Abstract

Currently, we often encounter household waste and workshop waste, such as wood shavings, peanut shells and coconut fiber waste. Many studies have raised the topic of composite processing of each of them, but the potential of composite boards from a mixture of the three is not yet known. This study on the processing techniques for the combination of the three materials is needed so that the potential of the material can be explored more. The board was studied for its processing techniques using an experimental approach and qualitative methods. The form of the experiment in the form of physical and mechanical tests was carried out on the composite board, to then conduct further studies on the development of composite board products into women's fashion products in the form of bags through the preliminary design, development and finishing product methods. The results of this study were obtained composite materials of wood powder, peanut shell powder and coconut fiber having a board density of 0.8 gr/cm3 and MOR 2.06 kg/cm2, which means that the density of the particle board has a very low flexural strength and is not suitable for construction boards, but can be used as a material for making women's clutches. With the Preliminary Design, Design Development, and Final Design methods for composite board materials, an elegant clutch design was produced by displaying the distinctiveness of Indonesian culture, Kalimantan motif tumpar embroidery.

Abstract

The Bimoku Type A Cross Border Terminal located in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara, is a cross-border transport hub that has been operating since 2023. However, its performance has not been optimal and accessibility to this terminal is still low. This study aims to analyse the level of accessibility of public transport to the Type A Bimoku Cross-Border Terminal in Kupang City and provide recommendations for improving performance. The method used is Generalised Cost (GC) analysis with a do nothing and do something approach. The results show that the largest GC values in the existing conditions are in the Fatukoa, Naioni, and Bello zones. The implementation of the new route network in the do something scenario succeeded in significantly reducing the GC value, thereby increasing the accessibility and efficiency of transportation to the Bimoku Type A Cross Border Terminal in Kupang City. Recommendations are to develop new public transport routes and improve intermodal connectivity to support overall terminal performance.

Abstract

Whistleblowing is a crucial mechanism for maintaining organizational integrity by exposing unethical or illegal activities such as fraud, data manipulation, and policy violations. This study systematically reviews the psychological and organizational factors influencing whistleblowing behavior. Key psychological factors include moral responsibility, risk perception, self-control, and Machiavellianism, which can either encourage or deter individuals from reporting unethical conduct. Organizational factors such as culture, institutional support, and whistleblower protection policies significantly shape reporting intentions. Demographic and social factors, including age and proximity to fraudsters, also play a critical role. The review highlights that gaps exist in understanding how religious values, organizational structures, and protection mechanisms impact whistleblowing behavior. Addressing these gaps, this review provides recommendations for future research, emphasizing the need for robust organizational policies and support systems to foster transparency and accountability. By answering key research questions and identifying overlooked aspects, this review contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of whistleblowing, offering insights for organizations across various sectors to encourage effective fraud reporting.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of a country's human resources. In Indonesia, teacher quality is a major concern, as seen from the results of the Teacher Competency Test (UKG) in 2012 to 2015. Of the 1.6 million participants, 1.3 million teachers did not meet the minimum competency standards, which of course has an impact on the quality of education. To overcome this problem, attention must be focused on improving the quality of teachers, not just on changing the curriculum. Another challenge is the low level of active participation of teachers in school activities and technology adaptation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many teachers lack enthusiasm and innovation in implementing online learning. In this context, organizational commitment becomes important which is influenced by factors such as leadership style. This study examines the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment among junior high school teachers in Padang City, West Sumatra. Using a quantitative approach, data from 159 teachers in six schools were analyzed using SPSS version 26.0. The results showed that transformational leadership significantly influenced organizational commitment. This study emphasizes the importance of enhancing transformational leadership in strengthening teachers' organizational commitment. Educational organizations are expected to utilize these findings to improve teacher quality and support national education goals. This research also contributes knowledge to the world of education, especially for educational organizations in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes the vulnerability to disasters and the preparedness index of coastal communities in Kupang City, Indonesia, in facing tsunami risks. Employing a quantitative descriptive method, the research evaluates vulnerability across four categories: physical, social, economic, and environmental. The preparedness index was assessed using variables such as community knowledge, emergency response planning, disaster warning systems, and resource mobilization. The findings reveal that Kelurahan Fatubesi and Oesapa exhibit high vulnerability due to physical and social factors, while other areas demonstrate moderate vulnerability. The overall preparedness index of coastal communities is classified as "nearly ready," with Oesapa Barat and Oesapa showing better preparedness levels compared to other areas. The study emphasizes the need for enhancing disaster awareness, improving infrastructure, and developing community-based risk management strategies to mitigate the impact of tsunamis on coastal populations.

Abstract

This research aims to meet the need for improving the quality of teacher leadership at XYZ School as part of efforts to create effective education in the 21st century. The literature review highlights the importance of transformational and distributed leadership in the educational context to support collaboration and enhance learning outcomes. The leadership training model based on the 5 Leadership Voices was chosen for its relevance in recognizing and maximizing individual leadership styles. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Needs analysis shows that teachers face challenges in communication, classroom management, and collaboration. Therefore, the training design includes leadership voice assessment, collaborative workshops, coaching, and impact evaluation. This training is designed to enhance self-awareness, practical leadership skills, and contextual application in the school environment. The research results show that the implementation of the 5 Leadership Voices helps teachers create a collaborative work environment, improve communication, and motivate students through a flexible approach. Teachers also show improvement in classroom management and peer interactions. Impact evaluation indicates that this training is relevant for sustainably improving the quality of teacher leadership. In conclusion, this training model design provides a practical approach to support the professional development of teachers at XYZ School while creating an inclusive work culture that impacts the quality of education.
