Journal of Community Service for the Indonesian Society is a peer-reviewed journal published by Berlian Pustaka Indonesia. At the national level, many cover general issues or issues related to community service. Publishing this journal aims to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of community service. Journal of Community Service for the Indonesian Society, publishes the results of service articles consistently. The Indonesian Community Service Journal publishes a new edition twice a year. The Indonesian Community Service Journal has published both a printed (book) and an electronic (PDF) version. The Journal of Community Service for the Indonesian Society accepts rigorous articles that have never been offered for publication elsewhere. The Indonesian Community Service Journal focuses on issues related to social humanities that are relevant to the development of theory and practice in Indonesia and Southeast Asia in particular and also in the world. Therefore, the Journal of Community Service for the Indonesian Society also accepts articles from Indonesian authors and other countries.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out that transportation development aims to improve efficient, effective, reliable, quality, safe, affordable transportation services. Realizing integrated national transportation with regional development, a distribution system that can provide community services, increasing adequate rural-urban networks (RPJM Dirjendat Kemenhub RI). The method used in this research is literature study in which information is obtained from various reading sources such as books, journals, and websites that are still related to research studies. The results of this study are the way Pemko Medan in overcoming traffic jams that occur in Medan City, especially traffic jams that occur at Simpang Aksara, Medan Tembung District based on applicable laws

Abstract

This research was conducted in sub-districts that are suitable for nomophobia settlements in Medan City. The purpose of this study was to find out the social life of nomophobic teenagers in the social environment and to find out the positive and negative impacts of gadgets on teenagers. Subjects in this study amounted to 3 informants. Writing using descriptive qualitative method and analyzing data qualitatively and using the technique of taking the subject with the Snowball Sampling method. Data instruments in the form of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of the research conducted, the researchers found that addicts who are addicted to gadgets or nomophobia have a social life that leads to negative impacts and decreased levels of achievement due to not being able to divide time between playing gadgets and being responsible. students and children in the household. The essence of this research is that there are more negative impacts on teenagers who are addicted to gadgets than the positive impacts caused by adolescent nomophobia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the analysis of income and expenditure management and village finances. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method and the data source used is primary data obtained by in-depth interviews and observations with Amplas village. Along with economics development in Indonesia, the government issued a Village fund allocation program to improve community service facilities, in the form of meeting basic needs, strengthening village institutions and other activities needed by village communities by making decisions through deliberations. Village Fund Allocations are balancing funds received by districts/cities in the district/city regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) after deducting the Special Allocation Funds. this research was conducted in Sandpaper village, Percut Sei Sir districts, Deli Serdang regency, North Sumatra province.

Abstract

This research aims to provide training on the use of digital media and digital applications in developing teacher personality branding in the challenges of generation Z. Generation Z, as a generation that grows up in the digital era, has different preferences and needs in terms of learning and interactions with teachers. This study uses a qualitative approach involving participants consisting of teachers who have attended training on the use of digital media and digital applications. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results showed that this training had a positive impact on developing effective teracher personality branding for generation Z. Teachers who participated in the training experienced increased knowledge and skills in using digital media and digital applications relevant to the needs of generation Z. They were able to create interesting and relevant content, build strong relationships with students, and utilize social media platforms to expand the reach and influence of teachers. In addition, this training also increases teachers' understanding of the characteristics of Generation Z, including their preferences in learning, communication styles, and use of technology. Trained teachers can harness the power of digital media and digital applications to create more interactive, collaborative and relevant learning experiences for generation Z.

Abstract

This article documents the community service program implemented in Tembung Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, with a focus on developing physical education and sports in elementary schools. This program is designed to address some of the main challenges faced by teachers in the region, such as limited human resources, lack of knowledge about innovative teaching methods, and a lack of curriculum that is integrated with students' physical health and well-being. Through a series of training activities, development of sports facilities, and active collaboration between the foundation, local government and community, this program has succeeded in achieving various significant results and outcomes. This article details the implementation methods, results achieved, as well as plans for the next stages of the program, including efforts to involve the community more actively, development of extracurricular programs, further training for teachers, and development of more complete sports facilities. This article also highlights the main conclusions of the program, important suggestions for continuing the program, and references used in developing the program and writing this article.

Abstract

The aim of this training is to help teachers create teaching materials that not only educate, but also introduce students to the richness of their culture, thereby improving the learning experience and strengthening knowledge of Indonesian among elementary school students. This training was carried out in the form of educational game training based on Malay culture. The training was held at SD Negeri 050708 Kampung Teluk on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, which started at 08.00 - 16.00 Wib. There were 25 participants who took part in the training, the participants consisted of 2 speakers and 23 teachers from SD Negeri 050708 Kampung Teluk. The methods used in training activities are the friendly method, practice and discussion. Meanwhile, the steps for implementing training activities are: (a) preparation stage, (b) implementation stage, (c) monitoring stage. This training has been carried out well in accordance with the expectations of the service team and partner schools. After completing the training, the service team distributed questionnaires to the participants, which aimed to find out to what extent the participants understood the material about educational games based on Malay culture that had been explained by the presenters. From the overall results of the questionnaire consisting of 10 statements that were filled in by the participants, it was found that the average percentage was 963.35%, so it can be concluded that the participants were very interested and enthusiastic in taking part in this training.
