Abstract

The main principle in shaping the identity of Indonesia as a multiracial country is the importance of values in life and social interaction, especially the virtue of tolerance.  The author highlights the need to build tolerance at a young age in this context through early childhood education, which focuses on establishing a learning environment that supports and encourages the development of children according to their age group. To characterize and explain the findings of the researchers, this study used descriptive qualitative research methodology.  This strategy is in accordance with the purpose of the study, which is to study how early childhood educators in TK Sejahtera Citeko in Plered Regency teach tolerance to their children.  In schools, tolerance is essential to create a morally upright social atmosphere. The needs of students, the educational environment, and existing resources should be considered when creating a lesson plan.  To encourage the growth of young students, educators must look for appropriate learning strategies and media.  The purpose of the evaluation is to find and correct deficiencies in the educational process.  According to the findings of the study, the tolerant character quality of early childhood students is formed when tolerance is regularly incorporated into daily learning activities.

Abstract

The poor learning outcomes of Grade 1 science students at SDN Number 1, where many students scored below the minimum competency standard (KKM), was the impetus behind this study. The discovery approach was seen as a substitute for improving these results, which has led to additional investigation into its efficacy. Finding out how many students benefit from using the discovery model to improve science learning outcomes is the goal of this project. Second graders participated in this classroom action research project, which collected data through observation sheets, assessments, and documentation. The findings show how the discovery model improved student achievement. Only 6 students (21%) met the requirements before implementation. This increased to 17 students (59%), and 26 students (90%) achieved proficiency in Cycle II. Thus, at SDN Number 1, the discovery approach successfully improved science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the whole language approach at SDN Tanjung Jati 2, located in Kamal Sub-district, Bangkalan Regency, has improved the reading skills of first grade students. This research is a classroom action study, where students and tests are directly observed to collect data. Two research cycles were conducted: the first cycle and the second cycle. The research findings show that the children's reading skills have improved. The percentage of students who met the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) increased from 30% in the first cycle to 78% in the second cycle. These results support the idea that teaching Indonesian through the whole language method can improve students' reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of improving students' skills and learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject of the Merdeka Curriculum by using the STAD Type Cooperative model in class 1 SD Negeri 1 Keleyan. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects are first grade students of SD Negeri 1 Keleyan, totaling 20 students. The PTK design uses a model that includes planning, action and observation, and reflection. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive statistics. The results of the research by applying the STAD type cooperative model have improved learning outcomes in two cycles, this can be seen from the completeness of KKM, from cycle I to cycle II activities. With the results of the first cycle of reading skills completeness of 50% and learning outcomes of 50%. And in cycle II the percentage increase in reading skills reached 80%, learning outcomes 90%. The discussion method is an important method in applying the STAD Type Cooperative model, as well as the use of learning media that affects learning outcomes in research. Thus it can be concluded that the STAD Type Cooperative Model can improve the reading skills of 1st grade students of SD Negeri 1 Keleyan. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the STAD Type Cooperative model in thematic learning can improve students' skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study looks at how well the creativity of fourth grade social studies students of Tampojung Tenggina Elementary School is enhanced by the Science, Technology and Society (STS) learning paradigm. The research was conducted in two cycles with a classroom action research (CAR) approach. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, with modifications made in response to teacher observations. Students' capacity to connect academic ideas with real-world situations was enhanced during the first cycle as they worked together in groups to examine the relationship between natural resources and local economic growth. By linking natural resources to economic expansion, the second cycle further strengthened their understanding while fostering their critical thinking and creative abilities. These results are consistent with previous studies on how well STS models improve learning outcomes and process skills. Nonetheless, this study uses SITS in a novel way to promote critical thinking in social studies, demonstrating its efficacy as a method of combining classroom teaching with real-world situations.

Abstract

Learning learning methods, which serve as tools to achieve educational goals, is very important. Despite the availability of various approaches, teachers often rely on lectures as their main method. This research examines the impact of the Nyanyi Lagu method on student learning outcomes. As an interactive approach, Nyanyikan Lagu actively involves students in the learning process. Conducted as a classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, this study involved 22 fourth grade students of SDN Kauman II. Data was collected through multiple choice tests, observations, and interviews. Before using Nyanyi Lagu, the students' average score was 69.55. This increased to 76.36 in the first cycle and 84.09 in the second cycle, with success rates of 59.09% and 81.81% respectively. This method effectively improved learning outcomes by 22.72%. Although Nyanyikan Lagu is suitable for elementary school, its implementation should be supported with interesting media to maintain students' interest.

Abstract

Students' interest in reading and writing was found to be quite low, with the percentage of interest in reading and writing ranging from 60% to 65%, according to observations made in Class IV of SD Negeri Tanjung VI. This is because the School Literacy Movement (GSL) is only implemented in the classroom and is limited to textbooks. Since most of the things that children use are text-based, as a result they become disinterested in reading very quickly. This study aims to find out and describe the effect of using posters as a tool to increase students' enthusiasm for reading at SDN Tanjung VI. All eight Grade IV students at SDN Tanjung VI constituted the study population, and a total sampling technique (also known as saturated sampling) was used. This study falls under the category of classroom action research (CAR) and used data collection methods, including documentation, questionnaires, interviews, and observation. Questionnaires and observation sheets were among the research tools. Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to examine the collected data. The results showed that the use of posters increased literacy interest, both in Cycle I and Cycle II. Students' enthusiasm in reading and writing literacy increased from 72% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. This finding shows that students' enthusiasm in reading and writing literacy was positively influenced by the use of posters.
