Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the patterns of social communication while simultaneously accelerating the spread of information in the public sphere. On the other hand, technological advancement has also triggered an increase in the spread of hoaxes, which potentially cause social unrest, conflict, and a decline in public trust in information. This study aims to examine the value of tabayyun in the Qur’an as an ethical foundation for addressing the spread of hoaxes in the digital era and to formulate the concept of Digital Tabayyun Ethics (DTE) 2.0 as a model of media ethics based on Qur’anic values. This research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach. Primary data sources are derived from the Qur’an and classical and contemporary tafsir (Qur’anic exegesis), particularly the interpretation of QS Al-Hujurat verse 6. Meanwhile, secondary sources include books, articles, academic journals, and other relevant documents related to digital literacy and information ethics. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method through interpretation of the verse, examination of its socio-historical context, and its relevance to contemporary digital information dynamics. The results show that the concept of tabayyun has strong relevance as a principle of information verification in addressing hoaxes. Through the development of Digital Tabayyun Ethics (DTE) 2.0, the value of tabayyun is actualized into four main principles: verification before viral, validation of information, accountability of digital speech, and empathy in communication. These principles form a Qur’anic digital ethics framework that emphasizes honesty, responsibility, and prudence in disseminating information in the era of digital transformation

Abstract

The advancement of Industry 4.0 technology has transformed the way humans think and work, making it faster, more efficient, and more effective across various sectors, including education. Universitas Terbuka (UT), as a distance learning university, actively develops learning methods based on online platforms and independent study to support and evaluate the learning system, particularly in laboratory practices. Research shows that the QR Code-based E-Poster developed has high levels of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving environmental literacy. The majority of respondents gave positive feedback, including ease of use, good layout, information accessibility, clear text presentation, attractive color composition, good systematic organization, and efficiency in delivering information. In assessing media quality, aspects of readability and conceptual understanding are very important. The conceptual reasoning of respondents in following and understanding the ideas presented in the E-Poster is a significant factor. Ease of reading and understanding the text, as well as the ability to interpret the language used, also support the effectiveness of this media. These findings emphasize the importance of paying attention to design and language aspects in developing E-Posters as effective learning and communication tools in the digital era

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Quantum Tahfidz Ash-Shiddiiqi (QTA) program at Ash-Shiddiiqi Islamic Boarding School, analyze the forms of students' spiritual transformation through the program, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of the transformation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations of students, muhafidz (mentors), and program administrators. Secondary data were obtained from books, journals, pesantren documents, and activity archives. The findings reveal that the QTA program is implemented through structured stages including tahsin (recitation improvement), tahfidz (memorization), halaqah (learning circles), habituation of worship, and character reinforcement. Students' spiritual transformation encompasses four dimensions: faith, worship, morals, and self-awareness. Supporting factors include student motivation, religious environment, and muhafidz role modeling, while inhibiting factors include lack of motivation, boredom, time constraints, and uneven quality of muhafidz. The QTA program is proven to play a significant role in fostering students' holistic spiritual transformation.

Abstract

The absence of specific regulations governing the procedures for changing the composition of the cabinet within the Indonesian national legal framework has given rise to debate among academics regarding the limits of the president's authority and its compatibility with the principles of siyasah dusturiyah. This study is directed at examining the juridical basis for the President's authority to carry out a cabinet reshuffle according to positive law, as well as assessing its implementation based on the values of justice ('adl), trust, deliberation (syura), and benefit (maslahah mursalah). This research uses a normative juridical method with a conceptual approach, statutory regulations (statute approach), and a fiqh siyasah dusturiyah perspective. The findings show that the cabinet reshuffle carried out by Prabowo Subianto in 2025 is considered constitutionally valid because it is the president's prerogative, but in the siyasah dusturiyah review its implementation does not fully reflect these four principles. This is influenced by a lack of transparency, the absence of published performance indicators, the dominance of unilateral decision making, and the impact of policies that have not been analyzed comprehensively. As a result of this gap, the potential for achieving the president's vision and mission is hampered, bureaucratic stability is disrupted, and the cabinet's performance is not optimal as perceived by the public.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of stereotype formation and dissemination in the digital era. The research addresses a critical gap, namely the absence of an integrative framework that combines individual psychological processes, media algorithm mechanisms, and Islamic communication values in understanding digital stereotypes. This study aims to analyze the layers shaping digital stereotypes, identify their emerging characteristics, and formulate the role of Islamic communication in reducing stereotypes. The research employs a library research approach by analyzing recent scholarly literature using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that digital stereotypes are constructed through three interconnected layers: cognitive (social categorization), structural (media algorithms), and normative-ethical (Islamic communication values). Furthermore, four defining characteristics of digital stereotypes are identified: viral dissemination, algorithmic reinforcement, moral framing, and resistance to correction. The novelty of this study lies in the development of a three-level integrative model that combines cognitive literacy, structural awareness of media systems, and the internalization of Islamic communication ethics, including tabayyun (verification), husnuzan (positive presumption), and 'adl (justice). The study concludes that Islamic communication plays a strategic role as an ethical foundation for fostering a more just and civilized digital public sphere. These findings imply the need to strengthen digital literacy grounded in Islamic communication ethics within plural societies.

Abstract

The Qur’an serves as a guide for life and a solution to human problems. However, certain messages within it may lead to interpretative ambiguities if not grounded in the proper scholarly framework of Qur’anic sciences one of which is rules of Qur’anic interpretation (qā’idah al-tafsīr). For instance, the verse that warns against consuming the property of orphans unjustly (Qur’an, Surah al-Nisa’: 10), can prompt interpretative questions. Does the punishment apply only to consuming orphan wealth? What about other actions? Employing a qualitative method and library research, this article examines several texts to address these questions. The findings affirm that applying rules of Qur’anic interpretation is crucial in interpreting the Qur’an. In the context of the aforementioned issues, the interpretative rule used is al-siyāq al-khaṣṣ yurād bih al-‘āmm, as outlined in the book al-Qawā’id al-Ḥisān. This rule means that a specific context can carry a universal implication although the wording appears specific, the intended message is general and widely applicable. From this discussion, two conclusions emerge concerning the general nature of such contexts: (i) other actions or words with similar intent or impact fall under the same ruling, and (ii) actions or words with greater harm or severity are likewise included."

Abstract

In contemporary religious practice, digital transformation has brought significant changes, particularly within Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Leadership (Pimpinan Ranting) in Plumbungan. This study aims to address several key questions, including how digital media is utilized in the religious activities of NU members, to what extent social media influences religious development, and whether the use of digital media affects traditional religious values. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data through literature studies and online questionnaires. The findings reveal that social media usage is multiplatform and has become an essential component of organizational operations. A total of 76% of respondents stated that social media significantly influences religious development, while all respondents agreed that digital media has been effectively utilized in religious activities. Furthermore, 76% strongly agreed that digital media expands the reach of da’wah, and the majority of respondents (92%) believed that digital media does not diminish traditional religious values. These results indicate that digital media can function as a strategic tool to support da’wah, organizational communication, and the dissemination of religious information without eroding traditional values. However, challenges remain regarding digital literacy and the validity of information
