Abstract

The rapid proliferation of social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram has significantly impacted teenage behavior, particularly in terms of virtual identity creation. This study delves into how teenagers at SMAN 1 Depok utilize Instagram to craft their virtual personas, drawing on Michael Hecht’s Communication Theory of Identity. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, including observation, documentation, and interviews, this research zeroes in on female students at SMAN 1 Depok. Utilizing Von Eckartsberg’s phenomenological analysis, which encompasses data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, the study identifies four distinct layers at which virtual identity is constructed: 1) The personal layer, evident in usernames and profiles across primary and secondary accounts; 2) The enactment layer, reflected in interactions like likes and comments from followers; 3) The relational layer, where usage of both accounts reveals different facets of identity—with the primary account showcasing a positive self-concept and limited identity disclosure, and the secondary account allowing for more open expression with selective friendships; 4) The communal layer, where identities are shaped within influencer or celebgram fan communities, with informants often swayed by prevalent lifestyles to gain acceptance. This research underscores the nuanced ways in which teenagers navigate their identities in the digital realm.

Abstract

This study uses the foreign exchange rate to investigate how the Indonesia Stock Exchange's Composite Stock Price Index is affected by growing oil prices and economic growth. The study's population consists of all data on the Indonesia Stock currency's Composite Stock Price Index (JCI), as well as all data on foreign exchange rates, GDP, and worldwide oil prices from Bank Indonesia for the quarters ending in 2010 and 2020. The analysis technique uses path analysis which is an extension of multiple linear analysis, or path analysis is the use of regression analysis to estimate the causal relationship between variables (causal model), the population used is all composite stock price index data and the sample used is a saturated sample of all combined stock price index data. The results of the study show that the Composite Stock Price Index is influenced by the World Oil Price. There is no contribution from Economic Growth to the Composite Stock Price Index. Foreign exchange rates have an effect on the Composite Stock Price Index based on the price of oil globally. Through foreign exchange rates, economic progress affects the composite stock price index.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of the Election Supervisory Agency in the prosecution of the handling of violations of the 2020 Berau Regency Simultaneous Pilkada. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques from the interview process, observation and documentation. The research focuses on identifying and analysing Bawaslu's role in prosecuting administrative violations and criminal violations of the elections, identifying and analysing obstacles to prosecuting the handling of election violations, and developing a model for prosecuting the handling of election violations. The results showed that Bawaslu's role in enforcing the handling of violations of the 2020 Berau Regency Pilkada has been carried out quite well both in handling administrative violations and handling criminal violations. The obstacles faced by Bawaslu in the efforts to enforce the handling of violations of the 2020 Berau Regency Pilkada are the lack of human resources (HR) in Bawaslu Berau Regency, the lack of public awareness to participate in monitoring Pilkada violations, and the massive practice of money politics. The existing conditions for the handling of election violations through Gakkumundu formed by Bawaslu with inter-institutional collaboration with the Police and the Prosecutor's Office. For the reform model, the researcher proposes a draft model for strengthening Bawaslu's authority in integrated law enforcement by adopting the authority of OTT and TT carried out by the KPK and Cyber Pungli and the design of an Ad Hoc election judicial model for the effectiveness of election dispute resolution.

Abstract

In order to support the growth of tomato production and processing in the Kebbi State, an assessment of the tomato value chain was conducted. Approximately 2.3 million metric tons of fresh tomatoes are produced annually in Nigeria, but over half of them are wasted because of inadequate transportation, storage, and processing facilities. Because of this, it is critical to create plans for the tomato value chain's development. A critical analysis of the body of existing research and a schedule of interviews with important participants in the value chain, including producers, intermediary traders, retailers, and input suppliers, were the methods used for this study. Despite the great output of fresh tomatoes, the study also showed that Kebbi State is still not a major exporter of processed or fresh tomato products. It was discovered that this was caused by a lack of high-quality seed supplies, inadequate storage facilities, subpar disease and insect control, and subpar processing facilities. In order to overcome the obstacles, policies should support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) throughout the value chain; input supplies should be improved; farmers should be organized into cooperatives to launch creative funding mechanisms for them; processors should be placed in clusters; marketing strategies should be improved, including guaranteeing prices for fresh tomato products; technologies for processing and storage should be developed; farmers should adopt Good Agricultural Practices (GAP); and a strong National Commodity Association or Network should be established.
