Abstract

Increasing population mobility has resulted in many elderly individuals being left alone. This study aims to: 1) analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of income, health access, environmental conditions, and the perception of menama braya activities on the well-being of the elderly; 2) analyze the role of the perception of menama braya activities in moderating the influence of environmental conditions on the well-being of the elderly. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative explanatory level. The population in this study consists of residents aged 60 and above in the Karangasem District, totaling 100 individuals. The sampling technique was conducted using accidental sampling combined with snowball sampling, with data collection methods including observation, structured interviews, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was performed using moderated regression analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) income, health access, environmental conditions, and the perception of menama braya activities simultaneously have a significant effect on the well-being of the elderly; 2) income, health access, environmental conditions, and the perception of equalizing activities partially have a significant positive effect on the well-being of the elderly; 3) the perception of equalizing activities moderates (weakens) the influence of environmental conditions on the well-being of the elderly.

Abstract

This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach. The sampling technique utilized non-probability total sampling, incorporating questionnaires, interviews, and observations with a population of 30 employees. Data analysis techniques in- clude tests for validity, reliability, multicollinearity, normality,  heteroscedasticity, t, F, multiple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results reveal that the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0.302, indicating that competence (X1) and discipline (X2) explain 30.2% of employee performance (Y), while the remaining 69.8% is influenced by other variables outside this research, such as work stress, work environment, and communication. Partial test results show that competency influences employee performance with a t-value of 3.253, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.99773, and a significance value  of 0.000, which  is less than 0.05. Discipline also influences employee performance with a t-value of 4.297, which is greater than the t-table value  of 1.99773, and a significance value  of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. The F-value of 15.259 is greater than the F-table value of 3.98, indicating that the competency (X1) and discipline (X2) variables simultaneously influence employee performance (Y) at PT Lautan Belawan Jaya.

Abstract

The management system for school operational assistance funds has evolved to in- corporate information and communication technology through the School Budget Activity Plan Application, commonly referred to as ARKAS. The Ministry of Ed- ucation, Culture, Research, and Technology developed the ARKAS innovation to facilitate the management of school operational assistance funds received by each educational institution. This study aims to understand why the effectiveness of using the School Budget Activity Plan application at Elementary School Number 1 Abi- ansemal has not yet been optimized. A qualitative method was employed to explore information about the phenomenon, supported by a descriptive approach, which en- abled the creation of relationships with informants, allowing the researcher to obtain new data. The data sources were obtained from interviews and documents related  to the research. Data collection was conducted through documentation, interviews, and observation at the research location. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the suboptimal effectiveness in using the School Budget Activity Plan application for managing school operational assistance funds at Elementary School Number 1 Abiansemal is due to insufficient dissemination by relevant authorities regarding the understanding of ARKAS and inadequate supporting infrastructure. However, improvements in several components are necessary to enhance the effective- ness of managing school operational assistance funds through ARKAS. This includes the need for training and socialization to improve understanding of ARKAS usage   in terms of planning, reporting, and realization, as well as creating synergy between school operators and district operators to ensure that the information conveyed is easily understood.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between corporate governance practices and the incidence of financial fraud among firms listed on the Kompas100 Index in Indonesia. Utilizing a panel dataset of 1,000 companies over the period from 2015 to 2023, the research employs a Fixed Effects Model (FEM) to analyze the impact of key governance variables, including board composition, ownership structure, and audit committee effectiveness, on fraud occurrence. The findings reveal that firms with a higher proportion of independent directors and more effective audit committees are less likely to engage in financial fraud. Conversely, concentrated ownership and higher leverage are associated with an increased likelihood of fraud. These results underscore the importance of robust governance mechanisms in preventing fraud, particularly in the context of Indonesia's evolving corporate landscape. The study also discusses the limitations of the research and offers policy recommendations to strengthen corporate governance frameworks, thereby enhancing the integrity of Indonesia's financial markets.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of work ethic, organizational commitment, and self-actualization on employee performance. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collection conducted through questionnaires distributed to company employees. The study sample comprises 40 employees, while validity and reliability tests were conducted with 30 respondents. The validity and reliability tests, along with the plot test involving 30 respondents, met the criteria, with values exceeding 0.05 and Cronbach's alpha above 0.60. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results of the simultaneous determination coefficient test (F-test) revealed an F-value of 11.178, which is higher than the F-table value of 2.87, with a significance value (Sig) of 0.000, indicating a positive and significant influence of work ethic, organizational commitment, and self-actualization on employee performance. Partially (t-test), work ethic and organizational commitment were found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while self-actualization did not show a significant impact. Additionally, the determination coefficient test results indicated that the influence of work ethic, organizational commitment, and self-actualization on employee performance accounts for only 43.9%, with the remaining 56.1% influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Public administration and financial management are crucial aspects of ensuring effective and efficient governance. This study aims to analyze the influence of transparency, accountability, human resource (HR) competence, technological innovation, and public participation on the financial performance of local governments in Bengkulu. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. Data were collected from 374 respondents, including civil servants, academics, and community members involved in local financial management. This study developed seven hypotheses to examine the relationships among the variables. The results indicate that transparency, accountability, and HR competence positively influence financial performance. Furthermore, technological innovation and public participation play significant roles in enhancing the effectiveness of local budget management. The findings also reveal that HR competence mediates the relationship between technological innovation and local government financial performance. The implications of this study provide insights for policymakers to strengthen local financial systems by improving transparency, accountability, and technology-driven innovation. Additionally, the findings serve as a reference for developing more participatory and sustainable public policies.
