap bencana banjir akibat tekanan urbanisasi di Kota Balikpapan. Tercatat dalam 5 tahun terakhir (2019-2024) terdapat 68 titik banjir di DAS Ampal/Klandasan Besar. Tingginya frekuensi banjir di DAS Ampal/Klandasan Besar menjadi alasan pentingnya penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pemodelan atau prediksi bencana banjir di DAS Ampal/Klandasan Besar ke depannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemodelan hidraulik menggunakan aplikasi HEC-RAS dengan mengombinasikan simulasi aliran satu dimensi (1D) dan dua dimensi (2D). Input model adalah debit banjir rencana dari analisis hidrologi data curah hujan historis untuk kala ulang 2 hingga 100 tahun. Model kemudian divalidasi secara spasial menggunakan data historis titik banjir dari BPBD Kota Balikpapan dan data genangan dari citra satelit Sentinel-1 menggunakan Google Earth Engine. Hasil pemodelan 1D menunjukkan bahwa tanggul di bagian hulu setinggi 3,5 meter mulai terlampaui sejak kala ulang 2 tahun, dengan kedalaman aliran mencapai 4,15 meter. Bagian hilir mulai meluap pada kala ulang 5 tahun. Simulasi 2D secara spasial berhasil memetakan sebaran genangan dan mengidentifikasi empat titik kritis, termasuk Jl. Mufakat, Beller, Jl Penegak, dan Jl. Joko Tole. Pada skenario kala ulang 100 tahun, kedalaman genangan di titik-titik ini diproyeksikan mencapai 1,49 meter hingga 1,59 meter. Penelitian ini menyajikan sebuah model banjir dengan periode ulang dari tahun ke-2, ke-5, ke-10, ke-25, ke-50, dan ke-100.

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the gap between the number of available houses and the number needed by the community, often measured through the housing backlog. The housing backlog includes ownership backlog, which is the percentage of households that own their own homes; and occupancy backlog, which is the ideal condition where one house is occupied by one family. With the rapid population growth and urbanization in Indonesia, estimating housing needs becomes crucial to ensure the availability of adequate and decent housing for all segments of society. This research examines approaches that can be used to apply the Life Cycle Matrix (LCM), first introduced in Japan in the 1980s, to estimate housing needs based on changes in household life cycles, such as changes in household size and the age of the household head. The research method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and analytical methods. The data used are secondary data, namely the Population Census Results from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS, formerly known as the Central Bureau of Statistics). The analysis stages include data availability verification and data cleaning. Then, housing backlog calculations are carried out, as well as the development of approaches that can be developed for Estimating Housing Needs for the Indonesian Community through the application of the Life Cycle Matrix.

Abstract

Information technology has now become an important part of spatial data management for sustainable geopsasial information planning and development. This research aims to develop webgis routing applications using open source GIS technology capable of providing dynamic routing systems, completing effective routing, and displaying route search results. The system is built with Client-Server architecture design consisting of QGIS as GIS software, OSM as open spatial data provider, HTML, CSS, Javascript as basic programming language, Leaflet, Boostrap, and JQuery as mapping library, XAMPP as Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS as spatial database management system, Dijkstra as route engine library and PHP as REST API for Web Development Backend. The results showed that the routing WebGIS application was able to run well in finding routes based on the Point of Interest (POI) entered and be able to display the results of alternative routes when there were road closures. Based on the results of the study, the conclusion is the use of open source technology is able to produce a dynamic routing, can be modified, easy in maintenance, and many library options for web mapping.
