Abstract

Cultural heritage, particularly the traditional arts of Sinrilik and Pasang among the Bugis-Makassar people, has important philosophical and moral values. However, these two arts are increasingly marginalised among Generation Z in Paccinongang Village, Gowa Regency, who are more exposed to global culture. On the other hand, Generation Z also faces mental health challenges such as stress and anxiety due to academic and social pressures. This qualitative research with an ethnographic approach aims to: (1) analyse the cultural meaning of Sinrilik and Pasang , (2) identify their potential as innovative media for Generation Z's mental health, and (3) design revitalisation strategies. Through observation and in-depth interviews, this study found that the reflective values in Sinrilik and the moral messages in Pasang have a calming effect and can serve as guidelines for life. In response, the SIPAS (Sinrilik and Pasang) Programme was designed with a participatory approach involving local artists, community leaders, and Generation Z. The programme, which includes training, interactive performances, and digital documentation, has succeeded in increasing Generation Z's interest and understanding of their cultural heritage, while reducing anxiety levels and strengthening social cohesion. This research concludes that integrating traditional art preservation with a mental health approach through adaptive and participatory strategies can create sustainable solutions for the future of culture and well-being. This study concludes that integrating the preservation of traditional arts with a mental health approach through adaptive and participatory strategies can create sustainable solutions for the cultural future and psychological well-being of Generation Z.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling using self-management techniques on the tendency of nomophobia among tenth-grade students of SMK Swasta PAB 8 Sampali in the academic year 2024/2025. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted from May to July 2025. The subjects of the research were eight tenth-grade TBSM students of SMK Swasta PAB 8 Sampali, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through a nomophobia questionnaire consisting of 31 valid and reliable statements. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis showed that the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value was 0.011, which is ≤ 0.05. Therefore, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. The mean pre-test score was 109.00, while the mean post-test score was 61.25. This indicates that the tendency of nomophobia decreased after receiving group counseling using self-management techniques, with a change interval of 43.80%. These findings demonstrate that group counseling using self-management techniques has a significant effect on reducing the tendency of nomophobia among students of SMK Swasta PAB 8 Sampali in the academic year 2024/2025, thus the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on Return on Assets (ROA) of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2020–2023, with Firm Size as a mediating variable. The research is motivated by the decline in bank profitability during the COVID-19 pandemic due to increased credit risk and sluggish credit growth. Secondary data were collected from annual reports of eight major banks selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with bootstrapping to test the significance of relationships between variables. The results show that GCG has a significant positive effect on both Firm Size and ROA, highlighting the importance of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness in enhancing asset efficiency and profitability. However, Firm Size does not significantly affect ROA and therefore does not mediate the relationship between GCG and ROA. These findings indicate that while GCG contributes to firm growth, larger scale alone does not ensure higher profitability without effective asset and risk management. The study supports Signaling Theory, suggesting that strong governance practices send more valuable market signals than operational scale. This research contributes to understanding the determinants of bank profitability during periods of crisis and emphasizes the managerial importance of strengthening governance and asset management efficiency rather than focusing solely on expansion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on tourist engagement and formulate a digital marketing strategy for the development of the historical tourist destination of Siti Nurbaya Park, Gunung Padang, in Padang City. This study uses a mixed methods approach, a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative research design used is explanatory research because it aims to explain the causal relationship between social media (the independent variable) and tourist engagement (the dependent variable). Meanwhile, a qualitative approach is used to deepen the results of the quantitative analysis and formulate a digital marketing strategy for the destination. The quantitative data analysis technique uses simple linear regression analysis to test the relationship between social media variables and tourist engagement. Furthermore, this study also utilizes a SWOT analysis to formulate a digital marketing development strategy for the destination. The results show that social media has a significant influence on tourist engagement, contributing 57.5%. This is reflected in the increased interest in visiting, interactions through digital media, and the tendency of tourists to provide recommendations. Current digital marketing strategies are still limited to the use of Instagram and the official website, supported by short video content. However, limited human resources, digital devices, and minimal community participation hinder optimal promotion. Based on the SWOT analysis, potential strategies include strengthening creative content, expanding the use of digital platforms, collaborating with influencers, and increasing the capacity of local communities in community-based promotion. This research is expected to provide practical contributions to the development of digital marketing strategies for historical tourism destinations, while simultaneously strengthening local cultural identity and regional tourism competitiveness.

Abstract

The widespread circulation of false information concerning drugs, supplements, and herbal remedies claiming to cure or prevent Influenza A (H3N2) on social media has become a serious legal and public health concern in Indonesia. The uncontrolled dissemination of such hoaxes not only misleads the public but also potentially endangers human health and undermines the credibility of legitimate medical institutions. Despite existing legal frameworks under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) and Health Law, the regulatory approach to health-related misinformation remains fragmented and reactive. This study aims to analysed and reconstruct the legal framework governing the dissemination of hoax information related to drugs, supplements, and herbal treatments for Influenza A (H3N2) through social media. Using a juridical-normative method combined with a conceptual and statutory approach, this research examines the intersection between criminal law, health law, and cyber law. Primary data sources include relevant legislation such as Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law), Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health, and related criminal provisions in the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP). The results indicate that current regulations are insufficient in addressing the complexity of digital misinformation in the health sector. The absence of specific provisions regarding health-related hoaxes causes interpretative ambiguity, weak enforcement, and limited deterrent effect. Therefore, a legal reconstruction is required—integrating clearer definitions, proportional sanctions, and preventive mechanisms under a unified legal framework. This reconstruction should emphasize three key aspects: (1) strengthening regulatory coordination between health and communication authorities, (2)establishing clear accountability for content creators and distributors, and (3) developing digital literacy and early detection systems for health misinformation. The study concludes that reconstructing hoax regulations within the context of health communication is crucial to achieving legal certainty, public protection, and national health security.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of soil tillage systems and planting spacing, along with their interaction, on the growth performance and productivity of lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.) variety IR64. The experiment was conducted in paddy fields using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) comprising two factors. The first factor, the soil tillage system, included three treatments: plowing (P1), tractor tillage (P2), and hoeing (P3). The second factor, planting spacing, consisted of three levels: 30×20 cm (J1), 30×30 cm (J2), and 30×40 cm (J3). Growth and yield parameters measured were plant height, number of tillers, leaf area, grain weight per clump, grain weight per plot, and estimated yield per hectare. The results revealed that the interaction between soil tillage systems and planting spacing significantly influenced the number of tillers, grain weight per clump, grain weight per plot, and grain yield per hectare, but had no significant effect on plant height and leaf area. The highest yield was achieved under the P2J2 combination (tractor tillage with 30×30 cm spacing), producing 600 g per 1 m² plot, equivalent to approximately 6 tons per hectare. These findings indicate that the combination of tractor tillage and moderate spacing enhances growth efficiency and yield potential in lowland rice (IR64 variety).
