Abstract

Modern society is characterized by the reality of pluralism in ethnicity, culture, language, and religion, which requires social management based on the values of justice and tolerance. In this context, interfaith dialogue becomes an essential instrument for maintaining social harmony, particularly in multicultural countries such as Indonesia. This article aims to examine the concept of multicultural fiqh as a normative foundation for building interfaith dialogue within a plural society. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research methods, analyzing Qur’anic verses, classical and contemporary tafsir, and scholarly literature related to multiculturalism and interfaith dialogue. The findings indicate that Islam normatively recognizes pluralism as sunnatullah (divine decree), as reflected in the diversity of ethnicities, languages, and religions. Multicultural fiqh, grounded in the framework of maq??id al-shar?‘ah, emphasizes the importance of justice, tolerance (tas?mu?), equality, and respect for human dignity in interreligious relations. The main challenges to interfaith dialogue include social prejudice, religious fanaticism, discrimination, and identity-based conflicts, which can be addressed through the internalization of Qur’anic values and the strengthening of cross-faith communication. Thus, multicultural fiqh plays a strategic role as an ethical and normative framework for enhancing interfaith dialogue and fostering sustainable social harmony in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation and service quality on the performance of Grab online transportation drivers in Palembang City. The increasingly intense competition in the online transportation industry requires companies to pay attention to driver welfare while maintaining service quality to ensure optimal performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to Grab drivers in Palembang City. The independent variables tested are compensation and service quality, while the dependent variable is driver performance. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression. The results of this study are expected to show that adequate compensation and good service quality have a positive and significant effect on improving driver performance. This study provides practical implications for Grab management in formulating compensation strategies and improving service quality to support customer satisfaction and sustainable driver performance.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of justice in court decisions from a historical–juridical perspective by analyzing the interrelationship between Islamic law, national law, and international human rights instruments. Justice in the judicial process is understood as a fundamental principle that must be realized from the investigation stage to the execution of court decisions. This study employs a qualitative method with normative-historical and juridical approaches through an analysis of Qur’anic verses, Hadith, the views of classical and contemporary Islamic jurists, as well as statutory regulations and international human rights documents. The findings indicate that Islamic law had established the principles of a fair trial long before the concept was formally recognized in modern legal systems. These principles include legality, the presumption of innocence, judicial independence and impartiality, open court proceedings, equality of the parties, the right to legal representation, the prohibition of undue delay, the right to remain silent, and the prohibition of torture. These principles are consistent with the provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Therefore, the concept of justice in Islamic law has strong relevance to modern judicial systems and can serve as an ethical and juridical foundation for realizing justice that upholds human dignity.

Abstract

Legal issues at the international level are more complex and complicated compared to conflicts within a specific territorial jurisdiction. This is because international legal matters may involve multiple countries simultaneously and require significant efforts for resolution. The case discussed in this paper concerns the South China Sea dispute, brought by the Philippines as one of the countries claiming rights over the South China Sea. The Philippines submitted the dispute with China to the International Arbitration forum. The Philippines argued that China’s actions in constructing artificial islands have caused severe damage to coral reef environments. Further analysis of this case will be discussed in more detail in the sections below.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) addresses global issues related to the development of science and artificial intelligence (AI). PAI encourages the pursuit of knowledge as part of worship, as taught in the Qur'an, and can align science with Islamic values to understand Allah SWT's creation. The development of AI raises ethical issues, such as privacy, discrimination, unemployment, and security risks, while also opening opportunities for halal innovation. From the perspective of PAI, AI must be used in accordance with the maqasid sharia for the common good, avoiding misuse that contradicts the principles of honesty and justice. Recommendations include updating the PAI curriculum to improve AI literacy. In conclusion, PAI can serve as a guide for the responsible use of AI, making it a tool for harmony between religion, science, and technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and urgency of utilizing media and technology in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as an effort to enhance the effectiveness, relevance, and attractiveness of the learning process in the digital era. The use of media and technology is viewed as a strategic step to integrate Islamic values with contemporary developments and the needs of modern learners. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining various sources such as books, scientific journals, and research findings related to the application of media and technology in PAI learning. The results indicate that media and technology play an important role in helping teachers deliver PAI materials in a contextual, interactive, and inspiring manner. The utilization of digital technologies, such as instructional videos, online platforms, Islamic applications, and educational social media, can increase students’ motivation, creativity, and engagement in understanding Islamic values. Nevertheless, challenges such as the digital divide, the validity of religious information, and the risk of declining spiritual interaction must also be anticipated. The implications of this study emphasize that PAI teachers need to act as wise and adaptive digital murabbi without losing the essence of Islamic spirituality. Schools are expected to provide support in the form of training, facilities, and a conducive learning environment so that media and technology truly function as tools for da‘wah, character building, and strengthening Islamic values in the modern era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji makna media digital dalam penyampaian pesan tabligh Ustadz Hanan Attaki di era digital dengan menyoroti aspek psikologi komunikasi dakwah. studi ini memfokuskan pada analisis strategi dakwah digital yang digunakan Ustadz Hanan Attaki dan persepsi jamaah terhadap pesan dakwah dalam platform digital. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa media digital di era modern tidak sekadar menjadi alat penyebaran pesan, tetapi juga ruang interaksi simbolis yang membangun kedekatan emosional dan spiritual antara dai dan jamaah. Media digital menghadirkan peluang transformasi dakwah yang lebih efektif dan relevan dengan karakteristik psikologis khalayak masa kini. Fokus penelitian adalah bagaimana psikologi khalayak memengaruhi penerimaan pesan dakwah Ustadz Hanan Attaki, Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara kualitatif, menggunakan metode analisis konten dan studi literatur. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyelidiki bagaimana pesan dakwah yang disampaikan kepada khalayak di media digital berinteraksi dengan psikologi mereka.

Abstract

Improving educational quality is a strategic priority for developing high-quality human resources, particularly through tahfizh pesantren that serve as centers for forming a Qur’anic generation with noble character and readiness for da‘wah. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of community-based quality management in education at PPTQ Bale Dakwah An Nabawy. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis is conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that quality improvement at PPTQ Bale Dakwah An Nabawy is achieved through: (1) clear formulation of tahfizh-da‘wah vision and mission, (2) continuous quality management based on SWOT analysis, (3) active community involvement as partners in da‘wah and student guidance, and (4) periodic evaluation of Qur’anic memorization, prophetic morals, and da‘wah competencies. This model produces Qur’an memorizers with strong character, independence, and readiness to serve the community.

Abstract

Qur’anic exegesis occupies a strategic position in the development of Islamic scholarship, as it functions to explain the meanings and messages of divine revelation in accordance with the context of the Muslim community. Along with the development of time, Muslim scholars have formulated various methods of interpretation, among which the ijm?l? and muq?ran methods represent two prominent approaches with distinct characteristics and orientations. This study aims to examine comprehensively the characteristics, procedures, strengths, and limitations of the ijm?l? and muq?ran methods of Qur’anic interpretation, as well as their relevance in contemporary Qur’anic studies. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing classical and modern exegetical works alongside methodological studies of tafs?r and ?ad?th commentary. The findings indicate that tafs?r ijm?l? is a global, concise, and communicative interpretive method, making it particularly effective for da‘wah and Islamic education among the general public. However, this method is limited in terms of contextual and comparative analysis. In contrast, tafs?r muq?ran emphasizes comparative analysis between similar Qur’anic verses, between verses and relevant ?ad?ths, and among the interpretations of different exegetes, thereby producing a deeper, more critical, and objective understanding, although it requires a higher level of scholarly competence. The application of the muq?ran method in interpreting Qur’an 2:228 concerning the meaning of qur?’ demonstrates divergent opinions among classical legal schools and highlights the tendency of contemporary scholars to prioritize the principles of facilitation (tays?r) and the removal of hardship (raf‘ al-?araj). This study concludes that the ijm?l? and muq?ran methods should not be viewed as dichotomous but rather as complementary approaches. Their integration can generate a comprehensive, contextual, and relevant understanding of the Qur’an that responds to the needs of Muslims in the modern era.

Abstract

This study provides an in-depth understanding of the affective dimension of da’wah communication in the digital era. Against the backdrop of technological development, da’wah is no longer confined to conventional methods but has evolved into a more interactive and responsive multi-directional form of communication. Preachers (da’i) now adopt various strategies to enhance the effectiveness of da’wah in the digital sphere. The findings highlight the affective aspects of da’wah communication through a digital platform, namely YouTube. This study takes da’wah content by Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) as a sample, as it represents a successful example of reaching audiences through digital channels. Several strategies for enhancing da’wah in the digital era are identified, including mastering various digital platforms, developing storytelling skills, understanding audience online trends and habits, collaborating with digital content creators, implementing interactive technologies, optimizing searchability and online visibility, and maintaining consistent branding and messaging. In conclusion, the utilization of digital technology can create da’wah content that is more dynamic, relevant, and easily accessible to audiences increasingly connected through technology. Thus, this study offers practical guidance for preachers and researchers to enhance the affective impact of da’wah in the digital era, making da’wah more effective and relevant in responding to the dynamics of contemporary communication technology developments.
