Abstract

Effective supervision focuses not only on supervision, but also on developing nurses' skills and knowledge. Structured coaching can also create a positive work environment, where nurses feel more involved and motivated to provide the best service to patients. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effect of supervision and coaching on nurse performance. The type of research used is quantitative correlation analysis research with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were 360 nurses at a private hospital in Jakarta. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling and the sample calculation formula used Slovin, so that a sample of 190 respondents was obtained. The data collection tool used a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions about supervision, coaching and performance. The statistical analysis used was multiple logistic regression. The results of the study showed that the majority of nurses (65.8%) did not receive programmed supervision. Most nurses (64.2%) reported that the coaching they received was still less than optimal. The majority of nurses (64.7%) had high performance, but there were still 35.3% who had low performance. Supervision has the greatest influence on nurse performance (p value 0.001). Coaching also has an effect, but its effect is smaller than supervision p value 0.005. The practical implication is that increasing more programmed supervision and more effective coaching can significantly improve nurse performance.

Abstract

Forensic science plays an important role in Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), especially when primary identification methods such as fingerprint analysis, forensic odontology, and DNA profiling cannot be performed. In disaster victims whose body parts are dismembered, the parts need to be reassembled. One body part that is commonly separated is the foot, which is often protected in footwear such as shoes. By predicting height using foot length measurements, it is expected that forensic officers can reassemble the separated body parts based on the predicted height calculation. This study examines the correlation between foot length and height to establish a reliable regression formula for height estimation. Data were analyzed using SPSS 26 with normality tests, correlation analysis, and linear regression. The study results showed a statistically significant positive correlation between foot length and height (Pearson correlation: 0.821– 0.844), confirming that foot length is a strong predictor of height. The regression model (Height = 61.652 + 0.429 × Foot Length) explains 83.9% of the height variation, making it a valuable tool in forensic anthropology. This method can assist in victim identification, especially in mass disasters, dismemberment murder cases, and other forensic cases. Further research with larger and more diverse samples, including gender-specific models, is recommended to improve the accuracy and application of this regression formula.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural process that requires special attention to ensure the health of the mother and fetus. Antenatal care is very important to monitor the condition of the pregnancy and detect complications that may occur early. Prolonged labor is a term for labor that lasts longer than 24 hours in primi and more than eighteen hours in multi. The postpartum period is characterized as a very vulnerable phase because of the many risks that may arise during this period, including conditions such as anemia, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum depression, and postpartum infection. This study is a quantitative analysis, which examines the relationship between dependent and independent variables using a cross-sectional approach. Cross-sectional research is a study where the study measures independent and dependent variable data only once at a time. The results of the study based on the chi-square statistical test obtained a value of ρ = 0.000 (ρ <0.05) for Long Labor, a value of ρ = 0.001 (ρ <0.05) for History of illness during pregnancy. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between Long Labor and History of Illness during Pregnancy with the occurrence of complications during the postpartum period in the work area of the Bahomotefe Health Center UPTD, Morowali Regency.

Abstract

Workplace accidents that affect employees' safety and health continue to be a major problem in the construction industry.  The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in relation to workplace accidents and to develop strategies for risk management that can be implemented in the workplace.  By examining pertinent national and international scientific publications that were published between 2020 and 2025 and that could be found using the Google Scholar and PubMed databases, the research methodology employs a literature review technique.  Strict inclusion and exclusion criteria are used in the PRISMA flow for literature selection.  The study's findings demonstrate that human factors such as workers' age, discipline, attitude, and degree of knowledge are the primary determinants of PPE use compliance. Furthermore, the availability of ergonomic personal protective equipment (PPE), management assistance, and aspects of the work environment all contribute to a decrease in workplace accidents. Consistent K3 supervision, regular education and training, K3 sign installation, APAR provision, and worker participation in periodic inspections are all examples of effective risk control measures. It has been demonstrated that establishing a safety culture via the application of SOPs and efficient risk communication improves PPE use compliance. In conclusion, the number of work accidents in the construction industry can be considerably decreased by using PPE in a disciplined manner and with the help of an ongoing monitoring and education program. To establish a safe and healthy work environment, management, employees, and regulators must work together.
