Abstract

Quality education is able to improve the quality of human resources and the nation's competitiveness in the global era. However, many educational institutions currently face great challenges in maintaining quality stability due to administrative governance which is still considered as a mere archive, not a strategic function. Poor document and data management often leads to low accountability and loss of public trust. Therefore, a transformation is needed in the management of quality administration in order to be able to improve the bureaucracy into a real advantage for schools. This article aims to analyze the management strategy of education quality administration and its impact on improving the overall competitiveness of schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design. The data was collected through a search of scientific databases such as Google Scholar using Publish or Perish (PoP) software with the criteria of journal articles in the last five years. The data analysis techniques used are collecting data, presenting data, and inferring from relevant literature. The results of the study show that an effective quality administration management strategy is integrated in the POAC cycle (planning, organizing, mobilizing, and control), strategic administrative structuring, and harmonizing the digitization of information services. The use of technology has been proven to be able to minimize human error, which directly increases the perception of the professionalism of the institution in the eyes of the public. In conclusion, orderly and transparent administration is an absolute necessary condition in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) to create quality schools. The implication of this study is the importance of school leaders to invest in human resource competencies and system digitalization to build public trust and ensure quality sustainability in the midst of increasingly fierce educational competition.

Abstract

This research examines linguistic politeness strategies within the context of English language instruction at Universitas Qamarul Huda Badaruddin Bagu. Politeness serves as a central focus within pragmatics, a specialized branch of linguistics. Specifically, this study concentrates on the interactions between students and lecturers during the instructional process. Employing a qualitative ethnographic approach, the study involved one lecturer and 30 students from the Cooperative Economics Department. Data were collected through non-participant classroom observations and semi-structured in-depth interviews. The findings showed that the application of Leech’s six maxims within the classroom serves as a vital instrument for academic diplomacy. These include the Tact Maxim, Generosity Maxim, Approbation Maxim, Modesty Maxim, Agreement Maxim, and Sympathy Maxim. Each maxim functions complimentary to balance the rights and obligations of both lecturers and students. The implementation of these maxims successfully minimizes the perceived power distance between the lecturer and students, thereby fostering an equitable classroom atmosphere. Ultimately, this practice cultivates an academic culture rooted in mutual respect, productivity, and empathy.

Abstract

Educational transformation in the era of Society 5.0 requires madrasahs to reconstruct their curriculum evaluation systems in order to adapt to intelligent technology integration while remaining grounded in Islamic values. This study aims to develop a Madrasah Curriculum Evaluation Model based on a Digital Islamic Framework as a response to the conceptual gap between conventional curriculum evaluation and the demands of a digital educational ecosystem. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by PRISMA, examining publications from 2015–2025 related to curriculum evaluation, Islamic education, digital transformation, and Society 5.0. The findings reveal that existing evaluation models remain administrative in nature, academically outcome-oriented, and insufficiently integrated with digital literacy and Islamic ethical dimensions. Through thematic synthesis, this study formulates a Digital Islamic Framework grounded in three core dimensions: theological-normative foundations, pedagogical-digital integration, and socio-transformative orientation. The model positions technology as a means for public benefit rather than an end in itself and reframes evaluation from mere outcome measurement into a strategic-reflective mechanism ensuring madrasahs’ readiness for digital civilization challenges. Theoretically, this study contributes to the advancement of integrative and future-oriented Islamic curriculum evaluation discourse. Practically, it offers a strategic reference for policymakers and madrasah leaders in designing adaptive, value-based evaluation systems.

Abstract

From an educational and psychological perspective, the family is expected to be the primary environment providing love, protection, and the formation of values and character for each family member. This study aims to determine the implementation of family counseling in handling domestic conflict in Bello Village, Kupang City. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques conducted through interviews with married couples experiencing domestic conflict, counselors, and local community leaders. The results of the study indicate that domestic conflict is generally caused by a lack of effective communication, economic problems, differences of opinion in childcare, and interference from the extended family. The implementation of family counseling is carried out through the stages of problem identification, improving communication, providing assistance, and evaluating family relationships. The results of the study indicate that family counseling has a positive impact in reducing the intensity of conflict, improving interpersonal communication, and creating more harmonious family relationships. However, the implementation of family counseling still faces obstacles such as low public understanding of counseling services and social stigma. Therefore, it is necessary to increase socialization and strengthen family counseling services as a preventive and curative effort to maintain household harmony.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in implementing religious culture among Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Kulisusu, North Buton Regency. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with key school stakeholders, observations of religious routines and student interactions, and analysis of relevant school documents. The findings show that religious culture is implemented through integrated habituation practices embedded in daily and periodic school activities, including greeting (salam), prayers before and after lessons, Qur’an recitation (tadarus) at particular moments, strengthening worship discipline, and infaq/charity practices aimed at fostering social care. These practices are sustained through four main mechanisms: habituation, teacher modeling, reinforcement, and monitoring. The study further reveals that PAI teachers play a strategic and multi-dimensional role as program planners, implementers and mentors, role models (uswah), motivators and moral counselors, and evaluators who monitor behavioral change and program continuity in coordination with homeroom teachers and the student affairs unit. Positive impacts are reflected in improved discipline, politeness, and increased participation of many students in religious activities. However, the effects are not evenly distributed due to differences in family support, peer influence, and students’ personal motivation, as well as structural constraints such as limited time and varying classroom commitment. This study implies that strengthening school religious culture requires consistent routines, strong teacher modeling, educational reinforcement, and systematic coordination across school units, alongside enhanced school–parent collaboration. These elements are crucial to ensure the sustainable internalization of religious values and the development of students’ religious character in early adolescence.

Abstract

The transformation of governance in Indonesia after the reform era has placed information transparency as a key pillar of democracy. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of transparency and accountability principles in the management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Government, referring to the standards of Law Number 14 of 2008. Using a descriptive qualitative research design with a case study approach, this study analyzes the entire budget cycle, including the planning, implementation, and reporting stages. The results show that although NTT Province consistently obtains Unqualified Opinions (WTP), the effectiveness of substantial transparency is still hampered by technical constraints in the Regional Government Information System (SIPD) and limited accessibility of real data to the wider public. Administratively, the main obstacles include uneven digital infrastructure and low digital literacy among civil servants. Politically, the dynamics of budget negotiations and pressures on Regional Original Revenue (PAD) targets often limit information disclosure at crucial stages. The theoretical contribution of this study broadens the discourse on digital bureaucracy in underdeveloped regions, while its practical contribution provides recommendations for strengthening the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) and integrating participatory oversight systems. Limitations of this study include the difficulty of accessing unpublished internal meeting data.

Abstract

The accuracy of orthophoto geometry from Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mapping results is highly dependent on the quality of Ground Control Points (GCPs) as georeference references. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number and distribution pattern of GCPs on the accuracy of orthophoto geometry in the operational area of PT Sumber Cahaya Mineral, Jambi. The method used is an experiment by comparing three configuration scenarios: no GCPs, three GCPs, and four GCPs. Accuracy measurements use the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Circular Error 90% (CE90), and Linear Error 90% (LE90) indicators referred to in BIG Regulation No. 6 of 2018. The results of the analysis show that the use of three GCPs with optimal geometric distribution patterns produces the highest accuracy (RMSE 0.00965 m), compared to four GCPs (RMSE 0.01636 m). This finding confirms that increasing the number of GCPs does not always increase accuracy, but rather spatial distribution (distribution pattern) is the main key, as supported by the basic theory of land surveying and photogrammetry.

Abstract

Urban development is increasingly creating environmental pressures that threaten the ecological balance and quality of life in cities, particularly due to the decline of green open space (GOS) caused by rapid urbanization and land-use conversion. However, the historical transformation of green open space in the process of urban development has not been sufficiently studied from an integrative historical and analytical perspective. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the historical transformation of green open space in the context of sustainable urban environmental development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a historical-analytical design, utilizing data obtained from policy documents, urban planning archives, academic literature, and in-depth interviews with experts in the fields of urban planning and environmental management. The data are analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and inference drawing to interpret patterns of transformation in the function, meaning, and governance of green open space across various periods of urban development. The results indicate that green open space has undergone a significant functional shift from traditional public-social space to strategic ecological infrastructure in sustainable urban planning. However, this study also finds a persistent gap between policy discourse promoting green open space and its practical implementation, largely due to land-use conflicts, economic development pressures, and institutional constraints. This study makes a theoretical contribution by emphasizing the importance of integrating historical perspectives into urban sustainability studies and offers insights for policymakers to strengthen environmentally oriented urban planning strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of information technology (IT) in higher education and its role in enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness amid accelerated digital transformation. Although IT is widely promoted as a catalyst for improving instructional quality, empirical evidence shows that its impact remains inconsistent across institutional and pedagogical contexts. Accordingly, this research aims to analyze how and under what conditions IT implementation contributes to effective teaching and learning in higher education. The study employs a mixed-methods explanatory design, combining quantitative survey data from lecturers and undergraduate students with qualitative interviews involving academic staff and institutional managers. Quantitative data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques to identify relationships between IT integration, pedagogical practices, and learning effectiveness, while qualitative data were thematically analyzed to explain underlying mechanisms and contextual factors. The findings reveal that IT implementation significantly enhances learning effectiveness only when it is pedagogically integrated, supported by lecturers’ digital pedagogical competence, and reinforced by coherent institutional support systems. Conversely, technology adoption that is superficial or infrastructure-driven yields limited educational benefits. The study concludes that IT functions as a mediating infrastructure rather than an autonomous driver of educational quality. Its primary contribution lies in advancing a conditional and systemic model of technology-enhanced learning that integrates pedagogical, human, and organizational dimensions, thereby offering theoretically grounded and empirically informed insights for higher education policy, practice, and future research.
