Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ suboptimal engagement in learning, as evidenced by their low participation in the learning process. This condition is believed to be influenced by classroom management and classroom climate, which are key factors in creating a conducive learning environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of classroom management and classroom climate on student engagement in the Office Management and Business Services (MPLB) program at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method administered to 105 students in grades 10 and 11, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination using SPSS. The results of the study indicate that classroom management has a positive and significant effect on student engagement in learning (t-calculated = 4.157; p < 0.05), as does classroom climate (t-calculated = 7.617; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables had a positive and significant effect (F-calculated = 131.308; p < 0.05). The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.714 indicates that 71.4% of the variation in student learning engagement is explained by classroom management and classroom climate, while 28.6% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings underscore the importance of effective classroom management and a conducive classroom climate for enhancing student learning engagement.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate among vocational high school graduates indicates that the employability skills of vocational education graduates still need to be improved. This study aims to analyze the influence of soft skills, self-efficacy, digital literacy, learning motivation, career planning, and social support on the employability skills of 11th-grade Office Management students at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative approach with a saturation sampling technique, so all 71 students were included in the sample. Data were collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate that, individually, soft skills, learning motivation, and career planning have a positive and significant effect on employability skills. Soft skills are the variable with the most dominant influence. Conversely, self-efficacy, digital literacy, and social support did not show a significant effect. Simultaneously, all six variables had a significant effect on employability skills with an Adjusted R-Square value of 0.433, meaning the model explains 43.3% of the variation in employability skills, while the remaining 56.7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings indicate that strengthening soft skills, learning motivation, and career planning should be prioritized in enhancing the employability skills of vocational high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the alignment of financial management principles and governance in Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Kerinci Regency, as well as to measure the contribution of BUMDes dividends to Village Original Income (PADes). Utilizing a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory strategy, this study examined a sample of 30 BUMDes selected through stratified purposive sampling based on their business development stages (Advanced, Developing, and Emerging categories). The evaluation was based on five key indicators: planning and budgeting, transaction bookkeeping, reporting and accountability, operational efficiency (operating ratio), and governance score. The results reveal a significant performance gap in both financial metrics and governance across the BUMDes categories. The Advanced category (n=5) achieved the highest performance, with an average annual revenue of IDR 519,000,000, a net profit of IDR 198,747,000, and a governance score of 92.6, dominating PADes contributions at 85.8% (an average of IDR 58,000,600/year). The Developing category (n=15) recorded an average revenue of IDR 103,800,000, a net profit of IDR 23,946,000, and a governance score of 73.5, contributing 14.2% to PADes (an average of IDR 3,200,000/year). Meanwhile, the Emerging/Passive category (n=10) demonstrated the lowest performance, with an average revenue of IDR 17,100,000, a net profit of IDR 1,021,000, a governance score of 49.8, and a 0% contribution to PADes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the predominant use of conventional learning media in teaching archive storage procedures at vocational high schools, which made it difficult for students to understand the procedural nature of the subject matter. Observations and a preliminary survey revealed that students understood the material more easily through interactive visualizations and showed a high level of interest in technology-based learning media. These findings indicate the need for innovative learning media that support the implementation of the deep learning approach in the Merdeka Curriculum by providing more concrete, interactive, and contextual learning experiences. This study aimed to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based Flipbook learning media for archive storage procedures for Grade XI students at SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta and to analyze its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis through percentage calculations to determine the feasibility and practicality of the developed media, while its effectiveness was evaluated using the N-Gain test based on the pre-test and post-test results. The findings showed that the developed media achieved feasibility scores of 96% from the subject matter expert, 86% from the media expert, and 81% from the instructional design expert, all of which were categorized as highly feasible. Students' responses indicated that the media was highly practical, while its effectiveness was demonstrated by the increase in the average pre-test score from 56.78 to 96.94 on the post-test, with an N-Gain score of 0.93, which is classified as high. Therefore, the Augmented Reality-based Flipbook learning media is considered feasible, practical, and effective for teaching archive storage procedures.

Abstract

Wotu Subdistrict is one of the subdistricts in East Luwu Regency that still maintains communal space in everyday life, so that changes in public-private zoning take place flexibly, particularly during certain communal events. The mappetuada tradition is one of the customs in Wotu Subdistrict that generally shows a fairly high degree of spatial flexibility, with zoning changes occurring on a daily basis as the event approaches. This study therefore aims to identify the spatial flexibility that occurs during the mappetuada tradition and to analyze the factors that influence this highly flexible spatial change. An evaluative descriptive method was used. Interview data show that spatial flexibility during the mappetuada tradition produces changes in public-private zoning. This spatial flexibility occurs because of the need for additional space and the value placed on trust and communal togetherness

Abstract

Balinese communities have spread across many regions of Indonesia, largely through government-organized transmigration programs intended to redistribute the high population density of Bali. This movement inevitably confronts Balinese migrants with the challenge of adapting their spatial and architectural values, particularly the Tri Hita Karana philosophy and the Nawa Sanga/Sanga Mandala spatial concept, which are closely tied to the traditional caste (catur wangsa) system, to new physical and socio-cultural environments outside Bali. This study aims to examine how Balinese transmigrant communities adapt their dwelling patterns to the Tri Hita Karana and Nawa Sanga concepts, taking the case of Kertoraharjo Village, Tomoni Timur Sub-district, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, a settlement established through the 1972-1973 transmigration program. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, combining field observation and documentation of housing layout with a literature review, and situating the findings within recent studies on Balinese vernacular architecture and caste-based social structure. The results show that the spatial arrangement of Balinese transmigrant houses in Kertoraharjo does not fully follow the normative orientation, building placement, and zoning hierarchy prescribed by Tri Hita Karana and Nawa Sanga. This deviation is driven by the community's socio-economic condition and by a shift in the meaning of caste, in which social status is now determined more by individual achievement than by hereditary caste rank. Nevertheless, the community still regards the east as the most sacred direction, consistently placing the family shrine (pamerajan) at the easternmost part of the house. These findings indicate that Balinese architectural adaptation in transmigration areas reflects a negotiation between inherited cosmological order and new socio-economic realities.

Abstract

This research is grounded in the importance of implementing Regulation of the Minister of Tourism Number 10 of 2019 concerning Tourism Crisis Management as a guideline for anticipating potential crises that may affect the tourism sector. Bukittinggi, one of the leading tourist destinations in West Sumatra, is prone to natural hazards, which makes effective policy implementation essential. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the regulation in Bukittinggi City and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique. The analysis of policy implementation refers to George C. Edward III's model, covering communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results show that the implementation of the regulation in Bukittinggi City has run reasonably well; the four dimensions have generally supported its execution, although constraints remain, including limited resources, suboptimal socialization to all stakeholders, and the need for stronger crisis-management coordination. Supporting factors include local government commitment, inter-agency coordination, and stakeholder support, while a dedicated crisis-management team, standard operating procedures, and a specific budget have yet to be established. Strengthening coordination, resource capacity, and preparedness is therefore needed to achieve a more effective tourism crisis management system in Bukittinggi City.
