Abstract

The aims of this article is to describe comparatively the model of community developmentbase on majelis taklim. The rationale framework is used that Islam and Muslims who become the majority can become social capital for community development. The results of this study conclude that the social context being the entry point for community empowering. The articulation of the developmentactivism was adjusted to the real problems. So that from the two majelis taklim are studied show a different development models, but in the same spirit to defend to the opressed.  Key words: Majelis Taklim, Transformative Councelling, the Oppressed, Islamic Economy.

Abstract

The activity of memorizing Quran has been a custom of Muslims since the time of Prophet Muhammad May Peace be upon Him. When the internet developed and became an inseparable part of human life, it was feared to harm the achievement of Quran memorizing. To prove the truth of that concern, this quantitative research was conducted. The research is aimed at measuring the relationship between the duration and variety of internet access with the achievements of hafidz Quran (memorizers). The data are obtained by survey, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed statistically, presented and interpreted descriptively. The results show that internet access’ duration, and its utilization, such as processes, contents, and social forms have significant and positive relationships towards the achievement of the hafidz. On the other hand, the internet use intended for fun or as an escape to release stress does not have a significant relationship with the performance of the hafidz. Keywords: internet access; internet usage; Quran memorization

Abstract

This study aims to understand the global publication’s trend on waqf management around the world until April 2022. This descriptive bibliometric study was conducted by utilizing a literature review from Scopus database. VOSviewer software is used to visualize the results. The analysis carried out includes publication trend, contributions based on country of origin, journals distribution, the most cited articles, bibliographic coupling analysis, and keyword analysis. The results showed that the number of publications on waqf management had increased since its inception in 2007 to April 2022. Malaysia is the country with the most researchers to produce 29 articles. The article entitled “Waqf Accounting and Management in Indonesian Waqf Institutions: The Cases of Two Waqf Foundations” from the journal Humanomics is the most cited with a total of 27 citations. Waqf, waqf management, and cash waqf are the top three most discussed keywords. The keywords "sustainable development", "muslim community", and "history" are not widely discussed. Abstract

Research in the field of madrasah supervisors is still very lacking, this study fills the less space. The problem of this research is whether the competency test of madrasah supervisor candidate conducted by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Java Province has contributed to the development of managerial supervision instruments in the training of the formation of candidates for supervisors of madrasah conducted at BDK Bandung 2015. For the purposes of this study, case study research and as data analysis techniques used simple regression. Anova results show the value of Foutpit = 4.41 while refear table with dk = 1, and df = 69 with 95% confidence level of 3.99. Therefore it can be said that Foutput 4.41 Ftabel  3.34, so H0 rejected and H1 accepted or in other words competence test of candidate supervisor of madrasah have contribution to development of instrument of managerial supervision. The amount of competency test contribution to the development of managerial supervision instrument can be seen from the regression equation Ŷ = 49.77 + 0.26 X. From the regression equation it can be concluded that, every one point increase in competency test will contribute as much as 0.26 points against the development of the instrument managerial supervision. In addition, the supervisory competence test also has a relationship with the correlation coefficient (r=0.247) with the development of managerial supervision instruments. Abstract

This research uses descriptive research and is carried out in the training to strengthening headmaster’s competency. The research is held on two subject matters: teachers’ supervision and education personnel. The main objective of this study is to determine competency improvement by using problem-solving based worksheets. The subjects were training participants. The study was conducted in 2020. The result shows the value of increased competence is 72.15%. This study concludes that the application of using worksheets based on problem solving can improve training participants’ competence. In addition, the application of this learning approach increases both participation and activities of the participants during the learning process in adults.Keywords: competence; problem solving based learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practice of Islamic moderation-based on blended learning in early childhood education during Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative method with case study design. Informants were selected purposively including educators, students, and parents. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis took place in stages, involving collection, exposition, reduction, verification, and data conclusion, as well as triangulating the data sources. The results show that the learning formats at Al-Munar Kindergarten were in form of: 1) adaptive, the availability of required learning model options; 2) communicative, direct or virtual communication between school and students; 3) technology, learning media and digital platforms utilization; 4) innovative, virtual performance; and 5) facilitative, provided learning equipment by the school. The disposition of Islamic moderation is in form of discursive awareness manifested in oral religious understanding and practical awareness through daily ‘adab’ for students.Keywords: Blended Learning; Islamic Moderation; Early Childhood Education; COVID-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

This paper will present the results of experiments in a class by conducting initial and final tests as well as in the control class by conducting mathematics learning in Madrasah Aliyah through contextual approaches, as an effort to improve communication and mathematical connections and student learning interests. Respondents in this study were 72 students from class X Natural Sciences in the city of Bandung. The instruments used include tests of mathematical communication skills, tests of mathematical connection abilities and questionnaires. Interest in learning mathematics. It was found from the researcher that in the mathematics learning class using a contextual approach, communication skills and mathematical connections were better than ordinary classes, even though both of these abilities were classified as low. While interest in learning mathematics in the experimental class is better than in the control class with moderate differences. As for the other things, it turns out that there is no association between communication abilities and mathematical connections Keywords: Mathematic Communication; Mathematic connection; contextual approach

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has not fully brought a new paradigm in learning mathematics, seen by a large number of internet users only limited to the use of social media in every circle. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to describe elearning as a way of learning built by the Learning Management System (LMS), and how this system can play a role in personalizing mathematical concepts. The research method used is descriptive analysis by collecting data, compiling or classifying, analyzing, and interpreting several types of software commonly used in e-learning. The results of the analysis show that mathematical personalization can occur by utilizing the features contained in the topics of LMS and is very useful for building learning objects that are suitable to overcome various didactic obstacles in mathematics learning, encourage more semiotic coordination in presentations, and avoid bad classroom practices during mathematics learning. Personalization through LMS can also produce different didactic abilities by considering the profiles of students.  Key words: personalization, mathematics, e-learning, learning management system.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the relevance of implementing Substantive Education and Training for Mathematics Teachers in terms of improving mathematical creative thinking ability on Islamic elementary, Junior, and Senior High Schools teachers. The population was mathematics teachers who joined training held by Religious Training Center in four regions: Bandung, Semarang, Jakarta, and Surabaya. The research sample consisted of 85 participants. The independent variable of the research is the relevance of Substantive Education and Training for Mathematics Teachers, and mathematical creative thinking ability as the dependent. Mathematical creative thinking ability is viewed from the teacher levels. To measure the relevance, the method uses multiple linear regression tests after taken classical assumption test. The result shows the value F_countF_table= 39,312 3,10, so H0 is rejected, meaning it has significant relevance between the implementation of Substantive Education and Training for Mathematics Teachers to the improvement of mathematical creative thinking ability on all Islamic teachers in the levels of Elementary, Junior, and Senior High Schools who involved.Keywords: relevance; education and training; mathematical creative thinking ability

Abstract

This study seeks to describe the administration of students at MA Al-Muthohhar Purwakarta, beginning with the admission of new students and ending with their graduation. This study employs a qualitative approach and a case study design. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method employs Miles and Huberman's data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions theories. According to the findings, the Management of Students at MA Al-Muthohhar included 1) Student Analysis through the conducting of joint meetings; 2) Acceptance of new students, via PPDB; 3) Selection of new students based on multiple written and oral examinations; 4) Orientation, which introduces incoming students to the school; 5) Student placement, assigning 133 new students to three sections based on the entrance examination’s result; 6) Student development through extracurricular activities and counseling; 7) Reporting, including student attendance, study agendas, report cards, etc; 8) Graduation and alumni, by attaining exam results and memorizing at least thirtieth juz.Keyword: Management; Students; Madrasah
