Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of integrated Antenatal Care (ANC) services at IIKNU Tuban in improving maternal health and awareness among pregnant women. Integrated ANC, which combines routine medical care, nutritional education, and early detection of pregnancy complications, has been shown to significantly reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality globally. Despite improvements in healthcare delivery, challenges such as inadequate access to services and cultural barriers persist, especially in rural areas. Data collected from pregnant women at IIKNU Tuban indicated that the program has successfully increased maternal awareness regarding the importance of regular ANC visits, nutritional needs, and the identification of potential complications. Participants also reported better health outcomes, such as improved nutritional status and a reduction in anemia. However, challenges, including staffing shortages and the limited availability of advanced medical resources, continue to affect the program's overall impact. The study concludes that while integrated ANC services at IIKNU Tuban are effective in improving maternal health, addressing resource constraints and cultural barriers is crucial for further enhancing program effectiveness. These findings suggest that localized, integrated ANC programs could serve as a model for other regions aiming to improve maternal health outcomes in underserved populations.

Abstract

Background: Fracture is a disruption of the continuity of bone tissue caused by traffic accidents or deformity. Fracture surgery is an invasive procedure that is usually performed on fracture patients. Surgery will of course have unpleasant impacts on the patient, one of which is pain. Pain arising from surgery or post-surgery can be reduced using non-pharmacological techniques. Non-pharmacological techniques that can be applied include deep breathing techniques, classical music therapy, cold compress therapy, aroma therapy, and finger-hold relaxation techniques. Objective: This research aims to analyze journals related to non-pharmacological techniques in reducing post-operative fracture pain. Method: Using literature review. The research samples analyzed were 5 articles. Data collection tools use Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and PubMed. Results: The 5 articles used in this literature review show an influence or reduction in the intensity of post-fracture surgery pain after being given non-pharmacological therapy. Conclusion: Non-pharmacological techniques can be used on patients who experience post-fracture surgery pain because the results of the analysis of several articles state that there is an influence or reduction in the intensity of post-fracture surgery pain.

Abstract

Diabetic foot ulcers are typical wounds that are serious and common complications in people with diabetes with a long healing time. The cost of treating diabetic foot ulcers is relatively expensive because the price of modern dressings is less affordable and the recovery time is long. Complementary dressing interventions are expected to heal diabetic foot ulcers effectively. This case study aims to analyze the results of the implementation of wound care with complementary dressings on the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. This case study uses a descriptive method with a nursing care process approach. The subjects of the case study were patients with diabetes mellitus with grade 1-2 diabetic ulcers. The subjects of the case study were 2 people, who were obtained randomly. The subjects of the case study had signed an informed consent before data collection. The population used was all patients with diabetic foot ulcers. The number of samples used was 2 female patients. The data collection tool used the Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT) assessment sheet. The results obtained were an improvement in the wound as indicated by an increase in the score on the assessment sheet with an average difference of 3 points. The complementary dressing technique accelerates the healing of diabetic wounds

Abstract

Background: One of the most common degenerative diseases among the elderly is hypertension. Headaches are one of the symptoms of hypertension; if not addressed promptly, headaches in hypertensive patients can lead to sleep disturbances, anxiety, emotional instability, and ultimately affect the patient's quality of life. One non-pharmacological management that can be employed to address headaches is guided imagery therapy with instrumental music. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of guided imagery therapy with instrumental music on the level of headaches in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. Method: The research design in this study is a quantitative pre-experimental using the one group pre-test post-test design method. The population in this study consists of elderly hypertensive patients experiencing headaches, totaling 25 elderly individuals, with a sample selected through purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 23 elderly individuals. Result: The results of the conducted research showed that elderly individuals with mild headache levels after undergoing therapy for 3 consecutive days exhibited a decrease in pain levels. After being analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α=<0.05, with a p-value of 0.000<0.05, the result obtained was an Asymp sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion : It can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means that guided imagery therapy with instrumental music has an effect on the level of headache in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. The guided imagery technique is a method that helps achieve deep relaxation, creating relaxation in various ways that can control the nervous system, ultimately lowering blood pressure, thereby alleviating headaches caused by elevated blood pressure.
