Abstract

Among the most prevalent forms of digital entertainment are two-dimensional (2D) mobile games, which are engaging, readily accessible, and compatible with a wide range of devices. This study sought to design and implement a 2D obstacle-avoidance game using Unity. The development methodology employed is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), comprising six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The game, named Highwash Rush, was developed with various control features, including gyroscope sensors, swipe gestures, and directional buttons, and is equipped with a progressive scoring system and sound effects to enhance player experience. Black Box and Alpha Testing conducted on several Android devices demonstrated that the game operated stably, responded effectively, and adhered to the original design specifications. The findings suggest that implementing the MDLC method, excluding the distribution stage, in unity-based educational game development is effective for producing engaging and interactive multimedia applications suitable for practical use.

Abstract

This study examines the social and cultural relations inherent in the lives of the Semparu community in Central Lombok. The Semparu community is known for its strong kinship ties, traditions of mutual cooperation, and cultural practices that form the basis of social cohesion. This study aims to understand how local values function in maintaining solidarity, collective identity, and cultural sustainability amidst the currents of modernization. The method used is a qualitative approach with ethnographic types through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, and its validity was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. The research findings show that social relations within the Semparu community are built on trust, reciprocity, and solidarity, manifested in collective practices such as gawe (celebrations), community service, and mutual assistance among the community members. This inherent culture is evident in the traditional rituals and life cycle traditions maintained by traditional leaders, religious figures, and village elders as agents of value transmission. However, modernization and globalization present challenges, including shifts in cultural meaning, ambivalence among the younger generation, and the risk of weakening traditional regeneration. Nevertheless, the Semparu community demonstrates cultural resilience by adapting without losing its essence. This research concludes that the inherent social and cultural relations in Semparu are still maintained as social capital and collective identity, despite facing the pressures of modernization. Its sustainability depends on community-based preservation strategies involving community leaders, the younger generation, and cultural education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the moderating effect of organizational commitment on budget implementation and absorption in Regional Apparatus Organizations in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study population comprised all civil servants within the 30 Regional Apparatus Organizations in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Purposive sampling was employed to select participants based on their roles, knowledge, and experience. The sample criteria targeted five key leadership figures from each organization: the Head of Service, Secretary, Head of the Financial Subsection, Head of the Planning Subsection, and Treasurer. Consequently, a total sample of 150 respondents was obtained for this study. Data were collected using questionnaires from October to December 2024. The analysis was conducted using the SPSS 26 PROCESS macro (Version 4.3). The data analysis shows that budget implementation positively and significantly affects budget absorption. Organizational commitment significantly moderates budget implementation and absorption.

Abstract

Code-mixing has become a common practice among bilingual and multilingual speakers, especially in informal digital communication, such as WhatsApp. This study aims to identify the types of code-mixing used by English Language and Culture students at Universitas Widya Dharma Pontianak and understand the reasons behind their language choice. This research applied a descriptive qualitative method using documentation of WhatsApp group messages and interviews with selected students. The data were analyzed using Muysken’s (2000) theory to classify the types of code-mixing and Bhatia and Ritchie’s (2006) theory to examine the reasons for its usage. The study found 42 messages containing code-mixing, with 29 cases of insertion, 5 cases of alternation, and 8 cases of congruent lexicalization, showing insertion as the most dominant type. The reasons for using code-mixing included participant roles and relationships, situational factors, message-intrinsic factors, social attitudes, language dominance, and security. These findings highlight how bilingual students mix languages in digital communication to express themselves effectively, reflecting their bilingual environment and the influence of social media on language practices.

Abstract

The Indonesian Constitution faces various challenges, such as the potential for politicization, the court's dependence on state funding, and the public’s poor understanding of the constitutional judicial order. This study aims to provide a critical framework for studying Indonesian constitutionality from Tan Malaka's perspective. By using a philosophical-doctrinal approach combined with a critical textual analysis of Tan Malaka's key works, such as Madilog, Naar de Republiek Indonesia, and Gerpolek, as well as the Decision of the State Administrative Court Number 210/G/2021/PTUN.JKT, this study shows how its concepts of "100% independence" and "pseudo-independence" reveal the economic determinants of judicial and constitutional failures. The application of Madilog (Materialism, Dialectics, and Logic) of Tan Malaka as a methodological lens to deconstruct legal formalism and reveal the persistence of economic structures in state governance. True judicial independence requires institutional and budgetary autonomy for the Supreme and Constitutional Courts, which are protected from executive influence. Therefore, an interpretive canon based on Madilog is needed for Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, prioritizing substantive social justice over formalism.

Abstract

Workplace stress has become an inevitable phenomenon in modern organizations. As task complexity, competition, and performance expectations increase, many workers experience prolonged stress. This phenomenon significantly impacts employees' mental and physical health, reduces their concentration, and increases the risk of burnout. Organizational culture can be likened to the philosophy, ideology, values, beliefs, and norms that bind an organization. An organizational culture that has been internalized and accepted by each member can impact employee job satisfaction in the company. This systematic literature review is compiled based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis (PRISMA) from research related to the influence of stress and organizational culture on job satisfaction. Job stress significantly and negatively affects job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The higher the level of stress, the lower the individual's positive evaluation of the work environment, relationships between colleagues, and the rewards they receive. A positive organizational culture increases job satisfaction, strengthens relationships between employees, and encourages the creation of a harmonious work atmosphere. Conversely, a weak or poor organizational culture can decrease employees’ job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Islamic finance development and environmental performance in ten Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries from 2010 to 2023, focusing on the moderating role of governance quality. Using the Environmental Performance Index (EPI) as a composite measure of sustainability, we employ fixed-effects panel regression models to test whether a higher share of Islamic finance in national banking sectors is associated with improved environmental outcomes and whether governance quality strengthens this relationship. Contrary to prevailing theoretical expectations, the results reveal a persistent and statistically significant negative association between the Islamic finance share and environmental performance across all model specifications. Governance quality shows a modest, positive direct effect on environmental performance, but fails to moderate the Islamic finance environment nexus in a statistically significant way. GDP per capita consistently negatively influences EPI scores, indicating a growth environment trade-off, while foreign direct investment remains insignificant. These findings challenge the assumption that Islamic finance is inherently aligned with environmental goals and highlight the need for targeted policy interventions, such as explicit environmental screening in Shariah governance, development of green Islamic finance products, and integrated sustainability mandates that the sector contributes meaningfully to environmental sustainability in OIC countries.

Abstract

This study examines the competition readiness of students participating in the Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi (Pilmapres) competition under LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta. While earlier research concentrated on career impact and selection tools, this study highlights factors related to student readiness prior to the competition. Data were gathered from 63 participants representing 37 universities between 2021 and 2024 using a quantitative approach and an online survey. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for the analysis. The results show that perceived value, student engagement, and competition readiness were not significantly affected by self-efficacy. However, perceived value positively impacted both competition readiness and student engagement. Furthermore, although it did not mediate the relationship between preparedness and self-efficacy, student engagement significantly improved competition readiness. These results imply that perceived value is a more important factor than self-efficacy in promoting student engagement and preparedness.  The intricacy of Pilmapres may necessitate more thorough preparation techniques than just faith.  This study advances the knowledge of student development strategies in competitive academic environments and provides insightful information about the variables affecting students' competition readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze study program development strategies to improve accreditation at the Faculty of Administrative, University of Jakarta. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach, including interviews, observations, and documentation with various relevant parties such as deans, heads of study programs, lecturers, administrative staff, and students. The study concluded that the study program development strategy to improve accreditation includes, first, strengthening the study program's vision and mission. Second, planning and implementing quality assurance in accordance with standards is required. Third, monitoring and evaluating quality control to ensure measurability is required. This strategy can ensure the quality of national education through a sustainable, internal quality assurance system. In the implementation of Tridharma, teaching, research, and community service activities have been actively carried out. Lecturers routinely conduct research and community service and encourage student involvement through theses and social activities. However, instances of manual documentation practices still exist, which slow down the evidence collection process during accreditation. Therefore, accelerating digitalization, both by optimizing SIAKAD and developing a cloud-based storage system, has become a key priority for the university.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of the Islamic leadership approach and Islamic labor ethic on workers' performance within the Salamrejo Village Office, Binangun District, Blitar Regency. The problem formulations proposed include: (1) how does Islamic leadership style influence employee performance, (2) how does the Islamic approach to work influence worker performance, and (3) how do Islamic leadership style and Islamic work ethic influence employee performance simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verification design. Data collection was performed by distributing Likert-scale-based questionnaires to the entire village employee population using a saturated sampling method. Data analysis included validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity tests, and hypothesis testing using the t-test (partial) and F-test (simultaneous) with the help of the SPSS software. The results showed that all research instruments were valid and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha X1 = 0.689; X2 = 0.855; Y = 0.852). The data were normally distributed (Asymp. Sig = 0.057 > 0.05) and free from heteroscedasticity. The t-test showed that Islamic leadership style had a significant positive effect on employee performance (t = 6.010; sig < 0.001), while the Islamic approach to work had a significant negative impact on worker performance (t = -2.859; sig = 0.024). Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly impacted worker performance (F = 20.513; sig = 0.001). Thus, this study concluded that Islamic leadership style is a dominant factor in improving employee performance, while the implementation of Islamic work ethic requires further evaluation to align with work values ​​and contribute optimally to improving performance.
