Abstract

Perkembangan riset di perguruan tinggi menuntut mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami teori, tetapi juga menguasai metodologi penelitian secara aplikatif. Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan Genggong (UNZAH) sebagai kampus berbasis pesantren merancang Sekolah Riset sebagai program pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penelitian mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan membangun budaya akademik yang kritis, meningkatkan kapasitas metodologis, serta menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan intensif, pendampingan proposal, klinik metodologi, serta publikasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, kemampuan menggunakan aplikasi pendukung riset, serta lahirnya jejaring riset kolaboratif antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Sekolah Riset ini berperan sebagai wahana transformasi budaya akademik di lingkungan UNZAH yang berbasis integrasi nilai pesantren dan tuntutan akademik modern.

Abstract

: Not many Muslim communities have the courage to care for corpses. Only a handful of people dare to wash, shroud and enter the grave during the burial process for the deceased. This phenomenon cannot be separated from the existence of dead people who are still mythical as tuyul embryos or child kuntils. As a result, many teenagers do not master the skills of caring for corpses and their specifications during the shroud process. In fact, it is on the shoulders of teenagers to preserve the culture of shrouding corpses. If this phenomenon is allowed to continue, there will be a cadre crisis in preserving the culture of caring for corpses in the style of ahlusunnah wal congregation, so it is feared that there will be a scarcity of young Muslim cadres who are experts in shrouding corpses. It is in this dimension that this research offers significance. The main aim is to describe the concern of Gunggungan Lor teenagers in raising funds when a death occurs in their community, continuing to dig the grave, bathe them, give prayers to finish the funeral. The method used is Accet Base Community Development which is packaged in the form of Community Service. The ABCD approach is a critical approach within the scope of development based on the strengths and assets owned by the community. This approach places great emphasis on community independence and the establishment of rules. The ABCD approach focuses on the assets you want to develop. The results of the research show the creation of an increase in understanding in caring for corpses ala ahlus sunnah wal jamaah for the youth of Gungungan Lor; the realization of skills and abilities in bathing, shrouding, praying and burying the dead.

Abstract

The development of the digital era poses challenges for Islamic boarding schools in maintaining the authority of religious leaders while expanding the dissemination of religious moderation values. Until now, Islamic boarding schools have been synonymous with face-to-face communication, while religious leaders, as authoritative figures, rarely engage directly in social media. This situation raises the question of how the message of moderation from religious leaders can continue to be present and internalized by the digital community. This study aims to analyze the patterns of interaction between kiai and santri in the distribution of messages of moderation through social media. The method used is qualitative with a communication ethnography approach. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with santri and the Information and Communication Bureau administrators, observation of digital da'wah activities, and documentation of posts from the official accounts of pesantren and santri on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram. The results of the study show that clerics do not have personal accounts and do not respond directly to digital audiences, but instead convey messages through religious lectures and live broadcasts. These messages are then mediated by the Communication and Information Bureau and santri, who select, edit, and disseminate excerpts from the lectures on social media. This pattern forms a model of indirect authority, in which santri act as digital mediators who strengthen and expand the influence of kiai. This process demonstrates the transformation of pesantren communication from traditional to digital spaces, without reducing the legitimacy of kiai authority. The conclusion of this study confirms that religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools in the digital era occurs through a mediation mechanism, not through the direct participation of the kiai. These findings contribute theoretically by introducing the concept of “indirect authority” and, practically, provide a basis for Islamic boarding schools and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to strengthen the digital literacy of santri and media bureaus as effective agents of moderate da'wah.

Abstract

Bullying itself is an aggressive act or manipulation that is conscious and purposeful carried out by one or more people against one or a group of other people. The bullying phenomenon that occurred at MA Khusnul Yaqin and MA Mambau Shofa schools is a phenomenon where many bullying acts are carried out unknowingly by students at the school. There is a need for legal counseling related to bullying acts by providing legal education and understanding about bullying. Perpetrators who feel that bullying is normal, both verbally and non-verbally, and for victims of bullying, awareness of legal protection can be provided so that victims of bullying feel protected and avoid the impact of bullying that can attack mental health. This counseling is carried out using a persuasive, educational, and communicative approach. Legal counseling about the impact of bullying is expected to raise awareness of teachers, students, and the general community around the importance of bullying counseling in the school environment because of the huge impact on student psychology and the very severe legal sanctions for perpetrators of bullying, especially in the school environment.

Abstract

The mental health of millennial adolescents, especially those living in urban areas, shows an increasingly worrying trend of disorders and has become an important issue in the fields of education and religion. Social pressure, academic demands, and exposure to digital media are factors that exacerbate their psychological condition. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health, especially in the environment of the Al-Washilah Islamic Boarding School, Kembangan, West Jakarta. In this activity, prayer and fasting are positioned as spiritual means that can strengthen mental resilience and provide peace of mind, based on the values of the teachings of the Qur'an. The research was conducted using qualitative methods with a participatory approach, which included socialization activities, interactive discussions, and literature reviews on Islamic and psychological references. The results show that active involvement in daily worship practices such as the five daily prayers and fasting both obligatory and sunnah contribute significantly to the emotional stability, self-control, and inner peace of the students. These findings emphasize the importance of internalizing spiritual values in adolescent mental health development. This program is also recommended as an alternative model for character building and mental health in other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Limited exposure to village potential, especially tourist destinations, MSME products, and public service information, leads to a low reach of official information and consistency of village image. These studies aim to build credible and easy-to-manage digital channels through the development of village websites to strengthen branding and improve services. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach is applied in four stages of action planning, implementation, observation, and reflection and evaluation with the active involvement of the village government and local actors. The results of the activities include the release of a responsive website that contains village profiles, activity galleries, the latest news, MSME directories, tourist information with maps, and an online letter submission feature to speed up administrative services. Apparatus capacity building is carried out through training in content management, basic SEO, media management, security & backup, traffic analytics, and SOP compliance; Evaluation was carried out by black-box functional tests, as well as performance measurements. It is concluded that this intervention can strengthen village branding, improve the consistency of publication and information coverage, and encourage local economic exposure, as well as replication as the foundation for the integration of the next "smart village" services.

Abstract

This article addresses the importance of teachers’ understanding of students’ thinking mechanisms as the basis for implementing deep learning in elementary schools. In Garut Regency, Indonesia, many teachers still rely on conventional teaching methods, leading to passive learning and low student engagement. To respond to this challenge, a community service program (PkM) was designed to enhance teachers’ competence through the application of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). The program employed a hybrid model, including online conceptual sessions on NLP and deep learning as well as offline workshops, collaborative practices, and classroom simulations. Participants consisted of elementary school teachers from various districts in Garut, selected based on their commitment to implementation. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments and perception surveys. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ ability to identify students’ learning modalities, apply NLP techniques and design mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning experiences. Teachers also reported positive perceptions of NLP as a tool to foster inclusivity, motivation, and social-emotional development in classrooms. In conclusion, the program effectively strengthened teachers’ pedagogical competence and demonstrated the potential of NLP as an innovative approach to improve the quality of elementary education in Indonesia.
