Abstract

Law Number 21 of 2007 highlights women and children as vulnerable groups in the crime of human trafficking (TPPO), which includes sexual exploitation, forced labor, and slavery, with perpetrators utilizing threats, violence, or fraud. The impacts are multidimensional, including physical, psychological, and socio-economic, so that restitution is presented as a mechanism for victim recovery through material and immaterial compensation. However, its implementation in Indonesia still faces obstacles, especially the lack of court attention to victims' rights, although the role of restitution is recognized as important to improve legal protection and encourage justice that is more in favor of victim recovery. This study uses a qualitative method that aims to understand the phenomenon as a whole based on the subject's experience, such as behavior, perception, motivation, and actions. The results of this study Human trafficking is a serious crime that causes physical, psychological, and economic losses to victims. Restitution, regulated in Law Number 21 of 2007 and related regulations, serves to restore victims' rights and ensure that perpetrators are held accountable. Involving LPSK, prosecutors, and courts, this mechanism not only compensates for material losses but also restores the dignity of victims, presenting justice that is more in favor of victim recovery in the criminal justice system.

Abstract

Various types of food products have good and bad effects on human health. One type of food that provides positive benefits is functional food. Functional foods are foods or beverages that are not only consumed to fulfill nutritional needs, but also provide good effects on the body's health and help reduce the risk of serious diseases. An example of functional food is probiotic drinks, which are known to support digestive health and strengthen the immune system. The content of probiotic drinks has a good impact on digestion and is able to inhibit α-glucosidase, so it is good to be consumed as a supplement for type 2 diabetes patients. The research focused on testing the potential of probiotics derived from commercial products on α-glucosidase enzyme activity. This type of research is laboratory experimental research with In Vitro method. The samples in this study are beverage samples with various types of brands containing probiotic milk that will be tested. The results showed that of the 8 probiotic isolates isolated from commercial products L-Bio, Yakult, Biokul and Max biotic have tolerance to acid and bile salt. Probiotic isolates in this study did not show antimicrobial activity. Screening of probiotics from commercial products with the most potential as α-glucosidase inhibitors was yakult.

Abstract

The use and abuse of drugs, especially by children, causes harm to individuals and society. Child drug abusers are considered self-victimizing victims, as they become victims of their own actions. The problem that often occurs in Indonesia is that drug cases in children are not given legal protection and many of these cases children are actually given sentences in prison. Therefore, the concept of punishment for drug addicted children through restorative justice is needed. Punishment can be carried out through a double track system if the conditions of restorative justice are not met. Article 127 of the Narcotics Law provides guidance to consider medical and social rehabilitation for child drug abusers. The application of criminal sanctions against child drug abusers needs to consider the rehabilitation aspect as the main alternative, considering the child as a victim who is not fully responsible for his actions. This research uses normative and doctrinal juridical research methods that focus on analyzing legal regulations, legal documents, and legal theories. The results of the research show that although there are regulations governing rehabilitation, its implementation still faces obstacles, such as the dominance of prison sentences for children who abuse drugs. The criminal justice process for children who abuse drugs has not fulfilled children's rights, which include protection, assistance, and guidance that takes into account the best interests of the child. The best interests of child victims of narcotics crime should be carried out through the provision of rehabilitation criminal sanctions. Therefore, legal protection of child drug abusers needs to be improved through a more effective and in-depth rehabilitation approach, as well as collective awareness to involve all parties in protecting children as the nation's assets.

Abstract

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the leading causes of sick leave and disability in many countries. Cashier jobs have a high risk of MSDs due to static work postures and repetitive movements. Several studies have identified ergonomic risk factors in cashier workers but studies using CMDQ and REBA in analyzing the risk of MSDs in workers are still limited. This study aims to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors causing MSDs in cashier workers and identify the relationship of individual and occupational factors to MSDs complaints. This study involved 114 self-service cashier workers aged 18-55 years. Data were collected through the completion of demographic questionnaires, CMDQ forms and work posture analysis using REBA. REBA results show that 1.8% of workers have low risk, 77.2% of workers have work postures with moderate risk levels, 18.4% of workers have high risk, and 2.6% have very high risk so that further investigation and changes to posture are needed. Results from the CMDQ showed that the highest prevalence of pain was in the right leg (86.8%), left leg (84.2%), and lower back (76.3%). Significant risk factors included age (p = 2.781 x 10-8), length of service (p = 6.66 x 10-11), body mass index (p = 1.47 x 10-7), gender (p = 0.005), and work posture measured using REBA (p = 2.2 x 10-16). Kendall-Tau test also showed a positive relationship between these variables and MSDs complaints. This study shows that cashier workers with high work posture risk have a greater prevalence of MSDs. Multiple linear regression tests showed that the dominant factors causing MSDs complaints in cashier workers were posture and workstation height. Ergonomic recommendations are needed to reduce the risk of MSDs, especially for workers with high risk levels.

Abstract

Waste frequently occurs in construction projects, encompassing both material and non-material waste. This study aims to analyze the waste generated during rebar work, specifically focusing on the detailed activities of measuring and cutting rebar, using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) approach. The research was conducted at a rebar fabrication facility for a 14-story high-rise building project in Surabaya. VSM was employed to visualize work processes by identifying specific activities in rebar operations, allowing for precise identification of waste. Primary data were collected through direct field observations, while secondary data were obtained from project documents. The findings revealed 11 detailed activities in the measuring process and another 11 in the cutting process. Among these activities, the largest types of waste identified were waiting (10 points), unnecessary motion (6 points), and defects (3 points), totaling 22 waste-related activities. Identifying waste-generating activities and their types in construction work facilitates improved work process efficiency, reduced operational costs, and optimized resource utilization. Furthermore, this also supports enhanced productivity, better work quality, and environmental sustainability by minimizing construction waste.
