Abstract

Environmental awareness about waste plays a very important role in the sustainability of the next life. How environmental awareness from an early age can understand waste management can be done with fun learning and of course according to the current generation of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Canva AI application "code for me" in introducing children to care for the environment related to waste management. This research has benefits for educators and parents in the use of interactive media in learning to recognize waste. This study uses a qualitative approach to case study design. The subjects of this study are children aged 5-6 years with a total of 9 girls and 5 boys in the B1 kindergarten group which is in the Pertiwi 45 Kalisegoro Kindergarten institution. The research was conducted during 3 meetings in May 2025. The design of this research has model stages according to Miles, Huberman and Saldana with 4 stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion withdrawal and verification. Data collection techniques use observations, interviews and documentation. The observation results showed that 85.71% of children were in the "good" to "very good" category in understanding and classifying waste. In addition, most children also show positive behavior in disposing of garbage in its place. Educators are advised to continue to develop digital technology-based media, by using more detailed coding, especially in contextual environment-themed learning. This research contributes to supporting the integration of AI technology in early childhood education and becomes a reference for the development of environment-based contextual learning models. ABSTRAK  Kesadaran akan lingkungan tentang sampah sangat berperan penting dalam keberlansungan kehidupan selanjutnya. Bagaimana kesadaran lingkungan sejak dini bisa memahami pengelolaan sampah dapat di lakukan dengan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan tentunya sesuai generasi kecerdasan buatan saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini memberikan gambaran penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) di aplikasi canva AI “code for me” dalam mengenalkan anak untuk peduli lingkungan yang berkaitan dengan pengeloaan sampah. Penelitian ini memiliki manfaat untuk pendidik dan orang tua dalam penggunaan media interaktif dalam pembelajaran pengenalan tentang sampah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi kasus. Subyek penelitian ini merupakan anak usia 5-6 tahun dengan sejumlah 9 anak perempuan dan 5 anak laki-laki di kelompok TK B1 yang berada di satuan lembaga TK Pertiwi 45 Kalisegoro. Penelitian di lakukan selama 3 kali pertemuan di bulan Mei 2025. Desain penelitian ini memiliki tahapan model menurut Miles, Huberman dan saldana dengan 4 tahap yaitu: pengumpulan data, Reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan serta verifikasi kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan obervasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa 85,71% anak berada pada kategori “baik” hingga “sangat baik” dalam memahami dan mengelompokkan sampah. Selain itu, sebagian besar anak juga menunjukkan perilaku positif dalam membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Pendidik disarankan untuk terus mengembangkan media berbasis teknologi digital, dengan menggunakan coding yang lebih detail terutama dalam pembelajaran bertema lingkungan yang kontekstual. Penelitian ini Berkontribusi mendukung integrasi teknologi AI dalam pendidikan anak usia dini serta menjadi rujukan pengembangan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis lingkungan.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an effort to provide equal education for all children, including children with special needs (CWSN), within the same educational system. This study aims to identify and analyze the strengthening of early childhood education (ECE) teacher competencies in supporting inclusive education in Indonesia. Based on a systematic review of 16 relevant articles, it was found that although many ECE teachers show a positive attitude toward inclusion, they feel professionally unprepared to face the challenges presented by CWSN. Limitations in relevant training and a lack of in-depth resources are the main obstacles in implementing inclusive education in ECE settings. However, community-based training, workshops, and mentoring have proven to enhance teachers' understanding and skills in managing inclusive classrooms. Additionally, collaboration with parents and other professionals, such as psychologists and therapists, is also an important factor in supporting the success of inclusive education. This study shows that strengthening teacher competencies through continuous and collaborative training can address existing challenges and improve the quality of inclusive education in ECE. The findings provide significant contributions to designing more effective policies to support inclusive education in Indonesia.   ABSTRAK Pendidikan inklusif merupakan upaya untuk memberikan pendidikan yang setara bagi semua anak, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), dalam satu sistem pendidikan yang sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis penguatan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam mendukung pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia. Berdasarkan tinjauan sistematis terhadap 16 artikel yang relevan, ditemukan bahwa meskipun banyak guru PAUD menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap inklusi, mereka merasa kurang siap secara profesional dalam menghadapi tantangan yang dihadapi ABK. Keterbatasan dalam pelatihan yang relevan dan kurangnya sumber daya mendalam menjadi hambatan utama dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusif di PAUD. Meskipun demikian, pelatihan berbasis komunitas, lokakarya, dan mentoring terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas inklusif. Selain itu, kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan tenaga profesional lainnya, seperti psikolog dan terapis, juga menjadi faktor penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis kolaborasi dapat mengatasi tantangan yang ada dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan inklusif di PAUD. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam merancang kebijakan yang lebih efektif untuk mendukung pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the ability to recognize the alphabet letters using alphabet building block learning media for children in Pertiwi Kindergarten, Sriwedari Village. The research was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method was conducted directly based on fieldwork results, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicated that the implementation of alphabet building block learning media is effective in developing letter recognition skills in early childhood. In addition to having a positive impact on the children, teachers also benefit from the use of letter building blocks as it makes the learning process more engaging, easier for children to understand, and more effective.   ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dalam mengenali huruf abjad dengan media pembelajaran bongkar pasang huruf abjad pada anak di TK Pertiwi Desa Sriwedari. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data secara langsung berdasarkan hasil kerja lapangan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian bahwa implementasi media pembelajaran bongkar pasang huruf abjad efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada anak usia dini. Selain berdampak positif pada anak, guru juga merasakan manfaat dari penggunaan media bongkar pasang huruf karena membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, mudah dipahami anak, dan berlangsung secara efektif.

Abstract

The Iqra method is known to be effective in introducing the hijaiyah letters to early childhood through an individual approach with teacher guidance using Iqra books and other supporting media. However, based on initial observations at PAUD Alam Cahaya Hasanah Banda Aceh, researchers found that teachers had obstacles in implementing the Iqra method so that children were less interest  ed in focusing on learning, children had difficulty pronouncing the letters. These obstacles were so that this study aimed to analyze the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the Iqra method. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The subjects of this study consisted of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers, school principals, and parents of students at one PAUD institution, PAUD Alam Cahaya Hasanah. Data collection techniques included observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The instruments used were observation guidelines, interview guides, and documentation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, which involved the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on emerging patterns and themes. The results of the study indicate that the main obstacles in implementing the Iqra method include the lack of teacher training tailored to the characteristics of early childhood learners, instructional methods that are not fully adapted to children’s cognitive and emotional development, limited availability of supporting learning media, and low parental involvement. It is recommended that the Iqra method be adapted to incorporate more interactive and play-based approaches, as well as efforts to enhance teacher capacity through specialized training.   ABSTRAK  Metode Iqra dikenal efektif dalam memperkenalkan huruf hijaiyah pada anak usia dini melalui pendekatan individual dengan bimbingan guru menggunakan buku Iqra dan media pendukung lainnya. Namun, berdasarkan observasi awal di PAUD Alam Cahaya Hasanah Banda Aceh peneliti menemukan bahwasanya guru memiliki kendala dalam menerapkan metode Iqra’ sehingga anak-anak kurang minat fokus dalam pembelajaran, anak-anak kesulitan dalam melafalkan huruf hijaiyah. Dari kendala itu tadi sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan metode iqra’.  Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru PAUD, kepala sekolah, dan orang tua peserta didik di salah satu lembaga PAUD Alam Cahaya Hasanah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik, yang mencakup proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan pola-pola dan tema yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala utama dalam penerapan metode Iqra antara lain kurangnya pelatihan guru yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini, metode penyampaian yang belum sepenuhnya adaptif terhadap perkembangan kognitif dan emosional anak, keterbatasan media pembelajaran pendukung, serta rendahnya keterlibatan orang tua. Disarankan agar metode Iqra disesuaikan dengan pendekatan yang lebih interaktif dan berbasis bermain, serta perlunya peningkatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan khusus.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social development of 5-year-old children through naturalistic observation methods in the context of early childhood education. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of children's social behavior in three different settings: home, school, and a recreational environment. The research subjects consisted of three 5-year-old children who were observed directly without intervention. Data were collected through anecdotal records, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that each child demonstrated varying levels of social readiness when interacting with their surroundings. Emotional support from adults and previous experiences influenced their initiative to build social relationships. These findings suggest that naturalistic observation is an effective assessment method for understanding children's social interactions authentically and serves as a valuable basis for planning appropriate social stimulation. This study contributes to the development of context-based formative assessments to comprehensively evaluate early childhood social development. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perkembangan sosial anak usia 5 tahun melalui metode observasi naturalistik dalam konteks pendidikan anak usia dini. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai perilaku sosial anak di tiga lingkungan berbeda, yaitu rumah, sekolah, dan tempat wisata. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga anak berusia 5 tahun yang diamati secara langsung tanpa intervensi. Data dikumpulkan melalui catatan anekdot, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap anak memiliki tingkat kesiapan sosial yang berbeda dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Dukungan emosional dari orang dewasa dan pengalaman sebelumnya memengaruhi inisiatif anak dalam menjalin hubungan sosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa observasi naturalistik merupakan metode asesmen yang efektif untuk memahami proses interaksi sosial anak secara autentik, serta menjadi dasar penting bagi perencanaan stimulasi sosial yang sesuai. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan asesmen formatif berbasis konteks nyata untuk menilai perkembangan sosial anak usia dini secara komprehensif.

Abstract

This study aims to apply creative visual media for children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Kana as an interactive and educational learning tool to improve the quality of early childhood learning. It also observes how children respond to visual-based learning, especially in their engagement and understanding of the material. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method to describe in detail the situations that occur in the field. The results show that the use of creative visual media, such as educational murals and interactive posters, gave positive responses from the children at PAUD Kana. They became more active and enthusiastic in learning activities and showed better creativity and imagination in their daily routines. The use of visual media also helped create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and encouraged better interaction between teachers and children. This practice is expected to be a reference for other early childhood education institutions to develop similar visual media for more engaging and interactive learning.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan media visual kreatif pada anak anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD Kana sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran yang interaktif dan edukatif guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran anak usia dini serta melihat bagaimana anak-anak merespons pembelajaran yang disampaikan secara visual khususnya dalam hal keterlibatan anak dan pemahaman materi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan secara mendalam fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual kreatif berupa mural edukatif dan poster interaktif menimbulkan respons positif dari anak-anak di PAUD Kana. Anak-anak terlihat lebih aktif dan antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan belajar, serta menunjukkan peningkatan kreativitas dan imajinasi dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Penerapan media visual di PAUD Kana juga mendukung terciptanya suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan mendorong interaksi yang lebih baik antara guru dan anak.Penerapan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini lainnya dalam mengembangkan media visual yang serupa untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif.

Abstract

Character education is an important aspect of the educational process which aims to shape individual personality and morals. In the context of human and societal development, character education has a very crucial role. Moral and ethical education is one of the efforts in forming children's character. The research method used in this research is field research, which collects data directly from the research location.  Then using a descriptive qualitative research type, this research shows the results that moral and ethical education such as moral stories, role playing, small group discussions, collaborative projects, instilling positive habits, appreciation for positive behavior, and collaboration with parents can help shape children's character from an early age. early, brings long-term benefits in forming individuals with integrity, responsibility and care for other people and their environment. This is proven by the differences in children's characters before the child enters RA Amanah Ummah and after the child graduates from RA Amanah Ummah.   ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam proses pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk membentuk kepribadian dan moral individu. Dalam konteks perkembangan manusia dan masyarakat, pendidikan karakter memiliki peran yang sangat krusial. Pendidikan moral dan etika adalah salah satu upaya dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Metode penelitian  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  penelitian lapangan  (field  research) yang  dalam mengumpulkan  datanya  dilakukan  secara  langsung  dari  lokasi  penelitian.  Kemudian  menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa pendidikan moral dan etika seperti cerita moral, permainan peran, diskusi kelompok kecil, proyek kolaboratif, penanaman kebiasaan positf, penghargaan atas perilaku positif, dan kerjasama dengan orang tua dapat membantu membentuk karakter anak sejak usia dini, membawa manfaat jangka panjang dalam membentuk individu yang berintegritas, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli terhadap orang lain dan lingkungannya. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya perbedaan karakter anak ketika sebelum anak masuk di RA Amanah Ummah dan setelah anak lulus dari RA Amanah Ummah.

Abstract

The High Scope learning model is an approach that emphasizes active learning in early childhood, where they are directly involved in exploration, interaction, and decision-making. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the High Scope model in supporting early childhood development in various aspects, including cognitive, social, emotional, and motoric. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources related to the implementation of this model. The results of the study indicate that High Scope, through the Plan-Do-Review strategy, can improve children's independence, critical thinking skills, and social abilities. In addition, long-term research reveals that this model has a positive impact on academic success, job opportunities, and individual well-being in the future. The main advantage of this approach is its flexibility, which allows adaptation to various cultures and local needs without changing its basic principles. The contribution of this study is to provide deeper insight into the implementation of the High Scope model and its relevance in the early childhood education system in Indonesia. By actively involving children, teachers, and parents in the learning process, this model is able to create a conducive learning environment for the development of children's skills and character from an early age.   ABSTRAK  Model pembelajaran High Scope merupakan pendekatan yang menekankan pembelajaran aktif pada anak usia dini, di mana mereka terlibat langsung dalam eksplorasi, interaksi, serta pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model High Scope dalam mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini di berbagai aspek, termasuk kognitif, sosial, emosional, dan motorik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber terkait implementasi model ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa High Scope, melalui strategi Plan-Do-Review, dapat meningkatkan kemandirian, keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta kemampuan sosial anak. Selain itu, penelitian jangka panjang mengungkapkan bahwa model ini berdampak positif terhadap keberhasilan akademik, peluang kerja, serta kesejahteraan individu di masa depan. Keunggulan utama dari pendekatan ini adalah fleksibilitasnya, yang memungkinkan adaptasi dengan berbagai budaya dan kebutuhan lokal tanpa mengubah prinsip dasarnya. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan wawasan lebih dalam mengenai implementasi model High Scope serta relevansinya dalam sistem pendidikan anak usia dini di Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of learning styles (kinesthetic, visual, and auditory) and gender on early childhood counting skills at Inpres Mannurukki Kindergarten, TKIT At-Tibyan, and Bone Kindergarten. The research method used was quantitative with an experimental design. The sample consisted of 45 students, with 17 male students and 28 female students, who were divided based on the learning styles applied. Data were collected through measurement of children's counting skills and analysed using descriptive statistical test, normality test, Levene test, and Two-Way ANOVA test. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the mean scores of the counting skills of male and female students varied depending on the learning style applied. Kinesthetic learning style gives good results for students who are actively moving, visual learning style is more effective with the use of digital media, and auditory learning style shows good results with the use of songs and rhythms. The Two-Way ANOVA test showed that there was no significant difference between learning styles on children's numeracy skills, but there was a significant difference between gender and the interaction between learning styles and gender. Boys excel in auditory and kinesthetic learning styles, while girls excel in visual learning styles. This study concludes that learning that is tailored to learning styles and gender characteristics can improve early childhood numeracy comprehension. The implication of this research is the need for a differentiated learning approach according to children's needs to maximise learning outcomes.

Abstract

Early childhood education includes children from birth to six years of age. The goal is to optimize all the child’s potential during their growth and development. One way to help early children learn to tell stories is to use picture story books. The medium of picture storybooks will be very easy to understand for children because it uses simple language and colorful pictures. The study investigated the ability of children aged five to six to tell stories using picture storybooks. The purpose of this study was to find out whether picture storybooks used by children aged 5-6 years in Madina Luhur Surabaya Kindergarten affect their ability to tell stories. This study uses a quantitative approach and uses the One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample used in this study was twenty children between the ages of five and six years old at Madina Luhur Kindergarten Surabaya. Tests, observations, and documentation are the methods of data collection used. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test with SPSS version 25 calculation. The results showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) was (0.000) with a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, so Ho is rejected. In Madina Luhur Kindergarten Surabaya, the storytelling ability of children aged 5-6 years is influenced by the medium of picture storybooks. ABSTRAK Pendidikan untuk anak-anak kecil meliputi usia dari lahir sampai enam tahun, dengan tujuan untuk memaksimalkan semua potensi anak selama masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan mereka. Salah satu metode yang dapat mendukung anak kecil dalam belajar bercerita adalah melalui penggunaan buku cerita yang memiliki ilustrasi. Buku cerita bergambar sangat mudah dimengerti oleh anak-anak, sebab menggunakan bahasa yang sederhana serta gambar yang menarik dan berwarnaPenelitian ini mengeksplorasi kemampuan bercerita anak-anak berumur lima hingga enam tahun dengan menggunakan buku cerita bergambar. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menentukan apakah penggunaan buku cerita bergambar oleh anak-anak berusia 5-6 tahun di TK Madina Luhur Surabaya berpengaruh pada kemampuan bercerita mereka. Studi ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dan memanfaatkan desain riset One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sebanyak dua puluh anak yang berusia lima sampai enam tahun di TK Madina Luhur Surabaya menjadi sampel untuk penelitian ini. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t dan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) adalah (0,000) dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Dengan demikian, nilai 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05, yang mengakibatkan Ho ditolak. Di TK Madina Luhur Surabaya, kemampuan bercerita pada anak usia 5-6 tahun dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar.
