Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and its impact on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Jambi. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observation and analysis of learning outcomes from class XII F7 students. The results indicate a significant increase in student engagement and learning outcomes through the PBL approach, with an average score improvement of 15% compared to conventional teaching. The PBL model successfully created a collaborative learning environment that encouraged problem-solving skills development. Despite initial challenges in teacher adaptation and resource availability, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum with the PBL model showed positive effects on student motivation and conceptual understanding. This study provides empirical evidence of the effectiveness of integrating PBL into the Merdeka Curriculum to enhance the quality of learning at the senior high school level.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of character education in developing ethical awareness for ecosystem sustainability, focusing on BINUS University students through a project-based learning approach. The character education in question is education that is based on the principles of Pancasila, which emphasizes the development of ethical behavior, social responsibility, and collective action to maintain a sustainable ecosystem. This study explores the relationship between ethical awareness and ecosystems by analyzing the results of student projects and interviews. The results show that students recognize the importance of collaboration between individuals, governments, and other stakeholders in ensuring environmental sustainability. The main findings highlight three important aspects: collective ethical awareness, shared values, and sustainable benefits. Collective ethical awareness is a universal value where students understand that maintaining an ecosystem requires cooperation and moral responsibility. Shared values, especially those embedded in Pancasila, strengthen students' beliefs that justice for nature is a collective obligation between individuals and institutions. Sustainable benefits refer to the long-term benefits to the environment and society that arise from maintaining a sustainable ecosystem. This study concludes that character education is very important in shaping students' moral perspectives and actions towards environmental conservation. Through project-based learning, students develop a deeper understanding of the complex relationships between human activities and ecosystems, ultimately fostering resilient communities that can cope with rapid environmental change. This research underscores the importance of integrating ethics education into higher education for future environmentally conscious leaders.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work flexibility on job satisfaction, with motivation as a mediator. The research method used is qualitative with an explanatory approach. The results show that workload and motivation have a positive effect on job satisfaction, while work flexibility does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Workload and work flexibility do influence motivation. When mediated by motivation, workload does not affect job satisfaction, but work flexibility does. Simultaneous testing indicates that workload and work flexibility have a positive effect on job satisfaction mediated by motivation. To achieve the established targets, the company assigns workload to employees. However, excessive workload can affect the physical and emotional well-being of employees. In conclusion, the company needs to set work standards and provide work flexibility to improve employee job satisfaction. Employee job satisfaction is crucial as it impacts their performance. One aspect that can enhance job satisfaction is motivation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the development of economic education in Indonesia which focuses on bank management and entrepreneurship, analyze the factors that influence the successful implementation of economic education related to these two fields, and develop recommendations for developing a more effective economic education curriculum to improve financial skills and entrepreneurship among students. The method used in this literature study is library research, which involves collecting data through various library sources such as books, encyclopedias, documents and scientific journals. Overall, the results of previous research show that although there has been progress in the development of economic education with a focus on bank management and entrepreneurship, there are still many challenges that need to be overcome. Economic education in Indonesia needs to further strengthen practical aspects and skills by collaborating with the industrial world and the financial sector to provide real experience to students. Apart from that, integration between bank management and entrepreneurship in the economic education curriculum will be more optimal if it is supported by adequate facilities, teacher training and the use of technology. Therefore, it is recommended that the government, educational institutions and the private sector can work together to strengthen educational curricula that are more relevant to market needs and global economic challenges.

Abstract

This research delves into the multifaceted challenges posed by the digital divide in the adoption and implementation of technology-based learning models, particularly in remote and underserved areas. Drawing on surveys and in-depth interviews with both teachers and students, the study reveals that the primary obstacles to effective technology integration in education are limited access to reliable internet connectivity and the scarcity of technological devices such as computers or tablets. These barriers not only hinder the daily learning experience but also exacerbate educational inequalities, particularly in rural or economically disadvantaged regions. To address these challenges, the research proposes a range of solutions aimed at improving access to technology and enhancing its pedagogical effectiveness. These include the adoption of low-cost or simpler technological tools that can function in environments with limited infrastructure, the creation of offline learning resources that do not rely on constant internet access, and the provision of targeted teacher training to help educators make the best use of the technology available to them. The study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to bridging the digital divide—one that takes into account local contexts, infrastructure limitations, and the need for professional development in order to create more inclusive and equitable educational opportunities for all students, regardless of their geographical location.
