Abstract

The use of media in learning mathematics for early childhood is a virtue that aims to make it easier for children to understand concepts while at the same time attracting children to participate. For ECE teachers the provision and use of media in learning is a common thing, it has even become their mandatory routine. However, for parents the strategy of using media in learning mathematics for early childhood is something they do not fully understand. Especially during difficult conditions where parents are the main responsible for the success of learning carried out at home during the pandemic. This study aims to describe parents' perceptions of strategies for using media in early childhood mathematics learning when learning from home during a pandemic. This study used a quantitative approach in the nature of survey research by distributing questionnaires to 52 parents at Al-Hidayah Terentang Baru Kindergarten, Bathin District, Batanghari Regency. Obtaining data based on questionnaire answers was then analyzed descriptively quantitatively in the form of a histogram and interpretation was carried out and the percentage was measured. The results show that 88% of parents perceive that the strategy of using media in learning mathematics, especially during BDR/Learn From Home, is very important because it facilitates the process of absorbing subject matter as well as being fun for children. This process of course also requires coordination and collaboration between parents and teachers in the Education Unit. Therefore, it can be concluded that the understanding of parents, especially in Al-Hidayah Kindergarten in Terentang Baru Village, on the importance of optimizing the quality of learning through strategies for using media in learning mathematics for early childhood during the pandemic is quite good.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on students' social character. Cultural organizations can play an important role in shaping the social character of individuals, including students in educational settings. Strong social character in students not only influences their interpersonal relationships, but also forms a solid foundation for their future lives. This study uses a qualitative approach in collecting data. Meanwhile, qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and school administration staff who were selected purposively. The results of the study show that positive and inclusive cultural organizations have a significant influence on students' social character. Schools that encourage cooperation, mutual respect, and caring among students tend to produce students who are more empathetic, outgoing, and responsible. In addition, the role of teachers and school administrative staff has also proven to be very important in shaping the social character of students. Teachers who are good role models, provide positive guidance, and create safe and inclusive environments can have a positive impact on the social character of students. Likewise, school administration staff who build a positive and supportive school climate make a significant contribution to the development of students' social character. Based on these findings, the recommendation to increase the influence of organizational culture on students' social character is to encourage schools to adopt and strengthen an organizational culture that is inclusive, mutually protective, and oriented to social interests.

Abstract

The development of science and technology increasingly encourages renewal efforts in the learning process. Research on developing e-books as teaching materials for pteridophyta materials aims to develop e-books as teaching materials for Pteridophyta materials and to improve students' mastery of concepts. The method used is research and development (R&D) with ADDIE design (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research was conducted from January to July 2020. The population and sample in this study were 36 students of MAN 1 Bogor Regency class X IPA 3 academic year 2019/2020. The implementation of field trials was limited to the cba test with aresearch one-group pretest-posttestdesign. The results showed that: 1) The results of the validation of the feasibility of teaching materials by two experts showed valid criteria without revision with an achievement level of 89% from media experts and v96% from material experts. 2) The developed teaching materials can improve the students' mastery of concepts with an average N-gain value of 0.8 (high). 3) The developed teaching materials received a very good response from teachers and students, with the achievements developed received a very good response from teachers and students with the value obtained from the teacher's response of 87% and from student responses of 90%. Abstract

This article is useful to recognize how maximal learning using software-based tools (canva) and increase the knowledge of students at SD IT Masjid Raya Lantai Batu. Covid 19 requires schools to implement online-style learning as a result requiring elementary students to utilize digital applications to be a sense to help students in using presentation frames, concept maps, placards, and others. Activity applications using the Canva application can be directly applied and practiced in elementary schools because the application is cheap and also attractive. Canva is software that can be used by teachers to create interesting teaching materials. The purpose of this activity is to improve teachers' ability to be creative in shaping teaching materials using the canva application. The results of making learning videos using the canva application for class v SD IT Masjid Raya Batu Floor gave many positive effects, this can be shown from the results of making learning videos using the Canva application and none of the students gave a negative impression. Abstract

To foster the spirit of learning in 5th graders at SD 22 Baringin towards science subjects (Natural Sciences), educators are expected to be able to create a media, so that teaching and learning activities are easy to understand, interesting, and easily absorbed by students. Especially now, various countries including Indonesia are being hit by COVID-19. Of course, this has forced the government, as well as schools, to stop all activities in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. This epidemic is certainly very influential on education, where teaching and learning activities that were originally carried out face-to-face, are now turning into online learning (in the network), namely learning without face-to-face, which is carried out from home. With these circumstances, of course, make students and teachers have difficulty in teaching and learning activities. Therefore, educators are asked to be creative in designing all things related to learning activities, namely by making a good media in the form of videos, posters, animated images and others. To create interesting learning media, educators can take advantage of the kinemaster application. This application can provide convenience for all of us in video editing, especially for educators. Kinemaster is an application that provides a complete range of features and effects, this application is also free and easily accessible to many people, no wonder many people use this application to make interesting learning videos.

Abstract

This research is a development of previous research entitled Kinemaster Pro V4 application development which is the same application with only a slight difference in appearance. This application is on an Android cellphone so it is easy to use. Islamic religious education as the material used in this study and fifth grade students of SDN Ngadirejo 1 Blitar City on PAI material. The development of learning videos was carried out as a solution to the difficulties of learning PAI and the lack of use of learning media to assist teachers in the PAI learning process. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collection instrument was a validation sheet given to three validators. The data analysis technique is by calculating the validation assessment score using the average score validity index (r). The results showed that the Kinemaster Diamond-based learning video on PAI material in class V SDN Ngadirejo 1 developed met the valid criteria from the validated aspects including video display aspects (graphics), program aspects, learning aspects, and curriculum aspects with a validity index of 3.80. Abstract

Education is a human need that must always develop according to time. The rapid development in the world of education and technology is a benchmark for the quality of increasing the achievement and motivation of higher education students in Indonesia. Therefore, to improve achievement and motivation to learn, the strategy taken is to make changes in terms of learning which is usually too menotonous now no longer, so as a lecturer must be able to create creative teaching strategies so as to improve the achievement and motivation of college students to learn even better, the strategy is to stop changing the way of learning that has been usually too monotonous. Therefore, as a lecturer must be able to develop creative teaching strategies to be able to improve student learning achievement and strengthen motivation, with a more interesting and fun learning strategy so that students are more enthusiastic about learning. The purpose of this study was to determine creative teaching strategies to improve the achievement and motivation of college students in Indonesia. This research method uses quantitative research methods, where the data is obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires online. The results showed that creative teaching strategies were able to improve student achievement and motivation. From this research, it can be concluded that the application of creative teaching strategies which aims to improve student achievement and motivation to learn has proven to be effective. The limitation of this study is that researchers can only conduct research on teaching strategies when there are many more strategies that can increase student creativity and motivation. The researcher hopes that future researchers can conduct research related to teaching strategies to increase student creativity and learning motivation but by using other strategies. This study also recommends that future researchers make this research a reference in conducting research on improving student creativity and motivation through teaching strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of mathematical reasoning ability through the discovery learning model for students in one of the junior high schools in Karawang Regency. This research used quantitative approach with quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted on junior high school students in grade VIII with purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIII C received a direct learning model and class VIII E received a discovery learning model. Each class amounted to 35 out of 432 students in class VIII. The research results were processed using the Mann-Whitney test. Based on the data processing, it was found that there was an achievement and improvement in mathematical reasoning ability of students who obtained discovery learning model better than direct learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the effect of resilience on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The research method used for this study was survey research at SMP TRAMPIL in 2020 – 2021. The sample used was 30 students consisting of class VIII with the data collection technique using simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and test questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis technique, normality test, linearity test, simple correlation test, coefficient of determination, correlation significance test, regression equation test, and regression significance test. This research was conducted in April – July 2021. The results of the research revealed that: There is a significant influence between resilience and adversity on students' understanding of mathematical concepts by 21.62%. This situation shows that students' understanding of mathematical concepts is contributed by resilience to adversity. Keywords: Effect, Students, Mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of bivalves in the intertidal zone of Lande Beach, Gerak Makmur Village. This research is classified as quantitative descriptive research using the search method. The research has 3 stages, namely the observation stage, the sampling stage at the research location, and the identification stage. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively including body shape, color, pattern and body size. Based on the results of research conducted in the intertidal zone of Lande Beach, Gerak Makmur Village, Sampolawa District, 7 families and 8 species of bivalves were found, namely Fragumunedo, Tridacnacrocea, Tranchycardium rogusum, Spondylus versicolor, Pinctada maxima, Anandara gubernaculum, and Atrinavexillum.
