Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of service quality, sharia compliance, and digital banking on customer loyalty, with switching behavior as a mediating variable among customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Pandaan. Using an explanatory quantitative approach, primary data were collected from 100 respondents through purposive sampling and analyzed using SmartPLS-based SEM. The results show that sharia compliance has a negative and significant effect on switching behavior, meaning stronger implementation of sharia principles reduces customers' tendency to switch banks. However, service quality and digital banking show no significant effect on switching behavior. Switching behavior is also found unable to mediate the relationships between the independent variables and customer loyalty. These findings confirm that loyalty in Islamic banking is driven more by commitment to sharia principles than by functional service or digital technology. The study is limited to one branch office with a small sample, so further testing across broader areas is needed. Practically, Islamic banks should strengthen sharia compliance as their main strategy to retain customers. This research offers a fresh perspective on switching behavior by positioning sharia compliance as the primary determinant of customer loyalty amid increasingly intense banking competition

Abstract

Increasing business competition requires culinary MSMEs to improve their competitiveness. One way to improve MSME performance is by obtaining halal certification. In reality, many culinary business owners still see the halal certificate as just paperwork. Yet this document actually helps build buyer trust and adds selling value to products. Previous research also shows mixed results about how much the halal label affects small business competitiveness. Because of this gap, this research tests the impact of halal certification on culinary MSMEs in Pasuruan Regency. The approach was quantitative with 86 food business owners as respondents. Data were processed in SPSS through validity, reliability, descriptive, simple regression, t-test, and R Square tests. Findings reveal that halal certification has a positive impact on competitiveness. The significance was 0.002, below 0.05, with an effect contribution of 10.9%. indicates that halal certification influences the competitiveness of culinary MSMEs. Therefore, halal certification plays a crucial role in boosting the competitiveness of culinary MSMEs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic character development model and the character values developed through the development process at PETAMA School, Malaysia. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires involving teachers and students in a boarding school setting. Data were analyzed using data reduction, categorization, and thematic coding to identify the forms of development and the character values formed. The results indicate that Islamic character development is implemented through daily activities, social interactions, teacher role models, discipline reinforcement through rules, rewards, and sanctions, as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation. This process contributes to the development of religious character, discipline, responsibility, and social care in students, with religious character being the most dominant value developed. In its implementation, the development process still faces several obstacles, such as lack of student discipline, the influence of social media, language barriers, and poor memorization. To address these conditions, the school provides guidance through a personal approach, counseling, monitoring of mobile phone use, and periodic evaluation. This research demonstrates that the boarding environment plays a crucial role in supporting the internalization of Islamic character values through consistent and ongoing habituation

Abstract

This study investigates the application of good governance in the management of regional official vehicles within the framework of Islamic Education Management. A qualitative instrumental case study was conducted in Kotawaringin Timur Regency using interviews, document review, and administrative observation. Findings reveal that while formal compliance is high, 88.8% of active vehicles have valid User Decrees, the remaining 11.2% are administratively outdated due to job rotation and delayed updates. This indicates that governance practices remain largely procedural and lack adaptive responsiveness, resulting in gaps in organizational accountability. The primary constraints lie in fragmented data integration between asset and personnel systems and limited inter-unit coordination. From an Islamic Education Management perspective, these conditions reflect incomplete internalization of stewardship (amanah) and professional integrity (itqan) in daily practice. The study concludes that advancing good governance requires integrated digital systems, strengthened organizational adaptability, and the incorporation of ethical values in administrative processes. Conceptually, the research demonstrates that effective public asset governance depends on aligning legal compliance, institutional capacity, and moral accountability within a cohesive governance framework

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of informal mediation in resolving land disputes among heirs in Sungai Jior Village, the role of informal mediation from the perspective of the Compilation of Islamic Law, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, traditional figures, the village head, and parties involved in informal dispute resolution. The findings reveal that informal mediation in Sungai Jior Village is conducted in a familial manner, involving religious and traditional leaders as mediators. Agreements are reached orally and are considered morally and traditionally binding. This mediation plays an essential role in preventing prolonged conflicts, restoring family relationships, and achieving a fair inheritance distribution in accordance with Islamic principles as stipulated in the Compilation of Islamic Law. Supporting factors include trust in community leaders, a strong culture of deliberation, and process efficiency, while inhibiting factors involve emotional unpreparedness of disputing parties and the absence of clear inheritance documents

Abstract

The issue of waste management in Indonesia has become increasingly complex due to population growth, urbanization, and changing consumption patterns. Similar conditions occur in Banjar Agung Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency, where low public awareness, limited infrastructure, and weak supervision continue to hinder the implementation of waste management policies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of South Lampung Regency Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2015 concerning Waste Management and examine it from the perspective of fiqh siyasah tanfidziyyah. This research employed a qualitative field research approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving village officials, waste management officers, community leaders, and local residents. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the regional regulation has not been optimal due to weak policy communication, limited resources, low community participation, and the absence of an integrated waste management system. From the perspective of fiqh siyasah tanfidziyyah, the policy implementation has not fully reflected the principles of amanah, maslahah, ‘adl, and prevention of mafsadah. Therefore, institutional strengthening, environmental education based on Islamic values, and greater community participation are necessary to create sustainable waste management

Abstract

Functional fatherlessness has emerged as a contemporary family issue characterized by the physical presence of fathers within the family while lacking emotional involvement, educational roles, and optimal caregiving functions. This condition potentially affects family resilience, particularly in the aspects of religious education, family relationships, and children’s character development. This study aims to analyze the views of Islamic scholars in Ciawi Bojonggambir Village, Tasikmalaya Regency, regarding the phenomenon of functional fatherlessness and its impact on family resilience from the perspective of Jamāl al-Dīn ‘Aṭiyyah’s Maqāṣid al-Usrah. The research employed an empirical juridical approach using descriptive-analytical qualitative methods. Primary data were obtained through interviews with local Islamic scholars, while secondary data were collected from Islamic family law literature, Jamāl al-Dīn ‘Aṭiyyah’s works, academic journals, and other supporting documents. The findings reveal that Islamic scholars perceive functional fatherlessness as a manifestation of the weakening of the qawwāmah function within the family, which affects all dimensions of Maqāṣid al-Usrah, including family relations, preservation of lineage, family tranquility, religious education, family institutional structure, and financial balance

Abstract

Zakat holds a strategic role as an instrument of wealth redistribution and social solidarity reinforcement in Muslim societies. This study aims to analyze the role of zakat from both philosophical and juridical perspectives in an integrative manner. The research employs a library research method with a conceptual and philosophical-juridical approach. The findings reveal that philosophically, zakat not only transfers wealth from muzaki (payers) to mustahik (recipients) but also purifies the soul of the giver from miserliness and builds collective awareness that the wealth of the rich contains the rights of the poor. Zakat also strengthens social solidarity through the concepts of takaful ijtima'i (social guarantee) and ukhuwah islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). Juridically, Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management has provided a strong legal foundation for the establishment of BAZNAS and LAZ in Indonesia. However, its implementation still faces various problems such as weak internal supervision, low public transparency, limited human resource capacity, and suboptimal integration between zakat and state fiscal policies. This study recommends the integration of philosophical and juridical approaches in zakat management, along with strengthening professional, transparent, and participatory governance so that zakat can optimally contribute to achieving social justice and communal solidarity
