Abstract

The problem in this study is to compare the humorous aspects of Si Kabayan's story with Abu Nawas and describe it according to the objectives of the research. The research method is qualitative with Koestler's psychological methods with applications in bisociation. The results of this study show similarities and differences between the characters in Si Kabayan's story with Abu Nawas. The main equation is that the sense of humor is high because of the large gap between the M1 and M2 levels of each story. Similarly, motives and mandates are similar to the ingenuity aspects used to deceive others. At the same time, the difference lies in the fact that Si Kabayan has a socio-cultural origin from the lower classes of Sundanese society. While Abu Nawas has a Middle Eastern culture with a social environment around the palace. Both stories are full of irony and paradox in the real life of each region. Abstract

In educational institutions, the existence of a head as a leader is very important and strategic. He acts and functions as the regulator and manager of educational institutions so that they work well and effectively. So leadership can be understood as a process of influencing in determining organizational goals, motivating followers' behavior to achieve goals, influencing to improve their groups and culture. Besides that it also influences the interpretation of events on followers, organization, and activities to achieve goals, maintain working relationships and group work, the acquisition of support for cooperation from people outside the group or organization. While education management is the process of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling in managing resources in the form of Man, Money, Materials, Method, Machines, Market, Minute and Information to achieve effective and efficient goals in the field of education. So the purpose of this study wants to know the implementation of leadership and management in educational institutions according to experts in their fields. Abstract

This study aims to describe an image of cooperative learning model application through constructive controversy method in building 21st century competencies towards English learning. This study uses descriptive qualitative which took place at the second grade of SMKN 1 Talaga, Majalengka. Collecting data is done by using observation, interview, and documentation. The results illustrate that the ability to communicate, collaborate, think critically, and creatively in students can be built through controversial issues which make them challenged to discuss actively, intensively, and comprehensively. The use of 'gambits' in form of asking and giving opinions is quite effective to encourage students to analyze (communicate actively and effectively) related to the issues raised, collaborate intensively on various ideas to make decisions, and formulate solutions by constructing ideas from various results of divergent thinking. Keywords: 21st century competencies; English learning; cooperative learning model; constructive controversy method; controversy issues

Abstract

The Pancasila Economic Democracy's adoption encountered significant cultural and psychological barriers. Democratic economic models have not yet produced sufficient outcomes. Contrarily, liberal capitalistic democracy is being practiced in this context.  This article discusses Economic Democracy as Indonesia’s economic system. This research is a library with a descriptive approach that collects documentation data from various articles and books and analyzed it through content analysis. This research’s results must balance planning between national and decentralization levels in implementing economic activities to reach economic and social justice. In addition, Indonesia can also build a more rational foundation of the peculiarities of economic activity so that it is not limited to religious values but involves cognitive awareness to realize ideals as stated in the Preamble of the UUD 1945. Current capability is viewed as a deficit that could become a tremendous strength in the future so that individuals will not be frightened of being different or taking risks.Keyword: Indonesia; Economic Democracy; The Concept and Reality of Failure.

Abstract

This article discusses quantitative research through descriptive method of case study at offcampus PKG training and PKB Aliyah madrasah teacher in Kanmenag Cirebon City. This research is to measure the success of the training through the kirkpatric evaluation model. Evaluation was conducted in 4 stages; Measurement of the success of the training by applying the kirkpatrick evaluation model through four stages. Assessment stage 1: reaction level using the participants' assessment questionnaire on the implementation of training and assessment of widyaiswara. Assessment of participants on the implementation of training average of 85.98 and the assessment of the participants against the widyaiswara of 87.78. Phase 2, the level of learning measurement of training participants includes three aspects, knowledge, skills and attitudes. The average pretest score was 43 and the highest score was 77, the average score of postes 81. The average of pretest and posttest results increased by 65. The average score of the product was 91.66 and the attitude was 88.66. Of the 3 aspects assessed the average score of 80 over the criteria of at least 76.00, then it can be said at this level works well. Phase 3, the quantitative level of behavior average score of the 4 aspects of 3.7. Indicating at this level changes behavior well. While in stage 4 the result level (result level) obtained an average score of 3.8 indicating alumni diklat can improve his career as the impact of training results.  Key words:The success rate of the training, the evaluation model of kirkpatrick.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in understanding of google classroom as multimedia learning with the blended learning method. Utilizing google classroom can help with the collection of tasks, very efficient in terms of costs and users. The design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design, the sample was 30 subject mater teachers assigned to Madrasah Tsanawiyah at the Ministry of Religion in Tasikmalaya regency. The results of the pretest with an average value of 47 and posttest 76 on a scale of 100, while the normalized gain value is at the value of 0.53 with the medium category, it can be said there is an increase in understanding of google classroom in the substantive training of increasing multimedia competency. Keywords: google classroom, understanding, blended learning

Abstract

This study aims to describe the existence of cultural and civic-based religious tolerance education at SDN 04 Sipkanyin in the media moderation 4.0 era. This research uses a qualitative approach, case study model. The research data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that SDN 04 Sipkanyin has displayed the existence of religious tolerance through learning, school culture, and student self-development by utilizing existing modern technology. Through learning, lesson plan, implementation, assessment, and evaluation are succesfully observed. The academic culture is sensed through installing school’s vision and mission, and discipline. Religious cooperation and guidance are manisfested through democratic culture. Students' self-development is executed through routine extracurricular activities, literacy, religious harmony movies, morning apples, and Monday ceremonies. Spontaneous activities are in form of reprimands, advice, and praise. Exemplary is given through the provision of examples by teachers. Abstract

The contestation phenomenon between Muslim and Christian groups in the context of social-religious relation. This relation affects the conflict and also cohesion (peace). The tensity between Muslim and Christian groups that happened at the arena of preaching and strengthening the reliogion teaching namely mission of bible in Christian (evangelism) and also dakwah islamiyah (amar ma’ruf, nahi’ munkar). The tensity did not rise the conflict and violence because of local wisdoms, namely the dialogue mechanism or rembug kampung that met both groups to reconsile. The peace between Muslim and Christian groups is established because the cooperation, undertanding and the experiences of cultural values gave the room to the both groups to build the solidarity, communication or dialogue and cooperation. Cultural velues such as tepo seliro (emphaty), unggah-ungguh (polite and impolite ethics), lung tinulung (helping each other), giving food each other, visiting each other, rembug (musyawarah/discussion), slametan (thanks giving) are able to be understood and actualized to internalize inclusive attitudes to water the harmony between religions adherents. Therefore concludes that culture is the dominant factor in building the peace relation among the different religions groups (Islam and Christian). If the religions groups had applied the velues of local wisdoms, then the gate of religion harmonious is opened largely. Key words : contestation, Islam, Christian, Peace, conflict

Abstract

Languages nowadays are on the way to its disappearance, with almost 50% of them in the process of extinction. The most effective to language preservation is by way using the media. Jurieen Survey (2016) elaborates that 61% of TV viewers fond of watching humor programs, one of which is stand up comedy. Hence, TV media is expected to contribute on language preservation, Bahasa Indonesia in particular. How significant the influence of stand up comedy and what aspects of comedy represent against language preservation are the two primary focuses on the research. Based on the data sources and analysis results, Four aspects of stand-up comedy cover: linguistic, social, economic and religious. The conclusion is stand up comedy can be an effective mean to preserve language and to educate the community. Stand up comedy would be easily accepted and digested by the community, due to its light and humorous presentation style.Keyword: language preservation; mass media; humor

Abstract

This study aims to examine mainstreaming strategies through new media in the cyber world as an effort to find alternative formulation on enriching religious moderation’s life. The methodology used in this study is qualitative through intertextuality techniques. The findings show the results of data collected. All those three stages have emerged religious moderation cyber. As a result, it turns out that media provides convenience for religious people in accessing information and establishing relationships, but on the other hand the media is also often used as a channel to spread radical understanding, hoaxes, and spread hatred.        Keywords: Religious Moderation; Mainstreaming Strategy; New Media Literacy
