Abstract

The internalization of discipline is a necessary character value to follow the many regulations of a school. Students at SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Negeri 7 in the South Halmahera Regency were surveyed for this study with the hope of encouraging them to adopt a more disciplined mindset. Qualitative research techniques were used for this analysis. Using an approach based on habituation of disciplinary values, experience, and exercises to strengthen discipline values, and exemplary application by exemplary teachers and students as role models. The results showed that SMA Negeri 1 and SMA Negeri 7 in South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province successfully internalized disciplinary values. Students who 1) arrive at school promptly at 7.00 WIT; 2) read a short letter for 15 minutes before beginning the lesson; and 3) stay for 5 minutes after the end of class to sing the national anthem are more likely to internalize the discipline. These three activities are performed daily. The cultivation of discipline in students, particularly through adherence to established norms and programs, enables them to effectively incorporate these principles into their daily lives. Keywords: values internalization; character; students’ discipline; senior high school

Abstract

This study attempts to get a general understanding of technology management in training and education. This research employs a qualitative approach with the literature method. The findings indicated that management actions serve as the key support for educational technology to provide outcomes that are consistent with the goals. The successful management of educational technology by human resources within educational institutions is essential to its implementation in educational institutions. If there is a trained workforce in the area of educational technology who can 1) design learning processes and resources, with the scope of work including designing learning systems, message design, learning strategies, and learner characteristics, then educational technology can be developed and used properly; 2) create educational materials and methods, such as the advancement of print technology, audiovisual technology, computer-based technology, and integrated technology; 3) use learning procedures and tools, such as learning media, educational innovation dissemination, and rules and guidelines adoption governing education and training; 4) manage learning resources and processes with project management, and education-training management information systems, etc.; and 5) evaluate problem analysis, benchmark reference measurement, the formative and summative assessment included in the evaluation. Keywords: Management; Educational Technology; Education; Learning; Training

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to outline initiatives taken at Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in the Sandai Subdistrict of Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, to enhance students' comprehension of the Pancasila doctrine. The study uses a descriptive research design and a qualitative methodology. Interviews are used as part of data gathering methods, and Pattern Matching is used to analyze the data. The study's findings show that the pupils have received formal education, which is taught to them at their individual school levels, in an effort to improve their comprehension of Pancasila doctrine. In order to develop people with a solid grasp of religious knowledge, non-formal education also plays a significant role. It focuses on areas that are prioritized for students throughout their time at the boarding school. Hadith doctrines, theology, jurisprudence, ethics, and Qur'anic interpretation are a few examples. These courses are taught with the goal of making sure that students acquire strong moral, social, and personal standards as well as information, particularly in the area of religious studies. Abstract

This study was undertaken to develop an e-Module based on a scientific method that can teach critical thinking skills on the issue of buffer solutions that are legitimate, practical, and successful. This development research employs a 4-D methodology (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Validity, practicality, and efficacy are the three limits assessed. Data is analyzed using quantitative descriptive approaches. The E-Module produced has a validity of 3.31 with extremely valid criteria, a practicality of 90%, an effectiveness of 83.33%, an N-gain score of 0.69, an average completion of 83.33%, and an 88% response rate from students. The E-Module is acceptable for class XI due to its validity, practicality, and efficacy. The e-modules that have been created can supplement existing instructional resources at madrasas. Keywords: critical thinking skills; e-module; scientific approach; buffer solution

Abstract

This study examines the role of widyaiswara in research activities, specifically the usage of digital literacy and artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific publications. Using descriptive and inferential analysis (Fisher Exact Test and Dummy regression), it was discovered that 87.5% of respondents had participated in scientific publications, with 65% serving as main authors, whereas 7.5% had never written. As many as 81.25% of widyaiswara perform scientific searches, while just 34.38% use reference management tools. The Fisher test revealed a substantial correlation between publication type and scientific search utilization, but not with reference management systems. The usage of AI in publications remains minimal, with just 16.1% of respondents using it, and there is no meaningful association with publication type. Regression models suggest that digital literacy considerably increases the number of scientific publications, but AI has not been widely used. Overall, widyaiswara's level of technology use and digital literacy remains poor when it comes to publishing scientific articles in the digital era. Keywords: Widyaiswara; Digital Transformation; Scientific Publication; Digital Literacy; Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Abstract

The post-COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in learning loss in almost all subjects, including science learning. In addition, there is a decrease in motivation in capturing learning. In contrast, 21st-century education demands literacy skills accompanied by competencies and characters that lead to lifelong learning. Therefore, services in the form of technology that can improve students' skills and interests are needed, one of which is using virtual reality. This technology is believed to be a future asset that can help students construct their cognitive structures. Thus, this study aims to examine the use of virtual reality technology in improving meaningful learning in science learning at school. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through a literature review of Google Scholar and Scopus-indexed journals.  The data that has been collected is analyzed by correlating the relationship between the use of virtual reality with meaningful learning in science subjects. After that, it ends by elaborating on the ideas in this article. Based on studies that have been conducted, it is found that virtual reality is a 3D technology that helps visualize science concepts that combine the real and virtual worlds (immersive) so that learning is more interactive. Despite its great potential, this technology should be used as a supporting tool, not a substitute for human interaction in learning. Virtual reality can also create meaningful learning by directly involving students in constructing their cognitive structures related to facts, concepts, procedures, and metacognition. In addition, this technology is also able to integrate science concepts that were previously fragmented to be integrated comprehensively through 3D virtual simulations. This will help create meaningful learning because students can understand science concepts comprehensively by connecting their experiences to real learning materials through immersive technology. Keywords: Immerse Technology; Meaningful Learning; Science Subject; Virtual Reality
