Abstract

This study aims to test and explain the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents who were Polimart customers at the Manado State Polytechnic, with a sampling technique using the accidental sampling method. The data collected was analyzed through a series of statistical tests, including instrument validity and reliability tests, linearity tests, simple regression analysis, and hypothesis tests (t-tests). The results of the analysis show that customer satisfaction has an insignificant negative influence on customer loyalty. This indicates that while customer satisfaction is important, other factors may be more dominant in influencing customer loyalty. These findings provide insight that the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty is not always linear or direct, especially in the context of Polimart. This research suggests that Polimart re-evaluate the factors that can increase customer loyalty more effectively. For example, paying attention to aspects of the overall customer experience, offering attractive loyalty programs, or creating a strong emotional connection between customers and brands. Thus, managers can design more comprehensive marketing strategies to increase customer loyalty, regardless of the level of satisfaction felt. These findings also open up further research opportunities to explore other factors that may be more significant in influencing customer loyalty in educational retail environments such as Polimart.

Abstract

This research focuses on the academic condition at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik which has begun to implement the value of religious moderation. However, these values still need to be internalized more deeply in order to solve problems by referring to the principle of religious moderation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of collection, reduction, data presentation, and verification of conclusion drawn, with data validity tests using method triangulation techniques, member checks, and long-term utilization. The results of the study show that: 1) The concept of internalization of religious moderation at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik starts from the seven principles of religious moderation in the Progressive Islamic Treatise which is translated into the Internal Quality Assurance System of Muhammadiyah-Aisyiyah Higher Education (SPMI PTMA). Further implementation is described in the vision, mission, and Semester Learning Plan (RPS) of each course. 2) Lecturers' efforts in implementing religious moderation involve three stages: externalization, objectification, and internalization of national values, tolerance, and pluralism in classroom learning practices. This study provides an overview of the importance of strengthening the internalization of religious moderation in the context of higher education to form the character of students who are tolerant and committed to national values.

Abstract

The financing of terrorism in Indonesia, has become increasingly complex due to the involvement of various domestic terrorist organizations. These groups obtain funds through diverse sources such as direct donations, membership fees, self-funding, and the misuse of non-profit organizations (NPOs). This study aims to explore and analyze the potential and challenges of utilizing advanced technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), in preventing terrorist financing in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data from FATF reports and related literature. The findings indicate that AI and ML can significantly enhance the detection and investigation of suspicious financial activities, provide real-time transaction monitoring, and facilitate inter-agency collaboration. However, challenges such as data limitations, regulatory complexity, high implementation costs, and data security and privacy issues must be addressed to fully leverage these technologies. This study provides recommendations for developing a supportive regulatory framework, enhancing inter-agency cooperation, and investing in better data infrastructure to effectively utilize AI and ML in combating terrorist financing.

Abstract

This research aims to examine political ethics towards government policies, political culture towards government policies, political ethics towards public trust, political culture towards public trust, and government policies towards public trust. The data analysis method employed is quantitative, specifically utilizing correlational research. Correlational research is a general approach focused on estimating covariation among naturally occurring variables. The objective of correlational research is to identify predictive relationships using correlation techniques or statistical methods. The research findings indicate that political ethics significantly influence government policies. Based on the results, it is evident that the public holds a highly positive view of the political ethics of their politicians, indicating a strong belief that politicians operate with high ethical standards in carrying out their public duties. The findings also demonstrate that political culture significantly impacts government policies. This implies that changes or improvements in political culture can directly and significantly influence the direction of policies adopted by local governments. Political ethics have a significant impact on public trust. The data shows that adherence to norms and the adoption of ethical guidelines are crucial factors in building public trust in politicians. Political culture also has a significant influence on effective public trust, consistent with regional development plans, providing measurable outcomes, and undergoing continuous evaluation, which are critical factors in enhancing public trust. Government policies have a significant positive impact on public trust, reflecting the government's commitment to ensuring that implemented policies are not only beneficial but also transparent and accountable.

Abstract

The interest in the concept of internal controls system has been growing consistently over the past few years to study the use and the effectivity of this system, particularly in government. Yet, a comprehensive and updated review of this field is still lacking. In this paper, we use bibliometric analysis and VOSviewer software to investigate the research related to the government internal control. Focusing on publications in journals indexed in the Scopus database, we conducted a quantitative bibliometric analysis from 1970 to 2023 and found 397 journal articles. Result shows that it has grown considerably in the last few years. We were also able to identify the authors, journals, nations or regions, and citation counts that helped to grow the body of research on this topic. Indonesia is the nation with the greatest number of published documents related to the topic, followed by China, the United States, and other countries. According to the author's keywords, accountability, control, ethics, fraud, governance, Malaysia, and performance have all received a lot of attention. In the end, we draw the conclusion that more interdisciplinary research is required to gather information and to improve the study by employing different analytical tools.

Abstract

Current education has not fully paid attention to the development of students' personalities as a whole, with there still being a dichotomy between science, institutions, and educational concepts. Therefore, a holistic character education model is needed that integrates religious education with the general curriculum and emphasizes mastery of science and technology to produce students with character and develop as a whole. This study aims to analyze the concept, implementation, and impact of character-based holistic education in SMP Ar-Rohmah Islamic Boarding School (IBS) Malang. With a qualitative approach based on case studies, data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using triangulation of data sources. The results of the study show that character-based holistic education at Ar-Rohmah IBS Junior High School includes: (1) Concepts formulated based on holistic education values as graduation standards; (2) Implementation consisting of three stages: planning (determining grades, teacher training, and providing facilities), implementation (integrating character values into lessons, methods, school programs, and communication between components), and evaluation through coordination meetings and integral report cards; (3) Positive impacts in the form of improving the quality of graduates who have strong faith, superior academic and non-academic achievements, and high independence, as well as increasing public trust in this institution. This educational model emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to produce a generation with character and able to compete in the modern era.

Abstract

To accelerate the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to reduce community activities to suppress the spread of the virus. However, the implementation of this policy presents challenges, especially related to the authority of the local government in Banten Province and the strategies used in the emergency condition. This research uses McMahon's theory of authority, which divides authority into three categories: expert authority, promise authority, and cooperate authority. Local government strategies are analyzed using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) approach. This research is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data was obtained through observation triangulation, interviews, and document review, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the authority of local governments in the conditions of PSBB/PPKM is very limited because they must obtain permission from the Ministry of Health and follow the provisions set by the central government. The strategies implemented include: (1) Strength-Opportunity, by utilizing the support of other parties and increasing public awareness; (2) Weakness-Opportunity, in the form of strengthening policy control through cooperation with the TNI/Polri and cross-sector coordination; (3) Strength-Threat, educating the public and meeting basic needs during PSBB/PPKM; and (4) Weakness-Threat, tightening policies and licensing to increase public compliance. This strategy is designed to optimize the role of local governments in dealing with emergency conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and financial inclusion on the financial management of Catholic Young People (OMK) of the Diocese of Maumere, with the locus of control as a moderation variable. Using a quantitative method with an associative approach, data was collected through a questionnaire from 335 OMK respondents spread across 41 parishes in the Diocese of Maumere. The data was analyzed using Smart-PLS version 3. The results showed that financial literacy and financial inclusion had a significant positive effect on financial management, while lifestyle had a significant negative influence. Locus of control has been proven to strengthen the positive influence of financial literacy and financial inclusion, as well as weaken the negative influence of lifestyle on financial management. This study concludes that financial literacy, financial inclusion, and locus of control are important factors that support more optimal financial management among OMK, while consumptive lifestyle is a challenge that needs to be overcome. Practical implications of this study include providing guidance to OMK and pastoral ministers to improve financial management skills, as well as recommendations for policymakers to improve financial literacy and access to financial services for young people.
