Abstract

Literature studies indicate that implementing clinical authority can enhance the quality of nursing care. However, many hospitals still have not fully applied clinical authority aligned with nurses' career paths. This research explores the impact of clinical authority on nurses' performance, both directly and indirectly, through situational leadership in Hospital X. Using a mixed-method approach with a parallel concurrent triangulation model, the study collected quantitative data via questionnaires from 300 nurses using total sampling. Descriptive crosstab analysis revealed no significant differences in perceptions of clinical authority, performance, and situational leadership based on individual characteristics. Structural Equation Modeling showed that clinical authority positively and significantly affects nurse performance. Qualitative data were gathered through focus group discussions with 13 nurses and semi-structured interviews with senior nursing managers. Thematic analysis identified six key themes: positive impacts on performance, the role of situational leadership styles, strategies to optimize nursing services, encountered obstacles, competitive challenges, and motivation to enhance care. The qualitative findings indicated that clinical authority fosters nurses' responsibility, adherence to standards, mutual trust, teamwork, and improved communication and caring attitudes. The corroboration of quantitative and qualitative analyses demonstrated alignment, confirming that clinical authority significantly influences nurse performance. To improve nursing care quality, hospitals are encouraged to implement structured career paths for nurses, ensuring that clinical authority is supported at every level

Abstract

The current phenomenon shows that teenagers often need more confidence in making career decisions. This study aimed to identify differences in the level of Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE) between male and female students in Senior High School (SMA). The type of research used was quantitative and used a comparative method. The population of this study was 640 students in grades XI and XII in high school. The sample of this study was 200 students taken using a random sampling technique. The method used in collecting data was a questionnaire. The instrument used was the CDMSES-SF scale developed by N.E. Betz. The data analysis technique used in this study was non-parametric analysis with the Mann-Whitney test. The results obtained from the data analysis showed significant differences in the level of CDMSE between male and female students. Male students have higher CDMSE than female students. For male students, special attention is needed on the planning and goal selection aspects, while for female students, it is on the planning aspect. These results suggest that male and female students need different approaches to career guidance, especially in planning and goal selection.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of contingency theory research, particularly in the public sector. The inductive approach of a series of studies with the goal of theoretical development in the field of investigation served as the foundation for the research methodology and design. We focus on the publication in journals indexed on the Scopus database. A quantitative bibliometric analysis is carried out. 159 articles on the topic were located. We also identified the authors, journals, nations/regions, and the number of citations that contributed most to the growth of the investigation in this research topic by encouraging the analysis of strict bibliometric tools. To better understand the evaluation of the research topic, we use the VOSviewer software. As a result, despite a very slow start in 1979, this field of study has significantly expanded in recent years. There was a total of 13 documents published in 2019 and 2022, and so far in 2024, 9 documents have been published. With 44 documents published, the United States is the country or territory that has conducted most of this research; Indonesia is in sixth place with 9 documents.

Abstract

One of the serious challenges facing Indonesia is unemployment. Statistical data published by BPS in 2020 recorded the number of unemployed people in Indonesia at 9.77 million people. The Global Competitiveness Index explains that Indonesia is far behind compared to neighboring countries Indonesia is still in 50th position with a score of 64.5 while Malaysia is in 27th position with a score of 74.6. Singapore alone is in first place in the world with a score of 84.8. One of the efforts to overcome this problem is to provide PBK activities to the community, so that they can be absorbed in the world of work and industry. This study aims to analyze how competency needs and the availability of training facilities affect the level of participant participation. The research method used is a survey approach with a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The sample of this study was 106 respondents out of 144 participants. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. Data analysis was conducted with multiple linear regression. The results showed that competency needs have a significant effect on the level of participant participation (p-value: 0.002 <?.0.05). Likewise, the existence of training facilities has a significant effect on the level of participation of PBK participants at LLK Selong (p-value: 0.049 <?.0.05). Based on the conclusions of this study, it is recommended to pay attention to the competency needs of participants and provide adequate training facilities to increase participation in PBK activities at LLK Selong, East Lombok Regency

Abstract

Japanese is one of the foreign languages taught in formal and informal educational institutions in Indonesia. The development of Japanese language learners is increasing quantitatively. In foreign language courses, native and non-native teachers collaborate on pedagogical tasks. This trend is also happening in Japanese foreign language courses. In addition, there are around 6,617 non-native Japanese language teachers (Japan Foundation, 2021). There is an argument that Native Japanese Speaker Teacher's (NJST) has many advantages over Native Japanese Speaker Teacher's (NNJSTs) and that students prefer NNJSTs over NJST, but the argument must be assessed. Many researchers have explored students' perceptions of NJSTs and NNJSTs worldwide in formal education institutions but not in the non-formal education institution sector. This study aims to explore the perception of Indonesian students towards NNJSTs in non-formal educational institutions, namely LPK Fuji Academy Singaraja with all samples coming from active students registered from January to August 2024. This study is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach conducted using an instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire based on the Likert scale. This study revealed that the perception of male and female students did not have a significant difference in their teaching competence based on the theory of Nuibe et al (2006). Male participants rated NNJSTs higher in terms of teaching effectiveness and communication skills, with an average score of 9.8. In contrast, female respondents gave slightly lower ratings in these areas with an average of 7.1. Furthermore, through this research, students need NNJSTs more because they allow for a successful learning process because of effective learning strategies. In addition, NNJSTs also help students in facing difficulties and challenges in their learning process.

Abstract

The sustainable supply chain sector is increasingly becoming an important concern in Indonesia, especially amidst the threats of climate change, environmental degradation, and exploitation of natural resources. This study aims to identify the challenges, opportunities, and strategies faced by pentahelix stakeholders in realizing a sustainable supply chain in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection technique in this study is through literature studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that efforts to realize a sustainable supply chain in Indonesia require strong collaboration between the government, academics, business, society, and the media. Pentahelix is ??the right strategy to ensure that each stakeholder plays its role optimally. By taking advantage of existing opportunities, such as increasing consumer demand for environmentally friendly products and strong government support and overcoming challenges through technological innovation and comprehensive policy development, Indonesia has great potential to become a leader in sustainable business practices at the global level.

Abstract

Indonesia is a nation rich in diversity, encompassing a variety of ethnic groups, religions, languages, and cultures. The concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika—"Unity in Diversity"—reflects this pluralism, advocating for peaceful coexistence despite differences, embodying the essence of Pancasila, the foundational ideology of the country. The national motto, symbolized by the Garuda Pancasila emblem, signifies the unity of the Indonesian people. This study aims to demonstrate that the challenges facing Indonesia's adherence to Pancasila can be addressed through the application of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Using qualitative research methods, particularly library research, data were collected from various sources including books, academic journals, and recent studies. The results emphasize that Bhinneka Tunggal Ika has long been a cornerstone of national unity and a symbol of Indonesia's rich diversity. Implementing Pancasila’s values in alignment with this motto fosters national welfare and underscores the importance of tolerance and interfaith harmony. Additionally, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika plays a vital role in raising awareness of nationalism and reinforcing societal cohesion.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common non-communicable diseases worldwide, with its prevalence increasing with age. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that about 1.13 billion people in the world suffer from hypertension, and this number is expected to increase to 1.5 billion by 2025. Self-management is becoming an important approach in hypertension management, which includes the ability of individuals to manage their own health through blood pressure monitoring, dietary regulation, physical activity, and adherence to medication. This study aims to explore the influence of factors such as knowledge, social support, physical condition, and access to health services on self-management skills in the elderly with hypertension. The method used was a correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach, involving elderly respondents with hypertension in Aceh Besar. The results of the analysis show that housing conditions and family support are the main predictors in self-management, with the highest R-Square value of 0.840. Knowledge also contributed significantly, while the distance of health services showed a smaller influence. In conclusion, to improve self-management in the elderly with hypertension, it is important to apply a holistic approach that considers social, environmental, and health education factors. Integrated interventions can help the elderly manage their condition more effectively, improve their quality of life, and reduce complications related to hypertension.
