Abstract

This study aims to observe activities, learning outcomes and describe students' responses to blended learning on the concept of reaction rate. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 29 USK Chemistry Education students who programmed the Basic Chemistry II course in class 02 of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observations and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning outcomes test questions, student activity observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of observation of student activities are categorized as very good, learning outcomes are included in the good category with a score of 73.7. The application of blended learning received positive responses (71.7%). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of blended learning on the reaction rate material had a positive impact on learning activities and outcomes and received good responses from students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran model CIRC dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi koloid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain The Randomized Control Group Pretest Posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas XI SMA Negeri 12 BandaAceh tahun pelajaran 2012. Teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan tes awal pada seluruh siswa kelas XI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes awal, tes akhir untuk hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikirkritis, lembar observasi, dan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran model CIRC. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan statistika uji t untuk pengujian kesamaan dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata N-gain hasil belajar untuk kelompok eksperimen 0,54 dan 0,34 untuk kelompok kontrol, keterampilan berpikir kritis 0,57 untuk kelompok eksperimen dan 0,25 untuk kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji t untuk N-gain terhadap hasil belajar diperoleh 0,007 lebih besar dari 0,005, sehingga ada perbedaan secara signifikan antara kedua kelompok tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model CIRC dapat meningkatkan hasil belajardan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Di samping itu, siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran model CIRC.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study aims to determine the activities of students and teacher as well as the ability to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of team teaching method in the concept of chemical bonds. The subjects were 32 students of class X-1 SMAN 9 Tunas Bangsa Banda Aceh consisting of 18 female and 14 male. The data was collected through observation of students’ activity and teacher’s activity in implementing team teaching methods as well as providing a test at the end of the meeting. Data obtained from the observation suggests that the activity of students at each meeting (1st, 2nd and 3rd) increase significantly at 66.07%, 76.79% and 87.5%. Based on the observation, the ability of teachers in the implementation of team teaching increased from 73.44% in first meeting to 81.25% in the second meeting and 90.63% in the third meeting. Learning outcomes of students also increased as follows 62.5% (1st meeting), 81.25% (2nd meeting) and 93.75% (3rd meeting). Based on the results of study, it is can be concluded that the implementation of team teaching method can improve learning outcomes as well as student activity and the ability of teachers to implementing instructional material in the chemical bonds at SMAN 9 Tunas Bangsa Banda Aceh

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa, (2) mengetahui kualitas modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan penilaian guru kimia SMA/MA, (3) mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa untuk SMA/MA kelas X, dan  (4) mengetahui keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan observasi pada uji coba. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan angket. Subjek coba penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dan peserta didik SMA/MA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 3D, yaitu tahap define, design, dan develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul chemondroid mendapat kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian guru dengan persentase keidealan masing-masing 81,82%. Selain itu berdasarkan respon peserta didik 86,67% dan observasi keterlaksanaan mendapat persentase sebesar 94,17%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the activities of students, the completeness of student learning outcomes, and student responses to the 7E learning cycle learning model on the reaction rate material. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The sample in this study was 28 students of class XI MIA-3 at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The instruments used in this study were student activity observation sheets, test question sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. The overall activity of students increase from time to time. The results of observing student activities in the seven stages of the 7E learning cycle model obtained an average of 87.63% of student activity at the elicit stage, 91.75% engage stage, 94.38% explore stage, 83.38% explain stage. , elaborate stage 70.88%, evaluate stage 79.13%, and extend stage 87.13%. The highest activity is at the explore stage. The average percentage of classical student learning outcomes is 75% with a good category. Positive responses from students were obtained by 80.77%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of the 7E learning cycle model can complete the classical learning of students. Overall student activity has increased and the highest activity is in the explore stage and students give good responses to the application of the 7E learning cycle learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran program simulasi ekstraksi pelarut dan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada logam lantanida menggunakan ekstraktan 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone berbasis Microsoft Excel, serta menguji kelayakan dan tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap media yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RD), dengan tujuh langkah yaitu; (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, (6) uji coba produk, dan (7) revisi produk. Instrumen penilaian terdiri dari angket kelayakan media, angket tanggapan mahasiswa dan angket system usability scale (SUS). Penelitian dilakukan kepada 25 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Media yang diuji coba kepada mahasiswa telah divalidasi oleh validator dengan persen kelayakan sebesar 85,00% dan kategori sangat layak. Respons mahasiswa terhadap media ini sangat baik dengan rata-rata 88,35%, dan skor SUS yang didapat sebesar 85,30 dengan kategori dapat diterima, artinya program simulasi berbasis Microsoft Excel ini dapat digunakan untuk mensimulasi praktikum mengenai ekstraksi pelarut dan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada logam lantanida menggunakan ekstraktan 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone.

Abstract

Metode mengajar sangat berperan dalam proses belajar mengajar, apapun pendekatan dan model yang digunakandalam mengajar , maka harus didukung oleh metode mengajar. Dalam kegiatan mengajar makin tepat metode yangdigunakan, maka makin efektif dan efesien kegiatan pembelajaran yang pada akhirnya akan menunjang danmengantarkan keberhasilan belajar mengajar yang dilakukan oleh guru atau dosen. Metode dalam mengajar berperansebagai alat untuk menciptakan proses mengajar dan belajar. Telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap penerapan metodepenugasan dan tanya jawab dalam mengajar konsep sifat koligatif larutan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untukmengetahui: ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar Mahasiswa pada konsep sifat koligatif larutan yang diajarkandengan metode penugasan dan metode tanya jawab. Dengan penerapan metode tersebut diharapkan dapat diketahuimetode yang mana terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Uji t digunakan untuk membandingkan hasil belajarMahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan metode Penugasan dan metode tanya jawab, Hasil analisis data hasil ujianmahasiswa diperoleh thitung sebesar 0,276 dan ttabel pada α 0,05 sebesar 2,021, karena thitung lebih kecil dari ttabelmaka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan, tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa untukmata kuliah kimia dasar yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode penugasan dan metode tanya jawab.

Abstract

Most of the materials in chemical bond are abstract concepts such as ions, ionic radii and orbital. Concepts are considerably difficult to be studied by students who have not had formal thinking ability. This difficulty may be caused error concept, namely the concept of student understanding is different from the agreement by experts. One source of error is the concept of the textbooks used in the learning process. Inproper emplanation or inadequate chemical bonds in the material in the books or high school chemistry teaching materials can lead to errors in sudent. The remedial concept using materials that have been corrected his mistakes and shortcomings plus can reduce errors that occur in students' concept.

Abstract

Corona virus disease/COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 and has become a pandemic. COVID-19 can be prevented by efforts such as physical distancing, washing hands, using masks and self-isolation as well as regional isolation. Moringa is a plant that can be used both as food and medicine. The purpose of this study was to observe the activity of Moringa leaf compounds in inhibiting Mpro (main protease) SARS-CoV-2. Moringa leaf compounds tested were Gamma tocopherol, Benzyl glucosinolate and Chlorogenic acid. The compound was taken from pubchem, while Mpro SARS-CoV-2 (receptor) was obtained from the world protein bank with the PDB code 6W63. This research was conducted using the In Silico method and AutoDock Vina software was used for the tethering process. The results of gridbox optimization by re-tethering control ligands obtained RMSD results of 0.122 . The results showed free energy Gibbs (ΔG) Gamma tocopherol (-6.8 kcal/mol), Benzyl glucosinolat (-6.6 kcal/mol), and Chlorogenic acid (-7.0 kcal/mol) which indicated a stable inhibitory reaction of Moringa leaf compounds against Mpro SARS-CoV-2. Based on Lipinski's rules, the compounds from Moringa leaves tested were qualified to be used as herbal medicines to be used orally.

Abstract

Ablution is a ritual activity that is quite important in the implementation of prayer. The amount of waste water produced by Ablution activities is large and the reserves are abundant. It is estimated that in one month a mosque with 4325 visitors per week who performs ablution produces 86.5 m3/person/month of ablution waste. This potential waste can be used for various purposes such as watering plants, or aquaculture, and as a pico hydro power plant. The Pico hydro power plant is a term used for hydroelectric power generation capacities below 5 KVA or even smaller, ranging from 200-300 VA. Pico hydro can be generated from a turbine, which is rotated by the natural water flow at a minimum of one meter inclination, the power generated is not too large and is suitable for simple electrical equipment. Ablution waste has the potential to be developed as a pico hydro power plant.
