Abstract

Pesantren is one of the religious educational institutions that has gained trust among the people of Indonesia. The position of pesantren as an educational institution also received government recognition, as mentioned in article 1 paragraph 4 of PP no 55 of 2007 concerning Religious Education and Religious Education, that pesantren are community-based Islamic religious educational institutions. The purpose of writing this article is to discuss Community-Based Learning in Pesantren. The approach used is qualitative. The analyst method is library research which is literature-based research. The results of the discussion show that community-based education in Islamic boarding schools plays an important role in creating quality education and in accordance with community expectations. Through community-based learning, this means that the community takes responsibility and makes a real contribution to the development of education, so that the existence of this pesantren really brings benefits in the development of pesantren as a form of community-based educational institutions.

Abstract

One of learning models that has recently been widely applied is Project-based Learning (PJBL). PJBL is a learning model that provides space for educational actors who are directly involved in the classroom, namely teachers and students, to be jointly involved in a project to solve a problem. PJBL is widely applied to learning hard sciences such as Physics. So far, discussion of learning models that use PJBL in Arabic subjects is still relatively limited. This research aims to fill in the gaps in research and knowledge related to how to apply PJBL in learning Arabic in secondary education, especially in writing skills with the topics "School" (المدرسة) and "Hobbies" (هواية). This research was conducted at an Islamic Junior High School (SMP) located in the city of Malang, East Java in the 2021/2022 academic year using quantitative and qualitative research methods. The data in this study were obtained using written tests, interviews, and observations. The results showed that only about 12.6% of students scored above 70 for writing skills based on assessments on essay writing. Students also experience some difficulties in learning Arabic, both academically and psychologically. After implementing PJBL, students were known to have a positive response to PJBL and there was an increase in students' writing skills. However, this improvement can also be an aspect of improvement in future research because in this study, researchers looked at the results of students' writing that was worked on in groups, not on the results of individual work as during the initial assessment before PJBL was implemented.

Abstract

The Kuttab An-Nubuwwah education system is an education system inspired by kuttab education in classical times. Kuttab is an educational institution that has a long history. The emergence of this education system is expected to be able to answer the needs of society, especially Muslims towards improving the quality of life in line with Islamic teachings and in accordance with the times. The formulation of the problems in this study include: (1) What is the educational model of the kuttab system implemented at Kuttab An-Nubuwwah? (2) What is the specialty of moral education with the kuttab system in Kuttab An-Nubuwwah? (3) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing moral education at Kuttab An-Nubuwwah?. In order to answer the formulation of the problem, the researcher uses a type of field research (field research) which is descriptive qualitative in nature. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the kuttab system educational model applied in An-Nubuwwah kuttab is an educational model that focuses on mastery of Al-Qur`an and Faith material in accordance with the intellectual level of the students. The curriculum used is the local curriculum which includes Al-Qur`an, Faith, and General Subjects (MPU). The approaches used include exemplary approaches (uswatun hasanah) and habituation. The learning methods used are talaqqi, tasmi', murojaah, lectures, questions and answers, stories, parables, and others. The evaluation used in Kuttab An-Nubuwwah is a test in written and oral form including memorization tests, formative tests and summative tests. The supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of education in this kuttab are the facilities and infrastructure, the number of students in each halaqah, teachers and parents.

Abstract

Sufism education is the most fundamental education in shaping noble personalities. The moral decline of modern humans today makes their lives undirected, reckless and bad. For this reason, we need to elaborate on the thoughts of previous scholars to fortify the moral decline that is happening today. Sheikh Abdurrauf as-Singkili said, no knowledge is perfect but with the perfection of one's morals. The purpose of this research is to describe the concept of Sufism education from Abdurrauf as-Singkili's perspective in the book al-mawaizul al-badi'ah. This research is a library research. By using analytic descriptive method. The analysis technique used is content analysis, which is a research technique that concentrates on real content. The results of this study show a number of findings, namely the basic concept of Sufism education according to Abdurrauf as-Singkili is an effort to foster noble behavior, both to Allah SWT, self, and fellow humans. This is a concept of Sufism that will produce noble attitudes, which are very important to implement as an effort to foster good behavior (moral). Abstract

This research is motivated by the consistency of Islamic boarding school residents in applying religious learning in collaboration with general learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning on student achievement at the Riyadlul Muta'alimin Islamic Boarding School in Cikaramat, Sukabumi Regency using indicators of learning effectiveness and learning achievement indicators that are expected to achieve this goal. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with research subjects being Islamic boarding school students at the wustha level. The object of this study is the effectiveness of learning as an independent variable on student achievement as the dependent variable. This study used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, which were obtained through mini-research and literature studies. Data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the effectiveness of learning affects the achievement of students, by fulfilling the indicators of learning effectiveness, namely indicators of management and implementation of learning (students can take part in learning by combining two curricula, namely the cottage curriculum and the government curriculum), communicative teaching and learning process (students can express opinions or ask questions to ustadz), active response of students (senior students can actively guide or practice learning to junior students), ustadz motivation through learning innovation (shown by not only learning lecture or bandongan methods but by studying outside or honing students' skills), and learning outcomes ( indicated by 90% of students being able to meet the KKM score and being able to win the championship). According to the author, all of that can be created with discipline in managing time to study and meet daily needs.

Abstract

Learning the tahfidz of the Koran is a process or activity of memorizing the verses of the Koran by repeating the readings either by listening to or seeing the writings of the Koran, so that the readings can stick in memory and can be repeated without having to look at the Koran and its writings. In memorizing the Koran, of course, there is a special method so that children can memorize it quickly and accurately. The results of research at TAUD At-Tartil used a unique method, one of which was the Talaqi method. Based on the observations that the researchers made, children memorize using this method because one of the factors is choosing the right method that will make it easier for children to memorize. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the implementation of the Talaqi Method in Learning Al-Qur'an Tahfidz at TAUD At-Tarti Sukabumi. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. With this method it can anticipate students memorizing the Koran so that it is easier to memorize the Koran because it is always heard and repeated by students, and this method is flexible and can be done anywhere without having to always use it in class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the implications of the managerial competency of school principals in improving the performance of elementary school teachers. This study uses a qualitative approach. The collection of data obtained from various sources, backgrounds and various methods in this research is through mini-research and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the competence of the principal in improving the performance of elementary school teachers, namely in planning the principal makes an annual school work plan (RKTS) which concerns 8 educational standards, provides SKP criteria (employee performance targets) at the beginning of the year as a guide for teacher assessment by the school principal, in practice organizes and involves teachers in scientific forums such as education and training (upgrading/in-service training, workshops and seminars), in the direction of the Principal supervises the education of teachers (class visit techniques, private talks, and group discussions) , as well as the efforts made by the Principal as a manager in improving performance is to build good communication with all teachers in building a productive work culture. The managerial competence of the principal at Kuttab An-Nubuwwah in improving teacher performance has been carried out in accordance with the stages of management properly. The managerial function of the Principal as one of the efforts to improve teacher performance, the implementation of the managerial functions of the Principal with an education management approach carried out by the Principal has carried out the stages of management which include planning, implementation and evaluation but in terms of management functions have not been optimized, in carry out an education management approach to the process of the Principal's managerial function.

Abstract

Long before independence, Islamic education and its existence as one of the components of national development, especially in Indonesia, played an important role in the history of this country. However, the dualism of education represented by traditional groups and Western intellectual groups made the face of education in Indonesia very dichotomous, differential and disharmonious, in addition to the education organized by the colonizers at that time did not teach religious learning at all. For this reason, Mohammad Natsir was present and appeared to carry the concept of integral, harmonious and universal education. This study aims to analyze and provide a comprehensive overview of Natsir's concept of education and its relevance to education in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review with an analytical descriptive approach. The results of this study show that Natsir's concept of education has relevance to the education system in Indonesia. This can be seen in how general subjects are taught and integrated into the pesantren curriculum, and religious subjects are integrated into the general education curriculum. Although in practice not all educational institutions in Indonesia have implemented this.

Abstract

Pedagogic competence is the ability to manage student learning which includes the teacher’s understanding of student characteristics which also greatly influences children’s interest in learning. Form the teacher’s pedagogical competence we can have and see a big picture of the ability of an educator to develop the abilities and potential of his students. The purpose of this discussion is to understand the importance of teacher pedagogic competence which can be a reason for students’ interest in learning. Apart from that, with this competence educator are also able to provide appropriate learning for students to make it easier for them to accept new lessons and they can easily apply them in everyday life. The method used is literature review which seeks references from various books and journal articles in order to get the right theory so that conclusions are in accordance with the reality in the field. In addition to the literature, the research also conducted a source triangulation in order to obtain a research result that is relevant and in accordance with the conditions in the field. As for the results of his study, it can be said that the teacher’s pedagogical competence is very influential on students learning interest, because there is a special understanding of the method and how to overcom and understand what the child wants. So we can conclude tha an educator has an extraordinary responsibility, not only providing education they are aldo required to relearn and add insight about the world of education, especially for individual educators, especially in their competence. Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of organizational culture on students' learning motivation at MTs Al-Mansuriyah. The method used in this research is qualitative research with the type of field research. The research respondents consisted of 6 teachers and 20 students who were at MTs Al-Mansuriyah. This research was conducted using in-depth interviews and participatory observation as data collection instruments. Through in-depth interviews, teachers and students were interviewed to gain an in-depth understanding of the school's organizational culture and its influence on student learning motivation. Participatory observation is carried out to gain direct understanding of learning activities and interactions between teachers and students. The results of this study will be analyzed qualitatively using a thematic approach. The findings from this study are expected to provide a better understanding of how the organizational culture at MTs Al-Mansuriyah influences student motivation. The implications of this research are expected to be used as a basis for increasing a positive organizational culture at MTs Al-Mansuriyah so that it can further motivate students to learn. By gathering information from the perspectives of teachers and students, this research is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the influence of organizational culture on student learning motivation at MTs Al-Mansuriyah. This research can also contribute to the development of educational strategies and policies aimed at increasing students' motivation to learn in these schools. The results showed that organizational culture was in the good category, in terms of the five indicators, namely innovation, stability, people orientation, result orientation, being calm, student learning motivation was in the good category, in terms of the five indicators, namely the desire to succeed, the drive to needs in learning, hopes and aspirations for the future, interesting activities in learning and a conducive learning environment.
