Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the Indonesian economy. The existence of MSMEs contributes to regional economic development, particularly in efforts to encourage an increase in per capita income and income distribution in local areas. One of the most fundamental problems faced by MSMEs is their relatively low productivity, which is caused by the low quality of human resources, especially in the areas of management, organization, mastery of technology, and marketing, as well as the relatively low level of entrepreneurial competence compared to large enterprises. Digital marketing is the application of digital technology in marketing activities and the development or adjustment of marketing strategies by companies. The main focus of continuous efforts to improve individuals’ quality of life is the income generated by MSMEs in Indonesia, particularly in Perk. Bukit Lawang. The problems faced by MSMEs in Perk. Bukit Lawang include the low percentage of businesses utilizing digital marketing, which has not kept pace with the rapid development of the internet, and the lack of necessary skills among some MSME actors to implement digital marketing. Based on these issues, the purpose of this community service activity is to examine how digital marketing helps increase MSME sales revenue in Perk. Bukit Lawang, how digital applications are utilized to advertise products in an effort to increase MSME income, and how digital marketing affects overall sales revenue in Perk. Bukit Lawang.

Abstract

The low level of understanding among elementary school students regarding balanced nutrition is one of the factors that can influence children’s eating patterns and health status. This study aims to improve students’ understanding of the concept of balanced nutrition through Isi Piringku education for students of MI Nurul Huda in Dusun Slempit. The activity was carried out through several stages: initial observation to determine the students’ level of understanding, implementation of education using interactive lecture methods and visual media, educational games (coloring, cutting, and pasting Isi Piringku pictures), and evaluation to measure the improvement in students’ understanding. The results showed that prior to the education session, most students did not understand the composition of Isi Piringku and the importance of consuming vegetables and fruits in their daily diet. After the educational intervention, there was an improvement in understanding, as reflected in the students’ ability to re-explain the concept of Isi Piringku, answer questions more accurately, and demonstrate awareness of the importance of consuming balanced nutritious foods.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology requires vocational education institutions to produce graduates with competencies aligned with the needs of the workforce and the creative industry. One such competency is graphic design skills, particularly in creating logos and designing simple products such as clothing (T-shirts). However, graphic design instruction in Vocational High Schools (SMK) still faces limitations in terms of materials, methods, and professional software-based training. This community service activity aims to improve the competencies of eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 6 Kendari through graphic design training based on the CorelDRAW application. The implementation method included preparation, training, practical guidance, and evaluation using a questionnaire. The training focused on an introduction to basic graphic design, the use of CorelDRAW tools, creating simple logos, and applying logos to clothing designs (T-shirts). The results showed that of the 32 students participating in the training, more than 80% stated that the material was easy to understand and the modules were easy to apply. Furthermore, most students experienced improved skills in designing logos and applying them to clothing designs, both in terms of tool mastery, creativity, and visual composition. Thus, this CorelDRAW-based graphic design training provides a positive contribution to improving the competencies of vocational high school students, preparing them for the world of work and the creative industry.

Abstract

The use of natural ingredients as medicine has been practiced since ancient times as a means of maintaining health, preventing disease, and treating illness. Natural materials such as cinnamon contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids and polyphenols, which are believed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer properties. The purpose of this community service activity is to teach the community how to make cinnamon-based candy and tea that can be consumed by children and adolescents. The method used is material counseling followed by activity evaluation. The results of the evaluation of this community service activity showed that 92% of participants were satisfied with the material provided by the implementation team. This also shows that the educational material provided can give new information and benefits to the community. It is hoped that this activity can be applied by the community and that community service activities can be carried out regularly in the area to increase the local community's knowledge about the use of natural ingredients.

Abstract

Breast milk production during the postpartum period is a physiological phenomenon determined by the synergy of hormonal regulation, maternal psychological stability, and adequate nutritional intake. This community service activity (PkM) aimed to increase the use of katuk leaves as an effort to stimulate breast milk volume. The participants consisted of 12 postpartum mothers selected based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Breast milk production was measured based on observational results and mothers’ subjective reports. The implementation method used a pretest–posttest design. The results showed that before the intervention, 7 respondents (58.3%) experienced a decrease in breast milk production, and no respondents showed an increase. After being given katuk leaf intervention for a certain period, 5 participants (41.7%) experienced an increase in breast milk production, 4 participants (33.3%) experienced no change, and 3 participants (25.0%) experienced a decrease. The mean breast milk production score before the intervention was 2.58 (SD = 0.515) and decreased to 1.83 (SD = 0.835) after the intervention. These findings reinforce the role of katuk leaves as an effective lactagogue agent in stimulating increased breast milk volume in postpartum mothers and suggest that it can be used as a non-pharmacological alternative to support successful lactation.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to introduce a greenhouse-effect solar dryer (GESD) technology for chili postharvest processing in Kedungweru Village. The main issue faced by farmers was high postharvest losses due to unpredictable weather and conventional open sun-drying methods. The implementation included problem identification, technical training, field demonstrations, and participatory-based mentoring and monitoring. The results showed a 40–60% reduction in drying time compared to traditional sun drying, improved product quality in terms of color and hygiene, and increased selling prices by 25–35%. The activity enhanced community technical capacity in postharvest management, strengthened food resilience, and promoted village-based economic development through appropriate renewable energy technology. This model is replicable in other chili-producing regions with similar agroclimatic conditions.
