Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mechanism of Qardhul Hasan financing as an instrument for empowering female teachers’ economic capacity within the Islamic microfinance institution Baituttamkin in West Nusa Tenggara. The dual role of female teachers as educators and family economic supporters requires fair access to financing based on Islamic principles. Through the Qardhul Hasan scheme, the institution provides interest-free loans intended for developing community-based microenterprises. This research employs a qualitative approach using field research and descriptive-analytic methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at Baituttamkin Aikmel Unit. The findings reveal that the Qardhul Hasan mechanism effectively enhances the economic independence and welfare of female teachers through sharia-compliant business capital support. Beyond financial benefits, the program also serves as a medium for financial education, spiritual strengthening, and fostering social solidarity among participants. Therefore, Qardhul Hasan represents a financing model that not only promotes material prosperity but also embodies the ethical, equitable, and inclusive principles of Islamic economic values.

Abstract

The learning of Maharah Qira’ah at the higher education level still faces challenges, particularly the low motivation and participation of students due to the limited use of interactive digital media. This academic concern encouraged the researcher to design a new medium that can effectively support Maharah Qira’ah learning. The aim of this study is to develop a website-based learning media integrated with WordWall, called “MAHARA”, and to assess its validity and effectiveness in improving students’ reading skills. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were 16 second-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Program at Institut Attanwir Bojonegoro. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests, analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results indicated that “MAHARA” was categorized as highly valid with validation scores of 90% from media experts, 96% from material experts, and 92% from instructional experts. Students’ average scores increased from 72.50 (pre-test) to 96.25 (post-test), with the Paired Sample T-Test showing a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05, proving its effectiveness. The implication is that “MAHARA” can serve as an innovative alternative in Arabic learning, particularly in Maharah Qira’ah, and foster the integration of interactive digital media in higher education.

Abstract

Teacher attitudes play a vital role in shaping their motivation and effectiveness, especially among educators working with students with special needs. However, limited success and challenging teaching conditions often lead to low work motivation and negative implicit attitudes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between implicit attitudes and work motivation among teachers of special needs students within an Islamic perspective. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs a literature study method by collecting and analyzing scholarly sources such as books, journal articles, and other academic works relevant to Islamic views on moral behavior, motivation, and education. The findings reveal that teachers’ implicit attitudes reflected through moral conduct and sincerity have a direct influence on their work motivation. Good moral character (akhlak) strengthens spiritual awareness and fosters intrinsic motivation to perform teaching duties sincerely as a form of worship to Allah. This study highlights the significance of integrating Islamic ethical values into teacher motivation frameworks, emphasizing that moral integrity and sincere intentions can enhance the performance and well-being of inclusive education teachers.

Abstract

Fiscal policy has the potential to alter government revenue and expenditure to improve economic conditions. In addition to taxes as fiscal policy instruments, zakat and waqf also play a role in fiscal policy, one of the goals of which is to build the national economy. This study aims to explore the role of zakat and waqf in fiscal policy from an Islamic macroeconomic perspective. This research is a library research, with a combination of philosophical and phenomenological approaches. The philosophical approach is used to examine material objects of philosophy in depth, such as values, principles, and objectives of Islamic macroeconomics, as well as the role of zakat and waqf in fiscal policy. Meanwhile, the library approach is used to examine fiscal policy as reflected in society through poverty data and other matters contained in scientific works, documents, and research results. The results of this study demonstrate that the goal of the Islamic macroeconomic system is to improve the welfare of society, realize the maqasid as sharia (objectives of sharia), and uphold the value of justice. Therefore, the distribution of zakat and waqf must be guided by the guidance of Allah and the Sunnah. This reference gives rise to the concept that zakat and waqf play a significant role in fiscal policy. Zakat and waqf are instruments of fiscal policy. Proper management and empowerment of zakat and waqf by the government and the community in a coordinated manner contribute positively to fiscal policy for the community.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of giving jeulamee (dowry) during engagement (khitbah) in Mukim Lamreung, Krueng Barona Jaya District, Aceh Besar, from an Islamic legal perspective. Normatively, dowry is a husband’s obligation after the marriage contract, but in Lamreung’s tradition, part of the dowry is given during the engagement as a symbol of sincerity and commitment. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through observation and interviews with local community, religious, and customary leaders. The findings reveal that the giving of jeulamee during khitbah is viewed as a valuable social tradition but, in Islamic law, is classified as a gift (hibah), not a valid dowry. The Aceh Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) Fatwa No. 5 of 2016 states that property given during engagement is considered a gift and must be returned if the marriage does not occur. Therefore, this tradition is acceptable as long as it is understood as a cultural practice consistent with Islamic legal principles rather than a religious obligation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of daily worship habits in shaping students' spiritual awareness at Maahad Tahfidz Vokasional Aman Bistari, Malaysia. Using a qualitative case study approach supported by descriptive quantitative data, it is categorized as a mixed-methods study. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that daily worship practices, such as congregational prayer, dhikr, tilawah, and qiyamullail, are carried out in a structured and consistent manner, thereby not only forming religious routines but also fostering students' spiritual awareness in cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. This awareness is reflected in increased discipline, sincerity, patience, and social awareness, as well as a shift in students' motivation from compliance with rules to personal spiritual needs. The main supporting factors include teacher role modeling, supervision, and a conducive religious environment. These findings show that the success of worship habits depends not only on the frequency of activities but also on the quality of spiritual reflection that accompanies them. Thus, daily worship habits have proven to be effective as a pedagogical strategy in internalizing spiritual values and shaping students' character, as well as being a relevant model of Islamic education for facing the challenges of modernization and a reference for similar educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of stock prices by examining the influence of price to book value (PBV) and trading volume on companies listed in the IDX30 index. The research population includes all issuers consistently included in the IDX30 during the 2021–2023 period. Using a purposive sampling technique, 20 companies were selected, resulting in 60 observational data points. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression accompanied by classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the estimated model. The empirical results show that price to book value has a significant positive effect on stock prices, indicating that companies with higher PBV tend to exhibit stronger stock valuations. In addition, trading volume is also found to significantly influence stock prices, implying that increased liquidity and market activity contribute to higher investor demand and subsequent price appreciation. These findings highlight the relevance of fundamental valuation ratios and market activity indicators in explaining stock price movements within highly liquid and large-cap companies included in the IDX30 index.

Abstract

Universities, through halal centers, participate in supporting the implementation of halal certification. The halal center assists BPJPH in fulfilling halal obligations by providing halal assistance to MSME actors to obtain halal certification. The existence of the Halal Center plays an important role for business actors in the implementation of halal certification. However, there are several challenges, such as a lack of understanding among MSME actors regarding halal certification obligations and a lack of support from local governments and university institutions, which hinder its implementation. In this study, a qualitative descriptive method was used as a technique for data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation of the leadership of the UIN Madura Halal Center. This study aims to identify and determine the extent to which the UIN Madura Halal Center is capable of supporting the implementation of halal certification using several indicators, such as institutional, operational, collaborative, and socio-economic impacts. The results of this study indicate that the UIN Madura Halal Center is capable of supporting the implementation of halal certification for MSMEs. However, in its implementation, there are still problems such as a lack of financial support in building the LPH halal laboratory and a lack of halal assistants.

Abstract

This study integrates the epistemology of uṣūl al-fiqh with blockchain ontology to formulate a digital ijtihad-maqaṣidī model relevant to the digital Islamic economy. The problem examined: how to develop an istinbāṭ methodology that is able to read and design laws in a blockchain algorithmic system? The novelty of this research lies in the combination of maqaṣid-driven ijtihad with technological architecture (smart contracts, digital identity, governance), a philosophical approach that has never been formulated systematically. The methods used are multi-methodological philosophical-normative: ontological analysis of technology, ushulī hermeneutics on nash and rules, and conceptual synthesis validated through thought experiments and expert panels; Data are derived from selected literature, fatwas, whitepapers, and case studies. The findings show three operational pillars (sharia design thinking; maqaṣid-guided algorithmic ethics; qawaʿid-based smart contracts) that enable the instilling of sharia values in system design. Implications: ijtihad becomes a proactive digital legal design tool and guideline for fatwas, regulators, and sharia fintech developers.
