Abstract

Parents must prepare emotionally and psychologically to face pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting so that they can be more confident about their role as parents later. Parents' duties include providing exclusive breast milk, which has benefits for their baby's health, but there are still many mothers who experience failure in breastfeeding at the beginning of the birth of their first baby. This research aims to provide nursing care to postpartum mothers with nursing problems of readiness to become parents using a parenting promotion and attachment promotion approach (breastfeeding technique education) in the lotus room at RSUD Dr. Haryoto Lumajang. Data collection was used through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Research shows that if care promotion and attachment promotion (education on breastfeeding techniques) are carried out in accordance with the SDKI, SLKI and SIKI guidelines, nursing problems can be resolved, and the role of parents can improve. Actions to promote nurturing and promotion of breastfeeding attachment/attachment techniques are very important to help mothers find it easier to breastfeed their children because more information can increase parents' knowledge and skills, thus creating awareness to change behaviour according to their knowledge.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by the body being unable to release or use insulin adequately so that glucose levels in the blood are high. If this high blood glucose level lasts for a long time, there will be a disturbance in the alcohol metabolic pathway which results in increased sorbitol production so that various nursing problems arise, including ineffective peripheral perfusion. This study uses a case study method in the form of exposure to the results of applying the client's nursing care process in accordance with the theory, containing a discussion of nursing actions that occur in the field. This research was conducted on one client who experienced Diabetes mellitus for 4 visits starting from May 15, 2023, through data collection of interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation studies. The results of this study were obtained from the assessment, namely Ineffective Peripheral Perfusion in accordance with the theory, and diagnosis as in accordance with the client's condition, while the implementation refers to the interventions that have been set, and the evaluation refers to the general objectives and specific objectives that have been set in accordance with the theory.

Then, 30 pregnant women were taken as samples based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using observation sheet. Data analysis was conducted using a T-dependent test, and results were presented using frequency distribution. The average hemoglobin level of the control group before the administration of Fe tablets was 9.80 gr/dl, and after consumption of Fe tablets was 10.45 gr/dl. The average hemoglobin level of the intervention group before giving Fe tablets + red guava juice was 9.64 gr/dl, and after consuming Fe tablets + red guava juice, it was 11.37 gr/dl.
