Abstract

Traditional markets play a significant role in supporting the local economy; however, they face increasing challenges due to the growth of modern markets and the digitalization of trade. Pagesangan Traditional Market in Mataram District continues to encounter several issues related to infrastructure, facility management, vendor organization, and technological adaptation. This study aims to analyze the role of the Department of Trade in managing Pagesangan Traditional Market in the modern era and its contribution to improving the socioeconomic welfare of the community. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of officials from the Department of Trade, market managers, traders, buyers, and visitors selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that the Department of Trade has performed its roles as a regulator, facilitator, motivator, and dynamizer. Its regulatory role is reflected in the implementation of the Market Stall Placement Permit (Surat Izin Penempatan/SIP), the collection of market retribution fees, and the supervision of traders. As a facilitator, the Department has provided market facilities, although these efforts remain constrained by budget limitations and bureaucratic procedures. Meanwhile, digitalization initiatives and business assistance programs, which represent its roles as a motivator and dynamizer, have not yet been implemented optimally. Based on Henry Fayol's management functions, market management has incorporated planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling; however, its implementation remains largely focused on administrative aspects. From the perspective of strategic market management, the physical, institutional, and regulatory dimensions have been implemented, whereas business development and financing aspects have not yet been adequately addressed. Market management has also contributed to the community's social, economic, and spiritual welfare by fostering harmonious social relationships, supporting business sustainability, and promoting the values of honesty, fairness, and responsibility. Nevertheless, challenges remain in terms of inadequate infrastructure, limited innovation, and the absence of effective trader empowerment programs. Therefore, strengthening market facilities, enhancing management innovation, expanding digitalization initiatives, and implementing trader empowerment programs are essential to support the sustainability of Pagesangan Traditional Market in the modern era.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) in the relationship between green transformational leadership, green servant leadership, and green creativity within public sector organizations. Drawing upon the Ability, Motivation, and Opportunity (AMO) theory and Social Cognitive Theory, data were collected from 80 civil servants across government institutions in Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province, using a purposive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Amos 22. The findings reveal that both green transformational leadership and green servant leadership exert significant positive effects on GHRM and green creativity. Furthermore, GHRM was found to partially mediate the relationships between both leadership styles and green creativity. These results underscore the strategic importance of integrating leadership development and environmentally oriented HRM practices to cultivate green creativity in public organizations. The study offers theoretical contributions to the sustainability and public administration literature, while providing practical recommendations for policymakers and public managers to foster environmentally responsible behaviors and innovative solutions in addressing ecological challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Bima City Government through the Department of Education and Culture in improving the quality of primary education and identifying factors that hinder the implementation of education quality improvement policies. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with informants selected using purposive sampling techniques, including the Head of the Department of Education and Culture, Head of the Primary Education Division, principals, teachers, administrative staff, and school committees. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that the Bima City Department of Education and Culture plays a strategic role in improving the quality of primary education through four main functions, namely as a regulator, facilitator, coordinator, and supervisor and educator developer. The regulatory function is implemented through policy formulation and strengthening of educational programs, the facilitation function through the provision of educational infrastructure and teacher competency development, the coordination function through collaboration with various stakeholders, and the supervision and development function through academic supervision and evaluation of educational programs. However, efforts to improve education quality still face several challenges, including limited technology-based learning facilities, uneven teacher competence and distribution, budget constraints, and low parental participation. Therefore, strengthening regional education governance is needed through equitable distribution of educational resources, improvement of teacher capacity, optimization of learning technology utilization, and sustainable collaboration among the government, schools, families, and communities.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that impacts physical growth, cognitive development, and the quality of human resources. The government is implementing a program to accelerate the reduction of stunting through various nutritional interventions, one of which is the provision of F100 milk to toddlers suffering from nutritional problems. This study aims to analyze the impact of the stunting reduction acceleration program specifically the provision of F100 milk at the Penimbung Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in West Lombok Regency. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document review, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which encompasses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the provision of F100 milk has a positive impact on improving the nutritional status of toddlers, supported by adequate resources, implementer commitment, and a clear bureaucratic structure. Program success is further bolstered by cross-sectoral coordination, routine monitoring, and support provided to the toddlers' families. Challenges that persist include limited parental knowledge regarding F100 milk administration, family socioeconomic conditions, and adherence to health workers' recommendations.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of developing Islamic Religious Education and Character Education (PAIBP) teaching modules that accommodate the individual needs of students with intellectual disabilities within the Merdeka Curriculum. Teaching modules in special schools must be able to address the diverse cognitive, communicative, and developmental characteristics of students with special needs, while most prior studies have only addressed disability-based modules at the group level. This study aims to describe the design of an individual-needs-based PAIBP teaching module and to analyze its implementation at SLB Putera Mandiri Kawunganten. This qualitative field research involved the school principal and the PAIBP teacher as research subjects. Data were collected through non-participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, with source triangulation used to verify data validity. The results show that the module design covers module identity, initial competence, learning objectives, graduate profile, meaningful understanding, guiding questions, learning preparation, learning steps, assessment, and remedial/enrichment components, all of which are built upon an individual needs assessment rather than group-level characteristics. Implementation was carried out through introductory, core, and closing activities applying modeling, task analysis, prompting, shaping, and fading strategies, supported by concrete media, multisensory learning, differentiation, and observation-based assessment. Learning was conducted flexibly according to students' emotional and developmental conditions, supporting adaptive, humanistic, and meaningful PAIBP learning for students with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the prevalence of truancy among students—manifested as arriving at school but failing to attend class, congregating in the canteen or restrooms with peers, or leaving the school premises without a valid reason. Such behavior is suspected to be linked to permissive parenting, characterized by excessive freedom, minimal supervision, and low expectations regarding student responsibility. The study aimed to describe the level of permissive parenting employed by parents, characterize student truancy behavior, and examine the relationship between permissive parenting and truancy. A quantitative method utilizing a descriptive-correlational approach was employed. The study population comprised all 953 students at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang during the 2026/2027 academic year; a sample of 60 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected via permissive parenting and truancy behavior scales and subsequently analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results indicated that permissive parenting generally fell into the "very high" category (30.00%), while student truancy behavior generally fell into the "high" category (41.67%). A correlation coefficient of 0.557 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05) revealed a moderate positive relationship, indicating that higher levels of permissive parenting are associated with a greater tendency toward truancy. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between permissive parenting and student truancy at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. These findings highlight the importance of school guidance and counseling services—specifically through information sessions on discipline and the impact of truancy on academic and personal development, as well as group guidance and individual counseling for students exhibiting tendencies toward truancy. Furthermore, collaboration among guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, school authorities, and parents is crucial for more effectively monitoring, preventing, and addressing student truancy.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve students’ knowledge and awareness of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat/PHBS) at Blado Kulon 1 Public Elementary School and Blado Kulon 2 Public Elementary School, Tegal Siwalan District, Probolinggo Regency. The program employed an educational and participatory approach through the delivery of instructional materials, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, demonstrations, and simple hands-on practices. The materials covered personal hygiene, proper handwashing techniques, proper waste disposal, classroom and school environmental cleanliness, the selection of healthy food and beverages, and physical activity. The program was conducted by Community Service Program (KKN) students in collaboration with the participating schools. Observations during the program indicated that students actively engaged in the educational activities and were able to identify several examples of clean and healthy living behaviors that could be practiced both at school and at home. These findings demonstrate that interactive health education can serve as a simple strategy for strengthening students’ awareness of clean and healthy living habits. Continued reinforcement by teachers and school administrators is necessary to ensure that the knowledge gained can be translated into consistent daily practices.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and opportunities facing employment in Indonesia in the context of globalization. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive literature review to gain an understanding of employment conditions in Indonesia, changes in the labor market, and the challenges and opportunities arising from globalization and technological development. Data were obtained from various relevant literature sources, including scientific journals, books, government reports, publications by international organizations, and employment-related documents. The findings indicate that Indonesia’s employment sector continues to face several challenges, including high levels of workforce participation in the informal sector, a mismatch between workers’ competencies and labor market demands (skill mismatch), increasing automation, and growing demand for digital skills. At the same time, globalization and technological development have created opportunities through the emergence of new types of employment, expanded access to international labor markets, the growth of the digital economy, and increasing opportunities in sustainable economic sectors, particularly green jobs. The review also indicates that improving the quality of education and training, particularly vocational education, as well as strengthening reskilling and upskilling initiatives, is necessary to enhance the adaptability and competitiveness of Indonesia’s workforce. Therefore, adaptive employment strategies are needed through strengthening human resource quality, improving the relevance of education to industry needs, developing digital skills, and fostering collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and industry. These efforts are essential to transform the challenges posed by globalization into opportunities for increasing the productivity and competitiveness of Indonesia’s workforce.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the modern era has brought significant changes to human life. While providing various conveniences, these developments have also given rise to a range of spiritual challenges, including increasing anxiety, materialism, individualism, and a crisis of meaning in life. This condition highlights the importance of strengthening the spiritual dimension as an effort to achieve a balance between the material and spiritual aspects of human life. One of the important works in the Islamic Sufi tradition that contains teachings on spiritual purification, closeness to Allah, and moral development is Al-Hikam by Ibn 'Ata'illah al-Sakandari. This study aims to identify the Sufi values contained in Al-Hikam and analyze their relevance to contemporary human life. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Primary data were obtained from Al-Hikam, while secondary data were drawn from books, scholarly articles, and other relevant literature. The data were analyzed using content analysis through the stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Al-Hikam contains several fundamental Sufi values, including sincerity (ikhlas), reliance on God (tawakkul), patience (sabr), gratitude (shukr), contentment (rida), asceticism (zuhd), divine love (mahabbah), and spiritual vigilance (muraqabah). These values contribute to the development of virtuous character, the strengthening of spiritual resilience, the enhancement of mental well-being, and the cultivation of harmonious social relationships. Furthermore, the Sufi teachings of Al-Hikam remain relevant to contemporary life by reinforcing awareness of the importance of balancing personal effort, reliance on Allah, and social responsibility. Therefore, the Sufi values contained in Al-Hikam have significant relevance as a foundation for spiritual, moral, and social development in contemporary human life.

Abstract

Communication is a vital process for conveying information, ideas, and messages, serving as the foundation for building relationships and cooperation within both communities and organizations. In an organizational context, communication plays a key role in coordinating activities, fostering internal and external relationships, and supporting the achievement of organizational goals. Advancements in information technology have driven the evolution of organizational communication through the use of digital marketing and digital branding strategies to disseminate information, promote businesses, and establish organizational identity and image via digital media. Leveraging such technology is crucial for Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as they seek to grow their businesses and expand their marketing reach. This MBKM (Independent Learning, Independent Campus) initiative aims to optimize the Rukuramba Village BUMDes by strengthening digital marketing and digital branding for its vehicle-washing business unit. The primary challenge identified was the limited use of digital media for communication and promotion, resulting in suboptimal marketing reach. The initiative was carried out through planning, preparation, and implementation phases, involving coordination with the village government and BUMDes management, material presentation, discussions, and the creation of a visual identity logo, brochures, and an Instagram account for digital communication and promotion. The results indicate an improved understanding among BUMDes management and members regarding digital marketing and branding, as well as the availability of digital media tools to support the promotion of the vehicle-washing business. This initiative is expected to expand marketing reach, strengthen business identity, enhance competitiveness, and support the long-term sustainability of the Rukuramba Village BUMDes business.
