Indonesia is ranked second with the most cases of Tuberculosis (TB) in the world. This is due to poor knowledge about TB, smoking habits, and poor adherence to medication. Therefore, it takes the role of a family doctor who can manage patients holistically from various aspects. This study is a case report with primary data sources obtained through anamnesis, physical examination, and supporting examinations. The activities carried out were home visits and completing family guidance sheets, from the data obtained a holistic diagnosis and appropriate management were determined. Patient Mr. A, 68 years old, came for routine TB treatment and was diagnosed two months ago. The patient has normal nutritional status. The problems that the patient has are lack of physical activity, lack of patient knowledge of TB disease, lack of family support, and exposure to cigarette smoke. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions were carried out in patients in the form of education about TB disease in patients and their families. Holistic management of TB patients is needed. The level of patient knowledge of the disease and the importance of the family knowing the treatment schedule and a healthy lifestyle determine the success of TB treatment.

Abstract

Dyshidrotic dermatitis is a form of hand and foot dermatitis characterized by fluid accumulation in the form of vesicles or bullae. Dyshidrotic dermatitis is the most common form of skin disease, accounting for up to 80% of people of all ages and genders. The etiology of dyshidrotic dermatitis is idiopathic, but some sources link the etiology with a history of atopy. There are also sources that state that the etiology of dyshidrotic dermatitis is a combination of various factors, such as environmental and genetic factors. Pathogenesis of dyshidrotic dermatitis, states that dyshidrotic dermatitis vesicles are caused by sweat gland dysfunction. However, it turns out that the histological examination of the sweat gland ducts is not abnormal. However, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) is found in almost a third of dyshidrosis dermatitis sufferers and can also be associated with atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, or reactions to systemic drugs. (anti-retrovirals, intravenous immunoglobulin, mycophenolate-mofetil immunosuppressant). Treatment can be in the form of corticosteroids and emollients are the main choice in management of dyshidrotic dermatitis. Other therapies such as retinoids and Immumomodulators may also be considered according to clinical conditions patient dyshidrotic dermatitis, is a chronic and recurrent disease, so the patient must be controlled periodically and receive education to avoid precipitating facto.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that is chronic and can affect individual thoughts, patterns of behavior, and feelings which are often characterized by other mental disorders such as hallucinations, delusions, behavioral disturbances, changes in social behavior, and depression. There are three types of parenting styles. used by parents in providing care to children. The first parenting style is democratic parenting, in this parenting style there is parental recognition of children's abilities, children are given the opportunity not to always depend. By having the freedom to be responsible, children will be able to develop their potential well. The second parenting style is authoritarian parenting. This parenting style reflects the attitude of parents who act tough and tend to be discriminatory. The third parenting style is permissive parenting, this parenting style is characterized by unlimited freedom for children to behave according to their own wishes. This type of parenting is wrong because children who are raised by authoritarian and permissive parenting styles will form children who are unable to control themselves, lack the ability to think, lack self-confidence, cannot be independent, are less creative, are less mature in moral development, and have low curiosity. And it will also form the personality of children who only think about themselves, are irresponsible, tend to reject rules, quickly get discouraged, can't stand disappointment, want to draw attention to themselves, this will make children more prone to experiencing mental disorders.

Abstract

. Stimulation plays a crucial role in maximizing the growth and development of children by targeting their specific age-related cognitive and fine motor skills. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the educational toy "Puzzlo Puzzle" in improving the fine motor and cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years. The research design employed a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 36 participants were included, and primary data was collected through questionnaires assessing fine motor and cognitive development. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution tables and the paired t-test. The results indicated a significant relationship between the utilization of the puzzlo puzzle educational game and the improvement of both fine motor skills (p < 0.05) and cognitive abilities (p < 0.05) in children aged 4-5 years. Therefore, parents and educators should maximize the use of the "Puzzlo Puzzle" educational game in the child's educational journey.

Abstract

Bronchiectasis is a chronic disorder characterized by permanent bronchial dilatation, accompanied by an inflammatory process in the bronchial wall and surrounding lung parenchyma. Morphologically, bronchiectasis is divided into 3 types, namely cylindrical or tubular bronchiectasis characterized by airway dilatation, varicose bronchiectasis (so named because its appearance is similar to varicose veins), characterized by focal constrictive areas accompanied by airway dilatation as a result of defects in the bronchial wall, cystic or saccular bronchiectasis, characterized by progressive airway dilatation ending in large cysts, saccules, or grape-like clusters (this picture is a picture of the bronchi). The clinical presentation of bronchiectasis is highly variable, some patients have no symptoms at all or only have symptoms during exacerbations, and some patients experience symptoms every day. Sputum can vary from mucoid, mucopurulent, thick, and clay. A 3-layer sputum appearance that includes a foamy upper layer, a middle layer of mucus, and a purulent lower layer is pathognomonic, but not always found. Investigations that can be carried out are blood tests, radiology and microbiology. The management carried out was giving antibiotics, bronchopulmonary hygiene such as effective coughing exercises, postural drainage, chest physiotherapy, diluting respiratory tract secretions, administering inhaled brochodilators and corticosteroids during acute exacerbations. In addition, treatment of bronchiectasis can also be done through surgery.

Abstract

Bacground: Human life will always face with problems, the problems that come can cause the stres. Excessive stress will increase stomach acid production, which causes disturbances in the digestive tract. Indigestion appears in addition to an unbalanced lifestyle, it can also be caused by excessive stress. Methods: The research method used is by using literature review from text books and scientific publications. Results: Stress causes the stomach to become more sensitive, causing discomfort in the stomach. Chemical processes in the brain also change under conditions of stress, so that the enteric nervous system at the nerve endings in the stomach is more sensitive in reponding to pain and reduces levels of prostaglandins, which under normal conditions protect the stomach from the effects of stomach acid. Conclusion: Stress is a natural reaction of the body, which if excessive will cause a reaction to increase stomach acid.

Abstract

Background: Homeostasis is a key concept in life survival. Today, researchers are discovering redox homeostasis as the basis of a wide variety of degenerative diseases. Various methods are studied to maintain redox homeostasis, especially by increasing the body's antioxidant defenses, so that they can prevent and treat various modern diseases, one of which is through acupuncture. Methodology: This article is a systematic review of the therapeutic effects of acupuncture on redox homeostasis published in the PubMed database, Researchgate, CNKI, in the last 10 years. Results: The concept of redox homeostasis is identical to that of Yin-Yang homeostasis in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine). It turns out that acupuncture therapy, which has the effect of maintaining and restoring Yin-Yang homeostasis, has also been shown to have an effect on increasing antioxidant power and reducing body oxidants in various pathological conditions. There are no adverse effects from acupuncture therapy. Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy is effective and safe for maintaining and restoring redox homeostasis, especially for its anti-oxidant effect in various redox reward conditions.
